I remember the guys laughing at me when i bought my clip tool and they showed me the rag method. I never once used the tool from that day forward and the tool is long lost
I used a small flat blade and just pushed on1 of the legs until the clip was off. Back then I only did this once or twice a year. Didn't even know there was a tool for it.
@FluffyMexicanik ever seen the trick with the rag? I learned that in 2007, a real life "old head" taught me it. Again. The tool or the rag is old school not the pick.
@@jacobpoucher yupp know of that do we just dont carry rags in the shop, nothing but some cheap disposable towels worse than the blue rolls from the parts stores
@@FluffyMexicanik my point exactly. Some of us can't afford certain "tools" and make due with what we have. I've never had the right tool, always improvised. When you can't afford all the tools, you make your own. It's what's called "being a mechanic"
