Do you mind me asking please..(my dad also idolised him) In the films information I have read Bruce had demons…had a brain swell after taking a pill given to him in his mistresses home..that’s the information I found online..:
I had the honor to witness Bruce Lee in training in Virginia beach, Va at Chuck Norris Studio when I was in Navy SEAL training, Fastest man I ever saw and the nicest guy ever...
Well there's 10 minutes of my life I'll never get back... And the title of this waste of time still holds true. "Rare Footage of Bruce Lee's Real Fight With Karate World Champion That You've Never Seen" and still haven't... smh ☹😖
You could have scrolled past. And yet, you chose to watch the video. And then you complain about it. If all you have are negative comments, then why not just keep scrolling.
Legend has it…Chuck Norris once got bitten by a Cobra. Being nowhere near a hospital for rapid treatment, after two weeks in agony, the cobra finally died
Legend has it.. Chuck Norris was once bitten by a bear. Norris unarmed, bit the bear back and three weeks later he was seen wearing a fur coat in new New York.
SO To get this correct a video of Bruce fighting the world karate champion I have never seen. Now I've watched the video I still have not seen Bruce fight the world Karate champion. You could have put video of Bruce Lee baking a cake and I would not have seen that either.
Another bait and switch video that's almost all narration by some guy and no substance. And yes, why do so many RU-vid videos have to drown out dialogue with annoying music?
Bruce Lee changed the laws of physics, in the Martial arts, he founded a new Martial art, JEET KUNE DO...THE WAY OF THE INTERCEPTING FIST. It's not a style or set form, it's like water, formless shapeless but it can be all form's, it can blend into ANYTHING .There are no forms or katas, no colored belts, you have to find what will work for you.
Bruce Lee was the innovator of what MMA is today. MMA was just a mix of disciplines in a tournament but Lees teachings of taking what works from any given style is literally what modern MMA is
Bruce Lee's record in full contact karate tournaments was 0:0. He never competed. I've been in seminars with Joe Lewis and Bill Superfoot Wallace. Both respected Bruce Lee but confirmed that Bruce Lee never competed in full contact tournaments.
@khalaq2 easy to rectify problem.... I will unsubscribe..... and they can AI themselves in a dark corner..... I don't need their content..... thank you for helping me to make my decision to UNSUBSCRIBE.....
Chuck Norris was such a classy guy and a very good fighter. The fight scene in the movie "Way of the Dragon" was one of the best movie fight scenes ever. Bruce is still missed. That says a lot, so many years later.
I thought the fight scene that took place in the pantry, in the Pink Panther movie was the best, although the bathroom fight scene in Pineapple Express is also a great make believe fight scene.
There is only 3 recorded minutes of footage where Bruce Lee is actually competing in a real event. So whenever someone says they have a video of Lee competing…it’s a hodgepodge of movie scenes, exhibitions, training videos or interview click bait that is on repeat…. just ignore it.
There's not a SINGLE video of him fighting anyone ever. Literally nothing. He's just an actor. If he were real there would be tons and tons of footage.
GOAT of what? Martial arts movies and choreography? Cuz he was not a fighter or competitor. Chuck Norris competed. Lee didn't. He sparred and staged silly one inch patty-cake vids with someone he paid to take a fall. No one can one inch someone across a floor bro, hence the chair and the pushing. A punch has to be wound up, swung, and have to actually move arm, shoulder to generate power to make it land with force. He was swatting flies it seemed to me.
You exaggerate. You say 6m when I see 3.5m. You use words like philosopher, yet don't back that up with argumentation. Sensational video. I don't like people who sensationalise and exaggerate. That's what the mainstream does. And nothing good ever comes from it.
These movies as a teen compelled me into the martial arts! For 50 years now, my training has been a part of my life, and has kept me physically fit ! On one occasion saved my life!✋🏻
Bruce Lee was a bit like Steven Seagal in the way that they were pretty much untested throughout their lives. No pedigrees regarding continuous tournament success.. Just exciting and entertaining chronographed set pieces with stunt men or demos at events
He did box he was Hong Kong boxing champion in high school. He trained with all the top guys, who all still talk highly of him with great respect, especially his speed.
