On "My Car Story" we're at the Carlisle Events in Carlisle PA on 7-14-23.
We're looking at a 1969 Dodge Dart GTS GT Sport in White Paint. The car comes with the M Code 440 CI V8 engine, and an automatic transmission.
The car's Owner is Mickey Tate. Mickey’s had this car since 2018. He shared that he had a car like this before, sold it and then needed to find another one, and searched for 8 years and found this car. His wife Connie feels relieved he found his Toy again and now this will save a lot of time no longer searching for one.

That is an awesome car. It's hard to imagine Chrysler corporate bigwigs approving a 440 Magnum in a Dart. Fortunately, someone did allow it. The car story is simple and basic, but it;s a rock solid story - the man gets lucky many times - he gets his dream car, and he's got a woman who understands and supports him. That's as good as it gets. Thanks Lou!

What a great (and rare) Dart! Mrs. Tate is right; once you have one of these, you just have to hold onto it. So glad the found another one, and that we get to enjoy it on the channel today. Thanks, Lou!

Beautiful car.

Fastest muscle car I ever rode in back in this Era- before modern turbo and supercharged hemis was a 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger 340😊 so much fun ,basic and fast! Thank you Lou!

There was one on the South Strip (U.S. 31) in Indy back in the late 60s early 70s. The guy who owned it had done a few upgrades. That thing was unbeatable.
@Rick1959
Fantastick!!! Thanks Lou!!! FYI, I saw one like this in Blue (it was 1970 though) at Carlisle in 1989.The car was for sale and low mileage, about 10K if memory serves me correctly. Price? $10,000.00....If I'd only bought it.....Many Thanks again for making this beauty available to see 🙂

Outstanding Dart !! I’m a white, Big-Block Mopar guy so this baby checks off all the boxes for me !👍🏼
@Red-rl1xx
Really cool! I think I may have mentioned before that my dad bought a 340 Dart new in '69. It was blue with a white stripe and bench seat. It was our family car for 10 years.
@M21L35
'68 & '69 Darts were the all-time epitome of the model!

UNBELIEVABLE ‼️... I HAD A "440" IN MY 70' ROADRUNNER AND I THOUGHT I WAS "BADASS"😎... "SOMETHING SO BIG, IN SOMETHING SO SMALL"..."BRAGGING RIGHTS"👍
@JeffKing310
What a nice Dart! Another beauty on the channel.

Sweet tire fryer!

People drop big blocks in A bodies all the time, but seeing a original is special.
@stevevice9863
Learned to drive on a 71 Dart Swinger, so have a soft spot for late 60's early 70's Darts. That is a whole lot of engine for a Dart.
@ollienilson1644
Nice car Lou, love it. A MOPAR fan like me. Tanx Lou. Keep going.
@fortyshooter1
Very nice 440 Dart! I had a 1969 GTS 340 back in 1976 that still had it's original Dark Forest Green factory paint and the interior colors were the same. Paid 500 bucks for it and drove it home. 4 speed car that I kept until 1990 when I sold it for $5000 bucks. Should have held on to it!
