Always enjoy your enthusiasm for our hobby, great video. The lead piece with 2 indentations looks like a Palm guard. Like a hand sized thimble for forcing big needles through canvas so probably used for tent repair. Sailors also used them for sail repairs.

It occurred to me this morning to think about the folks working in the armaments factories, churning out the instruments of destruction. We know so much about the war machine of WW-2, but nothing of the WW-1 or Civil War industry. ---Loved the photos this week. I'm always amazed at what your research uncovers.
It occurred to me this morning to think about the fact that Greg knows more about me regarding detecting, therefore explaining my usual finds of Miller cans rather than relics. 😁

WOW GREG, that stuff is amazing. I've always been intrigued by the civil war. Thank you for bringing a little bit of history into our lives. I try to sit back and visualize what was going on at those battlefields and place myself in it as an observer. The j hook for that backpack is awesome. Thank you so much for sharing this
WOW!!!! What a great hunt and video. I know you realize how special it is to have access to land with with history like that coming out of the ground. You guys are truly blessed. All the bullets and relics were great but the Shiloh token Chris found was just off the charts awesome. I just kept saying wow to myself throughout the whole video. Fantastic hunt guys. This might have the perfect candidate to run a pulse induction machine through there and dig really deep targets and hope that there was a gold dollar or two floating around there somewhere. Isn't the Civil War iron often a keeper of some kind anyway? It's a blessing to live that close to these Civil War camp sites. I'm blessed with Revo War battles sites but only a few Civil War relics come up and now then and most of the bigger battlefields are off limit and turned into state historic parks. Until I can take a trip to a place that's not completely hunted to death we get to watch you and Chris dig it up. At least it's going to a couple of deserving guys
That rare token that man found is going to be the reason why l will not rub the dirt off of my finds ever again. Be like rubbing sandpaper over a rare find.
Copper coins are safe to rub in most cases and this one was way far gone past the point of ever being graded. There was no downside to field cleaning this one. Thanks for watching. Greg
