I have these very speakers in black and connected to a Naim amp. They are just awesome and a real shame the manufacturer ceased making them. When I was buying them, the retailer hooked up different speakers to the amp I took with me, and the same CD was played across the range separately. At the time, these speakers were a step ahead. Not cheap but well worth the spend.
I have my heart set on finding a pair of these one day. I've owned Minstrels in the past, and always wanted to own a pair of these. I bet they're a treat and a half! Cheers!
I can't believe you posted this a year ago, and I'm just seeing it now. This is a pair of speakers I'd love to own. I've had the Minstrels from this era (same colour wrap, too), which I found to be stellar little performers with a big, bouncy, splashy, and fun sound. I think the doublets are exactly that and more, which is why I think they'd do wonders in my current room. Fingers crossed I find a pair one day.
