@rob1n2n3 Thanks for watching. Actually the motor was just redone in this video. we needed to have some other supporting mods in the transmission to help with the higher RPM shifts.. a few adjustments and a small mod cleared it right up. I wish we still owned this banshee however we have big plans in store for the newest banshee build. stay tuned and hope you enjoy our videos.
@Lockport2007 No. the 350 is BOTH cylinders added together. so its 175cc each cylinder. the 700 is 1 cylinder totaling 700cc. However a smaller 2 stroke motor will run close to the same horsepower as a bigger 4 stroke. Thanks for asking and thanks for watching
we cut down ours to reduce wind drag.. when racing at the bigger tracks the wind will slightly lift the front end... and also i use it as a reference as i can see what the tire is doing. if its staying clean on the left front i know i'm carrying alot of weight on the right rear tire. helps to make setup changes. Thanks for watching.
@blasterbogger We liked them alot... they worked well with our porting and made good power... but we are going to CPI's on our next build, per our engine builders recommendation. But the Bill's Pipes were nice.. The main thing we noticed was they hit REALLY hard all at once. If you are a gear to high and lug the motor they don't pull on the bottom but as it starts to rev up.. THEY TAKE OFF! very very very easy to light the tires up in every gear!
The problem was the Transmission was not modded at this time to work with the higher RPM's of the MODDED engine. after some testing and tuning and a few more mods all was fixed and it shifts like butter. Thanks for Watching and commenting.
@iBLUbyYOU2 i know. we just got the motor ported and polished and the trans didn't hold up well to the new HP and rev range. it was a testing day and we learned a few thing as far as gearing changes and some other stuff to dial in. had some more minor work on transmission stuff and fixed it right up.. thanks for watching and posting the Specs for the 700.
@dzeroskater2424 actually no this was not stroked it was a STOCK bottom end wild STOCK cyliners that were ported by Wildcard Racing and a Modquad Cool Head. Bill's Pipes and stock carbs. We had our Short Track Gearing on it so it topped out way too fast for the Half Mile. also this was when we just got our new ported motor put in and hadn't gotten all the supporting mods for trans to help with the shifting I was having some issues getting it to shift but we fixed it with a couple mods. Thanks :)
yeah.. our transmission doesn't like our ported motor.. i have found that one out... i guess it's gonna go out to our machine shop and get worked on.. LOL thanks for the comment kokine288
@brutalkidde15 depends on the gearing... this was with our Short Track gearing on it... so it didn't have quite as much top speed. Hence the reason i had to lift off the throttle half way down the straightaway. with our half mile gearing i'm sure it would reach 100+ we typically see the big bore quads in the 90MPH range at the end of the straights on half mile tracks. Thanks for Watching.
are you miss shifting alot cause ive counted way more then six attempts on some of those take offs? i can see why if thats the case i have the same problem on my 250 sometimes. or it kinda sounds like your running a little lean on the jets cause top end it sounds like its starting to sputter off a bit so try richening it a little bit and see what happens.
@element6of6one6 Yes. i have been riding for 19 years. This was a TESTING session for our new engine. The problem was the Transmission was not modded at this time to work with the higher RPM's of the MODDED engine. after some testing and tuning and a few more mods all was fixed and it shifts like butter. Please do not use that kind of language on our videos. We have all ages of fans that watch and read. Thank you for watching.
@SargentBlah First off. Thanks for Watching the video. Secondly. i am riding the Banshee. i don't rev past any safe form of RPM. i am keeping the plugs from building up and fouling out as per our motor builders reccomendations.. also in case you didn't know. it's not good for a 2 stroke to sit and idle for an extended period of time. I am not retarded and do actually know what i'm doing. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion however. so have great day.
@Sheridan987654321 6 speed.. we were having issues with the transmission. Our engine builders fixed us up with some transmission mods and all is good now. :) Thanks for watching.
it takes a beating on the clutch plates though and the shifting fork and the gear itself... kinda like jamming it into gear if you miss shifting xD did that once on a blaster and it didn't sound pretty when it did haha
@cottongrillz11 Thanks. I love Banshee's too. can't wait til i get mine all finished up. But for now the Wildcard Racing ported Blaster will do just fine :) Thanks for watching and make sure you subscribe to keep up to date on future videos!
@benc1978 Normally i only use it for take offs and occasional downshifts or braking corners but in this video we were having some test and tuning runs for the new engine build and it had a much higher rev range for gear shifts. i was using the clutch to see if i could slow the transmission shaft revolution enough to get a smooth gear change. as you can tell. it didn't help so we had to make some other modifications to handle the new power and rpm ranges. Thanks for Watching.
At that point i started in second. i hit third. then missed the shift twice so i was never in fourth. your statement on 1-4 gear change is incorrect. Thanks for watching.
@dirtmoto417 Depends on your style and preference. I PREFER 2 strokes. I'm a Banshee guy. My buddy PREFERS 4 strokes. He is a Raptor guy. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy and subscribe for more vids!
@shawnsadler with all the2 stroke machines i had i always use this rule a 2stroke in powerband is usually the same as a 4 stroke double the size like 350 2 stroke pretty much equal to a 700 4 stroke (stock to stock of course) this hardly ever let me down
@gavinabcdefghi yeah we have a 660 on our team. reliable bike just gotta watch the 01-02 years some of them had Transmission problems.. other than that we haven't had any issues from our 03..
or you could pop shift, you almost hold it pinned the whole time and shift with the clutch really fast, dont let off the gas or only a little. just watch out that thing does not come out from under you
Daryl - ALL of our portwork is done by Wildcard Racing in Levan, Utah. Give them a call or send them a message on BansheeHQ for ALL of your needs and tell them Sadler-Foreman Racing sent you.
you always miss your shift you should machined your transmission.A stock banshee shift at 7900rpm and if you got a good porting your banshee should shift near 9000 to 9500rpm and a stock transmission works bad pass 8500rpm.
lol.. like the fender ever blocked anything anyway.. the tires always stick way out past them and there is no problem with dirt coming at you.. its the guy behind that eats all the dirt.. you probably no plenty about that though
i have a blaster (i hate it) i also have a raptor 660 (love it) and i know the raptor is a twin, but the twin and a 2 stroke? the banshee is too much to maintain.
Damn at the beginning around the 1:00 mark I was thinking that was a blaster, and I was like "how is that blaster going THAT fast!?! Must be heavily modified!" Then I suddenly noticed the front, right in front of the handlebars and realized it's a Banshee. No wonder he was going so insanely fast! Because it's a Banshee, not a blaster. lol That thing is wicked fast. I'm guessing the top speed on that is around 75 or 80mph??
Blasters and Banshees are great for quick rides or races but your on the gears all the time on tight courses were as 4 strokes are less demanding on gears.
Is a raptor 660 a reliable quad? My friend wants to sell me his it needs a clutch and has been sitting for a while he only road it one season and his brother broke his back on it so now they want to sell it is it a good buy? Or do raptors break alot?
Try a modded shift drum for easier shifting your revvin it out so hard it isnt shiftin good banshee shift like shit stock to begin with, now your really revvin it out. If you lower it youll be abole to run it way faster around that oval and if you gear it a little higher
@MEMYBANSHEE Well we won't give away all of our secrets but. cool head with 20cc domes, Wildcard Racing porting, Cam2 Race Fuel, Amsoil Dominator 2stroke oil, and Bill's Pipes. get ahold of Wildcard Racing to set u up a build. Tell them Sadler-Foreman Racing sent you. Brandon and Shay are great people and do awesome work. now if i could only learn how to shift in the high RPM's LOL.. we got it fixed and needed to make adjustments...
