Loved the retro feel of this video. The Harlekin BBS Centercaps are so damn cool! I've been looking for months for a set of CitiSport rims, but now after I've heard all of this, I may go for an aftermarket rim, which is more customizable. Love your collection.
I totally understand why it's so important for wheels to be original. When I started my project car, I searched high and low for original AMG Monoblock Aero II wheels and I eventually found a set in Cape Town. I didn't want to put anything else on the car because my mind was set on those. I eventually found a second set but of super rare original staggered ones I don't plan on ever selling them.
i never will understand why people redrill genuine bbs rs, that hurt my heart 🥺.. thanks for the entertaining video, cheers from another bbs rs maniac ✌🏻
Great passion. Nice video. They do be shoes. I am really into those magnesium compo motive race wheels. Like turbofans or something. I found this video because i was trying to find out what I could about turbo fans, or well essentially those. I also really like what Street Bandito has done with the 280s with carbon fiber turbo fans.
Love your collection especially the compomotive ones. Lately i happen to own 4 compomotive VS1580 and after watching you videos I was wondering if u can help me find center cabs for my wheels. Thanks and again great collection
Wheels wheels and more wheels. Excellent stuff. Next time you get a chance come to Australia and check out the wheels here. Simmons, Neales, ROH, CSA (makers of the famous "Bathurst Globes"), Dragway, and many more. There's a huge JDM following here too, so you'll find all that stuff as well. And like every enthusiast scene, there's learning which rims go best with which car. Got a VL Commodore? Gotta be the steelies. XY Falcon? Bathurst Globes. Or the incomparable Simmons that goes with anything. Beware though - you'll need another shelf for your wall once you see what's here. At the very least you need a set of Bathurst Globes. And a set of Simmons. Always thought the tried and trusted V5s were hard to beat, but you do you.
What a top collection bro still missing one of South Africa’s 🇿🇦 greats wheel which I’m sure you don’t get anywhere else known as the velocity wheel you must add that to your collection please 😎😎😎😝🤙
Wheels make or break the car. So this is important! You got a nice collection! Especially these brasilian rims do look nice. The Nissan wheel, I didn't know that.... I also appreciate the knowledge on customising. Will talk to the TÜV :)
Jamie brings up a fun subject. Best wheels you've found at a salvage yard?! Me; 16x8 5x112 2 piece 32 hole Gotti J55C 16x8 5x112 Centra-31's 16x7 5x112 Centra 31 reps 15x7 5x100 BBS RD 15x6 4x100 OZ Starlight 17x7.5 5x112 BBS RC 326
I see those original fifteen52 RML Snowflakes. My boy Pat has those on his Scirocco II from one of the first runs they made of those with the black accents.
Hey Jamie I love your videos and would like to know how do I get hold of the mk5 gti bumper and rear defuser like yours simply love it Seraaj here messaging from Cape Town out in South Africa
Hm .... I like wheels I think the RS bbs are top range too ... I am looking to buy 3or 2 piece , the thing is I can get them kinda cheap but wanted something that will keep value or grow value ,what should I look for brands? Good looks ? Country of manufacture ?
You can this set in a lot of places. Will cost 200-300 i guess. And those conversionsets will make your wheel come out 25mm or more. Keep that in mind..
@@Tom_pr I'm not talking about spacers mate. His wheels have a new pcb re-drilled, probably welded also. That is why i need info so I can keep the offset.
As the official "Turbo Wheels Own You" guy... I approve of this video. I also apologize for letting the thread go to shit, but hosting has changed a lot in 21 years :D forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?4945509-Turbo-Wheels-Own-You-Version-2
I love weird wheels, rare wheels l hate being a sheep and following the heard. I loved ats cups before they were done to death. Next time your in the UK have a look at image split rims they have been making 2 and 3 piece for years all made to order. If you fancy a nice set of 15s that are 4x100 with a motorsport vibe have a look a phase one Renault clio 16v wheels very like compos images.app.goo.gl/vGQpoEW4ERrskYV27 or if your brave try France for Renault alpine wheels
