Put the foil the long way plenty of overlap will save you time and product. The 30 year veteran who was bashing you probably doesn’t understand the product and the superior adhesion of it. It lays on textured so is VERY forgiving and a completely different animal than enamel. You guys are doing great and you are good kids. Keep it up.

Lol, 30 yr vet. He must suck if he hating some young positive latinos getting money. Product hasn't even been out that long so he damn sure doesnt have the experience using the product. I'm a mechanic and have some years of body work and paint behind me as well. Just turned 40 yeaterday. I've been working on cars with my pops and brothers for 20yrs. So you can say I'm a 20yr vet and you guys are doing great and getting better and better each video. You got my support. Keep up the great work. Learning is hands on and your progress awesome.
I was just watching this video and heard you mentioned about the negative comments. Please do not let these people get to you they are just jealous in most cases. As far as 30 years experience yeah you’re right he doesn’t have very good life experience. He needs to learn to be a better human being first. I like the aluminum foil trick, but may I suggest that to save even more turn the foil length wise and it will wrap more area and save you even more money. That two tone looks great. That is what I want to do to my Toyota 4Runner.

Hey guys just want to say I enjoy watching your vids! And don't worry about the "30 year veteran" I'm sure he had to start somewhere too. But i know ppl who have 25 year experience in other fields but there work is not great. So keep learning and try to do a better job every time. It looks good! I think ppl need to understand these finish are not for car show. In my opinion there very usable ever day working vehicles that are excellent alternative to reg paint. Plus they look cool! You're doing a good job. Remind me of me when I was our age. Keep honing your skills. An old trick for covering tires is to use large garbage bags. Cheap and easy. Split one side and slide over the tire. Remember, the small details is what makes a good job last (like making sure the clear coat is sanded). Do that detail with everything. You'll have results that stand the test of time. Again, good job at doing something. For the guy who bashed your work. Screw him. You're learning.
You guys good but a tip you guys should wet the floor lest dust and trash that will stick to the paint on some light color cars like the Yukon you guys did

No negative comments here. New subscriber. I just got a big chevy silverado 2500hd duramax. The guy spray painted black over the original dark blue. I think i have learned enough from these kids im willing to tackle on my own and paint it blue in the raptor. I like the finish. Keep up the good work guys!!

I recommend spending the extra money on Upol vari-nozzle gun. You can dial in the texture from ultra fine to coarse for consistent results everytime without having to fiddle with different PSI. The gun that comes with the kit is junk, it's prone to getting clogged which results in inconsistent texture. It ends up splattering and spitting big blobs. Also, I suggest not spraying the "back wash"...toss the last 5-10% of the bottle and start with a fresh one. By the time you get to the bottom of the bottle, the hardener is already setting and doesn't flow as smoothly. You can check some of the stuff I've done featured on Raptor's Instagram under the same username.

Mr. Wes, this is "the camera man" First of all, thank you so much for your support and comment sir. One of the boys is my son and the other is my youngest brother, and I try hard to keep them motivated and give them recognition for all their accomplishments as well as point out when the young boys make mistakes in life. this RU-vid channel is a new venture us three are doing together and even though there may negative people commenting from time to time, the positive comments and words of encouragement such as the one you have posted give these boys a true sense of encouragement and outweigh the negativity some people post. Wow Great Job Boys. $300 for all that work? That is way too cheap. If I could come down to Texas I would definitely pay you to raptor my truck. Unfortunately I live about 2000 miles away. I’m sure you dad is very proud of you. You guys are awesome and I love seeing kids doing work and staying out of trouble. You guys will definitely be successful in your future and keep smiling. Just one word of advice for your videos, you guys need to joke around a bit in the videos and make the viewers laugh a bit. Don’t be so serious, cmon dad give them a break and let them have fun.
Man people are just bitter, if your not as good as they are (yet) they are usually supportive and give tips, when your better than they are....they talk crap and try to point out all of your flaws! Don't worry about what others do, keep doing what your doing....that's what sets people apart, those who do, and those who complain about what others do.
Try using cling wrap or a roll of shrink wrap too instead of the aluminum foil... it works on the engine bay to to cover odd shaped items to not over spray it.
I watch all of your videos. You guys do a great job. And you get better with every video. I have a pickup I plan to raptor. If it wasn't a 700 mile drive I would hire you in a second.

Since I'd like to do this for my jeep as well, you guys hopefully will come back here periodically and see our suggestions, like doing a 99-04 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, the ones with the two-toned cladding along the bottom of the doors, as well as the bumpers in Raptor liner. That's the style that I have and would like to see how it's done "Un-professionally" by some real guys trying to help people. Thank you for making this video and keep up the great work! Good job guys I’ve done my Tacoma, I have the adjustable texture gun and have found it to be really nice to spray a fine texture on the truck and a really aggressive texture on the fender flares and bumpers , two tone of course wish I could share a picture to show what I’m talking about
