Thank you for pointing out that the high pigmentation of this brand gives those with deeper skin tones more options. I have seen a lot of complaints about the pigmentation from people who have overapplied the products, but I am happy to see the effort for inclusivity.
Since it’s been almost a year since your first impressions and many other products came out (like mascara and eyeshadows!) I think it would be fun to see a video of what products you still like to use and your thoughts about newer releases! I also have mono lids and short down-pointing eyelashes so I always enjoy watching your videos!
Out of so many rare beauty review i watched i like urs the most Jen! I hope to see more beauty video from u again. Cause this year seems like u only got few beauty video and i miss you doing beauty video so much. I love ur honesty in doing review.
I’m glad you did a review with Selena’s brand. I haven’t felt a desire to buy any of the lipstick colors but now I’m going to go add that Brave color 😏 and maybe Thankful lip balm 😏😏
I bought the liquid blush in bliss and joy, my skin is just a shade lighter than yours and I find that even bliss is on the brighter side than expected. Also I totally agree with you on the lip balm shade praise, it looks super pretty from picture and swatches and then I tried it on and it was bright 👀, can’t wear that till spring comes around. Thanks for the review Jen 💕
it could be that selena's natural lip color makes the color of the lip shade look more orange-y, but i think some people pull off the color you're wearing quite nicely. ive never been a red/orange lip kind of girl. im not pro at makeup but im learning >_
I tried out the foundation and it was too drying for me 😭 but I’m still super interested to try the blushes and the lip soufflés especially seeing how pretty those lip shades are on you 😍
I bought the foundation, brow gel, concealer, and spray. I love the foundation, it is the perfect weightless foundation while providing coverage. the concealer is good but i have others that are cheaper and similar (maybeline age rewind). I fell in love with the brow gel, def step up from the NYX powder i used previously. The setting spray I find refreshing and great for multi use since i have not owned a primer or setting spray before! Great video! loved your input, thank you!
Yeah the concept is similar of being a very hydrating lip product! But the Rare Beauty balms have more opacity than Revlon Lip Butters which were more a sheer tint even if they were very bright
21:34 made me laugh bc THAT WAS LITERALLY ME AFTER I APPLIED THAT LIP SAME PRODUCT haha I've been so used to MLBBs and not applying anything that a face mask would just cover up
Thank you for doing this video! I love that lip balm (thankful) color on you, could you please recommend a blush to go with it? I have a similar skin tone to you. Also, wish there was a test of the love liquid blush, but maybe next time. :)
Hi jen! I super looovee your vlogs. I’ve been watching your videos since 2012. I’m a super fan of yours. I love your make-up ever since I started watching you. You inspired me ❤️🙏 writing a comment now here using my mom’s account. Love you and your videos ❤️❤️❤️
I wear 230 w in the foundation and I love the blushes. I have grace and bliss and ever since I got them I can't stop using grace. I always reach for it now. It looks like how my cheeks look when they're naturally flushed. It does take a learning curve though. I apply 1 to 2 dots on the cheek, blend it out with my finger and spread it to where I want it, then I take a medium density brush and blend out the edges.
Wait. You put the blush on and the immediate color payoff was intense but it very quickly blended and became so subtle and beautiful so why did you say you won’t use that color? It’s gorgeous on you!
Ahaha yes- I do the same thing when wearing a more intense lip color, I talk and hold my mouth weird! 🤣🤣. And and and, a product that has a tiny bit of baby powder scent also ends up making me smell like I dumped baby powder all of me!
I noticed you use a lighter brow-- does this mean that even though I'm Asian and have black hair, it is looks more natural to purchase browns rather than ash greys ? Thanks-- love, a girl trying to up her brow game.
I'm Asian and all of my foundations are light neutral. I use Tarte's black brown big ego brow pomade. I recommend the darkest shade of brown. It looks great on so many skin tones. Medium brown or lighter is too light that they look orange or red in natural lighting, but a dark brown or darker looks great in any lighting.
If you're concerned about your hyperpigmentation I highly suggest taking a look at dr vanita rattan's channel! She's a dermatologist and cosmetic formulator and she has loads of videos with information about how to prevent hyperpigmentation on skin of colour!
I love Selena , but is it just me because I feel that the foundation rubs off instantly and it doesn’t stay on my face ... her lip soufflé inspire is a lip stain so idk @frmheadtotoe
