With my favorite Australian loco, the NR, so ubiquitous, and the beautiful scenery, I think you've convinced me that when I move to OZ, it will be to the Adelaide hills. Thanks.

If you like the NR class, the Adelaide Hills is the place to be for trains, and as you said, the scenery is magnificent! All year round, there's something to do in the Adelaide Hills, from wineries to fruit picking; we've even got a chocolate factory. I highly recommend the move, mate! Matt - M&S Trains

I'm retired and would be a drain on your health care system, so, the government doesn't want me. We looked into it a couple of decades ago, and they made it tough for us in our 50's. Videos will have to do, I think, so please, keep them coming! @@MS_Trains

Great video! Your drone footage certainly adds to your coverage! Just of note, Goulburn is 225 kms by rail from Sydney, with the 225 km peg being at the end of Platform 2.

As an American, these trains look very much like American streamliners from the 1950's through the 1980's. Makes me appreciate how much I miss them here. Guess I'll have to take a trip to Oz and ride some of them.

They're very similar! Our Streamliners were own built here between the 50's and late 70's aswell but some continued to be used decades later. It's a rare sight across most of Australia! Plenty of tourist operators still use them but only a handful of freight operators on the Mainline. Matt - M&S Trains

@@MS_Trains American streamlined cars were built here from the 30's through the '50's. Big diffence to your country. They were older and retired a lot sooner. I'm referencing Australian trains such as the Ghan, Indian Pacific, etc. that still use the corrugated aluminum sided cars on their trains. They look great to me and are sorely missed here in the US. Canada, besides you guys, have the last of the 1950's style streamlined cars in regular service.

it took me a while to find it but eventually i found the incident you mention at 0:42 and it was worth it. the back end of a b-double is hanging off the side of a bridge. i hope they rebuild the railing so it can never ever happen again. what a shit rail service this country has. a road train buggers up the line west of broken hill and a b-double nearly drops onto rail tracks in footscray. i ordered some stuff on-line that has to cross the continent to get here. no wonder its bloody late.

Why are DIRTY NR's at the helm? This is Australia's most iconic train! 3rd world railways! Where is the livery painted Indian Pacific locomotive? No excuse!
