He never had a childhood and so he yearned for it as an adult. People misunderstood this. God bless and keep your beautiful soul Iconic Legendary Phenomenal King Michael Joseph Jackson!! May your name continue to be known this life and the next. I love you and you will live on and on for generations to come. May you be understood and find peace wherever you are 🙏🏽❤️
No he had a childhood. He just didn't get to do the things kids normally do when they're a child. That's the price you pay for the singing career. And that's what he chose. I'm not saying it was a wrong choice because they reached superstardom. Your only a child once for 12 yrs. U either use it or lose it. But we still have a child's ways even as u grow up. Only thing is when you grow up you have to take care of your responsibilities.
Michel faz muita falta. Saudades 😢😢😢😢😢 saudades 😢😢😢😢😢 saudades 😢 😢😢😢😢 "SEMPRE SERÁ,HOJE, AMANHÃ, SEMPRE SIMPLESMENTE THEBEST .. THEBEST... THEBEST..O MUNDO NAI VAI TER OUTRO IGUAL.. THEBEST... THEBEST... THEBEST
I say this all the time: MJ had the kind of fame that you DIDN’T want. It’s easy to say that he’s never had to deal with the real world, but 99% of people have never dealt with what he went through! Imagine being so famous that you can’t talk to regular people or walk down the street. That’s a huge price to pay
Agreed 110%. He was literally famous for 90% of his life. I can’t think of any singer or actor who was famous from that age and maintained it. Michael Jackson couldn’t even sneeze without it making headlines. Michael was truly one of a kind.
And let’s not forget the dingy, shady bars/clubs he had to perform in as a child that no kid should’ve seen let alone been in. He wasn’t just exposed to the real world, he was exposed to some of the worst of it at a very young and tender age.
That’s the year l saw them in concert on May 4th. The shows and their appearances changed after the release of Michael’s ‘Off The Wall’ album (to include songs from that album). I remember seeing that profile when it first aired in October 1979.
He had such a great vision about art and its goal: to find the core of humanity, that makes people feel togetherness and forget about their differences. And the most amazing thing is his music did achieve that goal: he brought people together through art like nobody before him. Before him only politicians who triggered hate could make people be on one side (against others). MJ did it without creatjng an enemy, it was all about love and humanity. What a wonderful experience.
He was a natural, always had it. It was an innate gift. He was influenced by James Brown & Jackie Wilson when he was a very young kid. His music & dancing were 'inseparable'. He learned from the best! We knew he was an AWESOME entertainer, even before MTV & White Pop radio stations would even play his music (and other Black music) on their stations. So he was 'our' little secret because of racial discrimination in the music industry. They categorized all Black music as 'R&B' thus blocking most of it from White Radio 'Pop' stations & White audiences for a long time (especially in the South). Barry Gordy, Motown executive, spoke of how they had to put pictures of White faces/couples on the album covers of Black artists back then just to get the albums into the Music stores in the South. So Michael's magnificent light was not allowed to shine as brightly as it should have for ALL the World to see at first. When MTV changed some of it's policies & allowed a very 'few' (at first) Black artist's music & videos to play it 'widened' Michael's exposure & appeal to many more people worldwide. The whole 'back-story' of how MTV was sort of 'cornered'/ forced into playing Michael's music videos is very interesting because at that time they had repeatedly absolutely refused to play Michael's music, or any other Black music for that matter. They (MTV) had 'blatantly' BANNED Black artists from their channel. I always thought back then, what a shame, their LOSS! But at any rate I said all of that just to say this -- Michael Jackson 'always' had the rhythm & the 'moves'. It's just that a large segment of the population was not 'aware'. But boy did he EXPLODE WORLDWIDE when all the 'blocks' that had been put in his way were removed, as it should have been. Love you Michael - RIP.
I remember I was on restriction for whatever dumb reason 🙄 and my mama said I couldn’t watch tv and took my 9 or 13 inch tv out of my room. WELL, she used to fall asleep with her tv on and whew, I had to be quiet to turn the dial on HER tv til I got to ABC. 20/20 was quite new then. I knew this story was coming on and restriction be damned! I was NOT going to miss it. I kept checking to see if it had come on yet and wouldn’t you know, it was the last story…and she woke up during the commercial- ARGH! I tell you what, the man upstairs took pity on me because poof, she fell back asleep as Hugh Downes was talking. I sat on the floor at the foot of her bed watching it. Silently. In total amazement. Trying to keep from screaming with excitement. I didn’t want to wake her up and get that “what are you doing in my room watching tv, you’re on restriction- smoke 🫤. Well, I got to see the story and mama didn’t wake up until the next morning- won’t he do it 🤭. Off the wall was my favorite MJ album at that time and still is today. I’m looking at this with adult eyes. In that interview, you can see the wheels turning. You actually can see it!! In two years (of this story) the world won’t be able to comprehend what was about to hit them. 🧤 ✨ 🐯 🧟♂️ No one… NO ONE..was ready ❤mjj
I think after his death I became a bigger fan. I have always been a Prince fan to my heart but not for one second do I believe that he would have ever hurt anyone’s child. At first I was like, did he really do it but I think his first mistake was not to fight the first charge and that would have set the tone of come for me and find out then he should have turned around and sued them for false accusations against him. But we could’ve, should’ve after the fact. This man is at peace now and all of his fans want and Can’t Stop Loving You and Prince did too! Rest easy to you both. 💜💜
The problem in Michael’s life was that his sexuality was in the closet. He was clearly gay and it’s such a shame that he couldn’t come out and enjoy the life he deserved.