Bruce Lee was a great actor. His mythical status is based more his martial art performance in film, in demonstration, and on non corroborated hearsay than in reality. We have no evidence of his participation in competitive martial arts. We know of Chuck Norris’s and Bob Wall’s competitive accomplishments. We know of no such regarding Bruce Lee. His accomplishments are more the stuff of myth than reality. He was a great actor for sure, and we have to give him his props for his accomplishments in film. We bought the hype about him on account of his acting.
he was actually a very bad actor, he had too many complexes to act natural all these pissy ass face expressions trying to look like a tough guy , he was aufful
@@jamesanagnos6123 I believe that there might be merit in your view, brother, but his role in his films hooked attention worldwide (as a teenager in the 70s, I was myself hooked) enough so that his on-screen martial art “excellence” is believed by many as reality.
@@riccouchman5604 i agree with you my self as well looked up to him and got inspired by his movies but i always knew they were movies nothing more at some point we all grow up and know better but some like the guy below saying hes 67 and still idolizes him shows hes still a child
@PassportBachelor Simply put, brother, you don’t bite the hand that feeds you. Mr. Norris knew exactly what he was doing. Bruce Lee had the international and star acclaim. And in my opinion, he (Norris) would have wiped the floor with Bruce Lee any day. Mr. Norris’s real world accomplishments in competitive kumite can be corroborated. The evidence is there. The supposed real world stuff about Bruce Lee was mere hyperbolic and exaggerated hearsay. Oh and the deluded is the one who appeals to mere fantasy rather than hard evidence.
@PassportBachelor wow really Norris never said any such thing thats your imagination running away like all the rest of the bruce the flee fans out there, you are all delusional and need help lol now stf up and go find something to do clown, Norris would have eaten him up and spit him out , but hes not an egotisical little man like birch boy bruce so he does not cause waves he just says nice things to go along with the flow of the millions of fans the little clown had
You gotta admit that his fight against Bob Wall was pretty amazing. We're lucky to have it on film when you know it was a secret tournament on a secret Island.😂
First, I never have the volume on when I watch RU-vid videos. Second, I trained in Kyokushin karate from '68 to '75 in San Francisco under Donald Buck. In '69 he introduced me to Bruce who liked my philosophies and invited me to his home many times when he was available. He personally taught me the one inch and the floating punches over 2 years. Being skinny and now old and skinny, I still train 3 hours a day while incorporating that punch. The problem in his video is that the person he punched/pushed was standing with his feet side by side. In fighting, one foot should always be behind the other bracing for impact. I take bodybuilders and tell them to take their strongest stance making sure that their back leg is bracing them for impact. I laughingly tell them to not worry I won't hurt them, because you know I'm skinny. The trick in this punch is to not push up against the back leg but to push in the direction of between their legs in other words where no back leg is supporting that direction. They always stumble back several feet in amazement. Then I tell them the secret and they laugh with me. The floating punch is good for a quick jab to the face but the power lies in a hammer fist to the face the very second your opponent confronts you with his chest out, arms down and chin up. Which is what every opponent on the street who has picked on me has done. And is the exact opposite of what a real fighter will do. Chest in, arms up, chin down, attack first. Or simply laugh at them for being stupid and walk away. I have four blacks in Kyokushin, one black in judo, 10 years of kickboxing and 2 years of Krav Maga. Still skinny though.
Yea, it always looks much more like a push, than a punch. Certainly no disrespect to Bruce, but this one was more illusory than his normal tactics/skills and philosophies.
The video that shows Bruce Lee destroying two Ping Pong players using nunchucks. It’s easy to think the video is real but, the video was produced in 2008 nearly 35 years after Lee died and it was created to promote a Nokia product.
@PassportBachelor it has everything to do with the subject, the man was trying to prove a point that mostly lies are told about bruce lee his fans think he had super human ability when in reality he was a little clown , if what he said went over your head that sounds like a personal problem to me
@PassportBachelor I’m sorry my comment upset you so much that you felt you had to comment, but, the subject matter is Bruce Lee and his so called abilities. The clip I commented on is in the video footage, so I think it’s relevant
I read his biography that he wrote when he was still alive and yes, I’m that old he wrote that he would never want to be hit by Chuck Norris in anger. He said that man hit that damn hard. It’s a good thing they were friends.
