As a lifelong horror movie fan, this franchise kicked off my love of slashers. For two years now I said I was going to do this tour and haven’t yet. You’ve inspired me. Huge thanks for making this video
Great tour, Jordan! I got a little story to tell. Around 20 years ago, I went to a horror convention, which was awesome, then on the way back down from my room, I pushed button for the elevator. The door opened and there was both of the guys that played Leatherface and Jason. I walked into the elevator and turned around. The doors closed. Nothing happened. BUT MAN i was geeking out, two famous horror movie killers standing behind me alone in that elevator. Course, I said hello, both were awesome fellows.
You definitely showed more of this tour than some of the other videos I have seen other people put out....not trying to throw shade at them nut I am very appreciative of how much you put into this video all the way around! Thank you 😊
This was a groundbreaking movie for it's time since it was one of the first slasher films in the wake of the original Halloween two years earlier. Great video as always Jordan, I actually recognized most of the cabins seen in the movie and amazingly they look pretty much the same 43 years later.
@@blizzardbaby yes there’s lots of history here in New Jersey… actually Jason’s last name is a town close by to where they filmed(vorhees, nj) also the town of haddonfield from “Halloween” is and actual town here as well.
@@blizzardbaby lol mines too! I remember watching it when they first aired it on NBC in 1980 lol I know I’m dating myself… also jaws traumatized me as well lol
How cool!! I didn't know you could tour Camp Crystal Lake! Great location video! Loved the Friday the 13th movies and experiencing #3 in 3D when I was a teenager, I was terrified! Thank you Jordan! You brought back some great memories!
That was awesome! I didn't know they still kept the location the same as the movie. There's a surprising amount of things that haven't changed after 42 years!
The convention is such a great thing for that area and the fans. I really hope between videos like yours and positive respectful tourism that the town makes efforts to preserve all the historical landmarks just the way they were back then. Thanks for sharing!! ♥️☀️🚲
The convention is great for the town, I just don't really enjoy them personally for vlogging because they are so crowded.. thats why I took the tour the following weekend.. I learned my lesson tye weekend scott michaels and I went to do the Night of the Living Dead amd it was the convention. Everywhere we went was loaded with people and lots of talking in the background
This was so good!!! I can’t believe it’s all still there. Boy, that was the first Slasher movie I ever saw. Thanks for this one. You never Disappoint us your loyal Lion hearts ♥️
WOW! What a memory booster. I saw this at a drive-in theater in the summer of 1980; I was 12 years old. The serene canoe scene gone wrong at the end gave me nightmares for quite awhile.
The water bubbling up in the lake was creepy, but my favorite part. 😳😁 Very cool getting to see all of this after all these years. Thank you Jordan for sharing this with us. 👍
This footage is exactly what a new movie needs, the original camp story of young Jason BEFORE he drowns, I wish they would go into the history of Pam as the cook at the camp and Jason interacting with kids, Jason's family life and Steve's attempt to open the camp but it needs to be filmed at this camp, Camp Nobebosco
Enjoyed seeing all the Camp Crystal Lake Friday the 13th locations. Great job as always! 1 of my favorite slasher movies. Even the recreations were spot on.
Hi Jordan, oh, I do love a good horror, even when I was a kid I did. I loved all these films even though they got a bit repetitive towards the end of them. It's great that you get to go in so many of the locations. What a brilliant tour, one of the best tour's I've seen. It would be great to do one at night. Great vlog Jordan.
Omgosh loved watching this video....so glad you were able to visit the camp! I had the time of my life back in the 80's and will always miss those days! Love Friday the 13th movies too!
I agree 💯 alot of great memories.exept the first time I saw this movie an my parents wanted to take us camping .oh my lordy This was a great vlog Jordan as always
This is so cool. Amazing how much they kept things the same so many years later. This is making me want to watch the movie again lol Thanks so for doing this one! Keep on being you! Love to Jah! 🦴🐾❤️
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ great ! You are such a delight and love your videos. My sons old girlfriend lived in this town, it was interesting when we watched the movie together and she pointed things out. YOU did a wonderful job. So glad I found you again, I am a fan for life.
Thanks for the video tour of the set of Camp Crystal Lake. I really enjoyed seeing how it has been preserved so well that you can still see where the filming locations were. Great video! Now I have to go dig the movie out of the back of the video cabinet and watch it again! You also pointed out that Kevin Bacon was in the movie and I didn't know that, thanks again and keep up the good videos!
Another phenomenal vlog Jordan, luved the tour, luved the location match-ups just everything and all content in this vlog 🤌👌,I bet I can guess what the costume of choice is on Halloween night round town, Hmm🤔haha. Apparently there's a 2022 new Friday 13th movie coming out, not sure if a remake or completely new story line but can't wait for it to be released either way 😀 .keep these vlogs coming, pretty please with a cherry on top, 🍒haha.
