Being one who grad high school in 76 and a rocker this one of few albums I loved that the girls liked hearing too. Heard it a lot! My fav funk music ever. Damn sure beat haveing to hear disco. This was one tight ass talented group. Thank you for posting . Ah memories
Awesome band! Have the vinyl in perfect condition that opens up like a backpack. Play it quite often and it always gets the house pumping. Such an underrated band.
So good to hear this again. So good to see the album cover once again. I had this album. I bought it in "72. I loaned it to a friend. He left it on the seat of his car on a hot summer"s day. It melted. It Warped. It was unplayable. The needle bounced up and down like a roller coaster.(I tried) It pissed me off. I never replaced it. I learned a lesson. Don't loan albums. Now, I just want to celebrate hearing it again. Rare Earth were bad mother fletchers live. Thanks a million for sharing.
Everytime I hear a story about something being loaned out gone bad I think of the wise advice my father once gave me..... "if you have something to loan then you have something to sell."

I wish the segues between tunes would have been more cohesive and more extensive guitar soloing than wah wah wah wah cause when I saw them around o nine I was hearing stuff like Stevie Ray Jimi n Derringer groovin the fret board with smokin renditions of cover n originals😢
Good band. First three albums rule. They kind of lost their way on the last two. I mean not terrible, both were listenable but the magic was gone. This album is the shit! Childhood memories and me, going to a 70% black school , everybody loved them. Sabbath and Grand funk too. Not like today where it’s either Rock, country, hip - hop, Metal or Jazz. We all dug everything! Pete was all over the place with his name change, Hub, and solo stuff. Just sing the funk and roll brother! That’s why god put you here!