@@mickykray5301 yes he wrote it picky picky there are some good pictures in there too. I’ve looked at 4 at the bookstore, but can’t find it. I really don’t need it since I read it just so you know I also read every book Einstein ever wrote
2:06 Soooooooo why didn’t he Box ? Or go into Kickboxing?? Olympic Boxing or Judo?? Without ever ACTUALLY competing it’s impossible to honestly believe that Bruce Lee was anything more than an actor.
Competitions mainly were point karate which bruce didnt care about. Chuck norris was world champ and according to chuck has never been in a real fight. So chuck is just an actor
@@mrporsche4236Somewhere there’s video of Norris saying he’d never seen anything like the things Bruce Lee could do. He said he was extremely impressed.
"I'm a philosophy major. That means I can think deep thoughts about being unemployed." ~ Bruce Lee "Self-Conquest is the greatest of victories. Mighty is he who conquers himself." ~ Bruce Lee
He definitely was the goat in the 70s, but today's combat sport ( MMA) this style is ineffective to say the least. But everybody loved him including me. I would often imitate him in real life fights in my youth 😂
You know that this video is going to be complete bullshido when their first scene is well known as a CGI creation for a Nokia commercial and not the real Bruce Lee. Jesse Glover did measure Bruce’s punch at .05 of a second, but claiming that was the fastest punch in history is bogus. SPORTS ILLUSTRATED measured Ali’s punch at .04 of a second in 1969 and he outweighed Lee by roughly 85 lbs. Showing Lee looking like a novice on the heavy bag and more pushing than punching isn’t doing his legacy any favors either. The “fight scene circulating on the internet” is a sparring demo Bruce did with his own students at Ed Parker’s tournament in 1967, not Lee fighting or competing against anyone. It’s a demonstration. The only competitive fight Lee ever had was a single boxing match in High School in a tournament in Hong Kong between the Private Catholic schools. Despite the movie and TV fight scenes showing Lee competing in martial arts tournaments, that international or western boxing match was his only competition fight. He did win a city wide dance competition for the Cha Cha though. “Bruce Lee mastered Grappling”. LOL! He dabbled a little in Judo, but being generous, his grappling would be at the level of a BJJ White Belt with a couple of stripes. Referencing the “crappling” Lee did in his movies, which weren’t the legitimate techniques, isn’t doing his legacy any favors either. Showing a choreographed fight scene in the film between Bruce and Bob Wall and pretending that was a real representation of their fighting prowess is particularly embarrassing. While I always give Lee credit for doing weight training during an era when most martial artists believed the myth that it would make you slow and reduce your flexibility, but routinely doing squats with 95 lbs for 10 reps for several years is not very impressive. Some people might think that I am attacking Bruce’s legacy with these comments. I have been a fan of Bruce Lee’s for over 50 years. Bruce had many legitimate accomplishments and contributions but this and many similar videos are mostly fiction and consists of fabricated fairytales. These lies don’t honor Bruce. There’s a small industry of parasites that exploit Lee’s legitimate legacy for their own notoriety and profit, that creates these lies and misinformation through movies, books, RU-vid channels and videos like this one
Bruce Also used his Brains;.....(I.e.) He endorsed using "Equipment"......In a Physical Situation.... Grapple, Kick n' Punch all U like; I would keep a few "Useful Items" like: Nunchaku; Escrima Sticks, Bo and other Modern 'Paraphilia' to be On-Top in a Physical To-n'-through.... This is the 03rd Decade of the 21St Century, U know..... And East Asians move with the times like everybody else....(P.s. I donot like to loose the Skin on my Knuckles, makes me look unsightly n' uncouth....).... Upgrade and Evolve, Or become Obsolete n' Extinct...... In a Hundred Years Time Bruce Lee will still be remembered;......Who is David Hughes?!!