Wow Jordan talk about feelings sensations that have not been there for many years since the first time I watched the movie! It is amazing how everything can come back so crystal clear of what it was like the first time you watched it to what it is now goosebumps all over and what a thriller thanks Jordan for what you do
I was born on the 13th so each time my birthday falls on a Friday it's always a good excuse for a Friday the 13th a thon :) Awesome vlog about an awesome movie, thanks for this one Jordan, really enjoyed it 👍
I have been dying to go on one of these tours. I hope they keep it going so I can make It to the east coast one day. My wife actually bought me a pen made from some of the wood from the original swim docks a couple Christmases ago. I have been obsessed with this franchise since I was probably 7 years old.
Good tour mate, love the original Friday the 13th and I even remember watching it's scary theatrical trailer on Saturday mornings back in 1980. Yeah I'm that old lol.
Omg this was such a awesome video, Jordan, and for them to maintaining it so we can enjoy it, is so neat thank you for taking us along,, so we can enjoy this great horror movie set,,,,
Jordan, I grew up in New Jersey, so I am very familiar with where Blairstown is. Thank you for this vlog! I really enjoyed seeing all the props from the movie and the cabins at the lake, thank you for the tour.
WOW! Very cool. Thank you for taking me on your tour. It was fun and very interesting! It’s hard to believe so many years have passed since the movie was released.
It took me till I was in my 20s to actually watch Friday the 13h. I was at the movie when it was in theaters. My mom was pregnant with me and dad loved horror movies. Well the part where Jason turns the boat over at the end made mom scream and dad thought she was going into labor with me. Needless to say we all had ptsd from Friday The 13th. It's now one of my favorite franchises. I got to meet Kane Hodder a few yeaars ago he was a cool dude.
Ralph said Annie would never come back from the camp. Annie never even made it to the camp! If that's not a giant WTF, I don't know what is! At least wait till she gets there, Pam! 🤪 It's interesting, you don't really see Harry Crosby anymore or Mark Nelson. It'd be cool if one or both of them showed up to an event. I'm just glad that the town is celebrating the film and the culture of the fans because for a while in the 80s, it seemed like not many people cared. These movies were looked at by a lot of people as old news and it was on to other things. But I cared and a lot of other people did too. Thank you, Jordan!
I enjoy how these small towns embrace these movies and are able to do tours and show filming locations for the fans . These locations are gorgeous. Thanks Jordan , I can't wait for your to return to the museum in the future.🤗💛👍
They said before the internet they didn't want associated with the film, but once the internet came around, amd people found out where the camp was, they were having a bunch of trespassing.. they figured it made more sense to charge for tours and let the money go toward the camp upkeep instead..
@@DazewithJordantheLion damn man now I wanna go ...but the cancer surgery comes first or my older brother would absolutely kill me and no his names not jason...lol
loved the video Jordan i really enjoyed it the tour of Crystal lake, this was so fun I felt like i was there on tour with you and by the way you were rockin that Phillies Hat, thank you for everything you do.
Very Cool Vlog great childhood memories of seeing all Friday 13th movies with my brothers & sisters @ Meridian Quad Theaters San Jose,Ca sadly no longer there Thanks again Jordan Safe Travels for you & Jah
I remember going to see this movie with my sister in 1980, it was either this movie, or The Shining, we chose Friday The 13th, but personally I liked The Shining better
My fave movie! I'm a huge horror/slasher fan. My dad took me to see this when I was like 8! LOL I fell in love... This is definitely on my bucket list of places to go! Thanks Jordan!👍🖤💜😁
I lived in Blairstown during the filming of this movie. I went to Blair Academy and my English teacher's dog was the one at the gas pump in the movie. That was a big deal for us. The town has not changed much at all.
quite the ride down memory lane, my friend’s parents had Super Channel Pay TV when it was an analog box device with big ass floor model tv and VCRs the size of microwave oven LOL, we watched Friday the 13th that summer scared the bijabbers out of me 👻 Jordan awesome tour vlog of Crystal Lake 👍🏻🤩
I have never seen the movie because The Exorcist did me in on horror films. I couldn’t even imagine going to this camp as a kid! Do they take down the pictures when they open it for the season? Interesting video, Jordan! 😳😨😱
I was also reading the book at the same time the movie came out…I never finished it! It was so gross! and what I saw of the movie were short promotional clips. I was going to say I don’t know what ‘possessed’ me to read the book…but I slept with the light on for what seemed like forever!
When I watch new tour videos like this (for a fan who hasn't been there yet) it feels like extended footage of the tour as I've been watching these tours on YT for a few years now, before the tours started all you would find is people sneaking into the camp during the winter ha
My great grandmother house was near where the movie was being filmed my mom would always be at my great grandmothers house as a little girl and remembers them shooting the movie
Very well done" I am a huge fan of those horror movies, back in the 1980´s. You have made a really great presentation and tour, back on the fílming locations. Must say, I didi´not know about that first murders, that couple and the guy, belonging to the camera crew. Must also say, all your location tours are great. You are really doiing a great job. Keep up the good work! Very´interesting!
madgoali73 ehhh I liked the original bridge Annie crosses at the beginning of the movie when she's walking through the village better...aestheically more pleasing to look at IMHO...