I had to question the accusations too, but I'm confident Michael would never, ever harm a child. Too many people who knew him were sure of his pure hearted goodness. People want to believe the worst and they find it harder to believe someone could be that good. He helped so many children and that's his greatest legacy. 20 percent still goes to his chosen childrens charities.
@@badpuppy09 I also do not agree that Michael was gay. He has refuted this claim many times and spoke about it in his song Tabloid Junkie. However, Michael did have sex and loved women. There was porn infact a large repertoire ( You can even find a whole list of what was found if you’re curious) found in neverland. They even found a guide book on cli*oral stimulation. So this man knew what was up 😂 Suffice to say he was very misunderstood man but not because he was hard to understand but because of the media’s ignorance.
@@BsiobloomTito spoke about the gay rumors in an interview, when the issue was brought up. He basically said(and I’m paraphrasing) to fellas who suspected Michael was gay, leave your girl with him for a few hours and see what happens lol, she’ll be a totally different person lol. Tito said Michael was a ladies man, and nothing more.
Michael was the most adorable little kid and had perfect rythmn. I wish someone would have stepped in before his self destruction got so out of control and he turned Weird.
I still remember the first time I heard “Never Can Say Goodbye” on the radio and instantly fell in love with MJ. And later, all the great times dancing to his music from the late ‘70’s to early ‘80’s when disco was the thing! Thank you for sharing this interview & bringing back some wonderful memories 😊
Well to be fair America is the birth place of modern music. White and Black Americans both contributed to it's evolution in major ways. And yes a large significant contribution is born from Black Americans. Nothing else like it.
I mean I know it's a given that siblings will have similar speech inflections and mannerisms but I think for me it was most apparant when I heard both Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson speak. I also had a similar feeling when I heard Mariah Carey's sister speaking in an interview and became fully cognizant of Mariah's speech patterns.
Nope. Cosmetic facial surgery techniques 43 years ago were nowhere near as sophisticated as they are now & the vast majority of plastic surgeons in 1979 likely had no experience or very little experience doing surgeries on Black people & the healing processes can be different due to things like being more likely to have keloid (raised level) scarring. His later surgeries were to correct problems with the earlier ones & again - due to lack of experience w/cosmetic surgeries on people if color, the later surgeries were subpar- compared to what can be done today
"Michael's provocative flirtation undoes even the most elaborate security system" 😂 so true. If you've ever been walking down the street with Michael in Hollywood and seen his bodyguards literally catch fans flying through the air at him it's unforgettable.
Thanks. This is the first honest comment I'm reading here. MJ was 2 yrs older than me. Grew up enjoying his music. I doubt he enjoyed his wealth n fame minus his lost childhood. I got neither wealth nor fame, but I got to be a kid. He made millions happy, but was he happy?
If you were around when thriller had just come out you know that you haven't seen anyone like the artist known as Michael Jackson since and never will . I was 8 years old in 1984 👍
He gave so much pleasure to so many people while his soul was suffering. It's totally bad to expose a non-adult person to the world. The person will end up trapped by the power of all these gazes directed towards him.Michael Jackson was a very special being who got destroyed. First by his parents and then by the world. Such a huge tragedy!
Yes he was an empath. An Angel it seems. Yes famé took a toll and the evils of this money manipulated fake world But I think he was happy a lot and got to experience joys that few ever will.
@@bboiwilliam2066 I see what you mean but joy is a terribly subtle subject. Lots of people showed a very happy attitude a few hours before committing suicide. MJ had moments of joy, that's clear, but those moments weren't that significant, otherwise he would have had a life less fraught with scandals.
I never understood why he wanted to change his looks. Not sure what he thought was wrong with his face but he kept going till he looked scary. As far as his father...his intentions were good but his methods, harsh.
Damn you must have talked to all of the kids personally to know that they looked at him like a "Monster".....RIP and Thank you Joe! RIP and Thank you Michael!
@@winsbeyond8295 … ok? U thought u really said sum huh? lol don’t need to talk to them to know, it’s Documented everywhere and came out there own mouths but if that helps u sleep at night u got it 😭
We maybe thinks that his father was to hard but thanks to him they had later a beter life and he was around his kids!!!IOther fathers leave the family behind like trash and if you knows they were with 9kids!Kudos to the parents even it was not always nice. But that is life sometimes ❤
He looked nothing the same when he got older. I didn’t recognize him at all. His music though was really cool. Michael was so talented really. So sad what happened to him.
Some people take drugs to avoid the "real world" he made it a better place, if we all were in the real world that kind of magic would never happen R.I.P M.J.
MJ. Was asuperStar, that put his fans before himself, I saw him at Dodger Stadium.. and I saw it him at a stadium in door and the last5 min. There was an Earth quake that was scary. I have his last world tour I won the three cd colle action with his signature from Rick Dees. from Kiis radio from it signed by MJ. and never been open.