@@garychin5321 First, none of that nonsense you posted makes the lies posted in this video true, Lumpy. Nor did any of the facts I posted diminish Lee’s legitimate accomplishments, contributions or legacy. Calling out the numerous lies that were told about Bruce Lee in this and many other videos like it, is not an attack against the real man. It should only bother people who are trying to exploit his legacy with these false claims. Bruce Lee was legitimately a great conceptual martial artist, a visionary for his era and a tremendous athlete. Moreover, he was the most influential martial arts performer in history and the BLACK BELT Hall Of Fame Instructor of the Year for 1972. Second, Lee’s ability to use weapons in a fight, doesn’t matter if we’re talking about single, unarmed combat. As far as weapons are concerned, I have cross trained in and taught the Filipino Martial Arts for over 40 years and am Guro level in Modern Arnis, Inayan Eskrima, Cabales Serrada Escrima and the Doce Pares and the Escrido systems. I also tested under GM Tadashi Yamashita for 8th dan in Okinawan Kobudo. Beyond that, by your logic, as a licensed tactical trainer who moonlights by teaching federal law enforcement officers, why shouldn’t I bring firearms into the equation? As for who is David Hughes, I am someone who has never had any ambition of being an actor, even though I have had offers in the past. As a martial artist and fighter though, my fighter’s profile/bio from the PKA, the world’s most prestigious kickboxing organization is copied and pasted below: “PKA Worldwide, who are we? Meet David Hughes! David Hughes began training in the martial arts in Judo and Japanese Jujitsu at the age of six in 1971. His first two schools closed on him, but the third time was a charm. He became one of the very early students under GGM Ernie Reyes, Sr, and GGM Tony Thompson even before they formed their WCWMA Association. He is currently a 9th-degree Black Belt; a student of Grand Master Thompson and Grand Master Reyes since the mid-1970s and performed as a member of the original West Coast Demo Team. Over the years as a competitor, he has won a national championship in Black Belt Open Forms; an International Championship in Full Contact; and a World No-Gi Championship in Jiu-Jitsu. He has also won Silver Medals at the 2010 NAGA World Grappling Championship (Expert Super Heavyweight) and in the Black Belt Heavyweight Gi division at the 2014 World Jiu-Jitsu Championships for his age group. He is also a licensed tactical trainer and was a collegiate national champion in his weight class in both powerlifting and bodybuilding back when they were drug tested. He owns and operates the Gallatin, TN WCWMA school with his wife Sandy, currently a 7th-degree black belt and a former NASKA Top Ten Forms and Weapons competitor. She is also a fitness author and the creator of the BUILD A BLACK BELT BODY system.”
Although Bruce Lee is considered a fight Legend by many, the Facts about his fighting ability are glaringly obvious. There is no footage of him in a full contact real fight and his fight record remains 0-0-0!
@@jamesanagnos6123Exactky. He pushed a guy who didn't resist, and we are supposed to be amazed. Bruce never fought any real fighters. He was an actor, that's all.
Lee never earned a certificate of training let alone a teaching certificate from Win Chun kung fu. So his prowess was all performative, not authentic or useful for real fights.
first of all bruce lee never through his punch from 1 inch you can call it what you want but he loaded up for at leats 12 inches before he punched and the man staning in front of him had no resistance he was standing straight up and got pushed into a chair , wow what a feat no one else could do that hahaha you clowns grow ta F up
That is NOT Bruce Lee playing ping pong! That is NOT a real fight it is a Demo at a tournament! Chuck Norris Never taught Bruce Lee how to kick high.. Lee was doing high kicks during Green Hornet series before movies! Bruce Lee did learn more techniques from Gene Labell.. Bruce Lee would visit Kung Fu schools in San Francisco California. Lee had an eye to learn so quickly! " He was born fast", said Wally Jay 10rh degree black belt judo pro! " I tried to catch Lee he was a step ahead of me " said Wally Jay. ✅✅✅✅✅
I know the footage is old, but I'm pretty sure I saw either that dudes soul pop out of his body (1 inch punch watching .25 speed), or just flat out defying the virtual reality we live in :P I study psych, and watching this makes me fully believe in the power of the mindfulness, self discipline. Incredible.
The video itself may not have been great but you still had the honor of watching the badest man that ever lived on this planet. His style is like no other combinig speed, stength, and finesse to becme truly one of a kind. All you knit pickers whining about the quality of the film when you got to witness the King of Kung Foo that we may never see again. There will never be another like him, to this day no one has ever come close to having his skills and power. the man is an icon having topped out at 150 pounds could produce enough power to knock out anyone twice his size with one punch a few inches away. RIP Bruce your mission is complete
