Rarran is not sure about this new Hearthstone Expansion.... 

Sherriff Barrelbrim would've been the perfect free legendary over the Thunderbringer. He exudes the theme, is kinda like renethal where health matters, and seems really interesting. Huge missed opportunity.

My only problem with the Highlander focus is that Plague DK hard-counters most of them

Was excited for the return of Highlander but then I remembered that Plague DK exists and how popular that deck is. You have to wait for your opponent to play all of their plague generation cards, hope they don’t discover more, and then play steamcleaner if you want any chance of your highlander cards working.

Anti-Highlander cards are so boring and unfun. Why make a keystone feature of your expansion the resurgence of Highlander just to say "hey here's some silver bullets" cards that are put in your deck from your opponent shouldn't count against Highlander. Plague DK is just a deck every Highlander scoops to, it's not fun.

Hearthstone players: The powercreep in the game is so crazy Blizzard needs to do something Blizzard releasing yet another "weak" expansion to make the game a bit more enjoyable Heartstone players: The expansion is so weak, why would they print shit cards like this.

I disagree with his take about the mage card. The card is basically marrow manipulator (one of frost dks best cards) with an easier condition to fulfill and it gives you an extra card on top of that with the only downside being that its one stat lower in attack and health.

on new elise, technically, with titans and colossal you can get a lot of value out of a 4/4, but seems odd... is polkelt still going to be in rotation? maybe you can gaurentee pull some 6/7 drops or something with good effects idk

The Rogue Thunderbringer deck is kinda nutty

the one thing that scares me about Elise is the wild format: you make a deck with only 2 minions, Elise and the card that if you kill all four or the minions you destroy the enemy hero, plus switcheroo. it would be a disaster considering the amount of healing that priest can pull off

I actually would like to have full rotation of such expansions to crack power lvl down

I wonder how the Jail works with Colossals. if you put in Jail a Colossal, will it summon new appandages when awakened or not?

I think the problem of quickdraw is the tilt factor of knowing your opponent just top decked that solution and it was purely down to luck and not a real outplay

Sheriff is probably good im Warlock. You do damsge to yourself for aggro and if they play an answer on board you can use Sheriff to get rid of it.

Gattlesnake should also gain +1 attack for each bullet he loads. He'd be pretty alright at that point :)

The wording on Howdyfin is incredibly scary as it doesnt say anything about "at the start/end of a turn" meaning by wording alone you play this on 3 then get a murloc, play that murloc and you will get another then another and so on. Blizz is either cracked or they need to reword it

I do love the theme of this expansion!

I feel like their new philosophy is "Make a bunch of weak cards and make a bunch of OP cards, then nerf the OP cards and buff the weak cards" So they can milk balance patches as content. I don't mind it personally. But something like Gattlesnake just reeks of future buff (cause ANY of the numbers on that cards could be increased, and it'd be decent)

How about a highlander hunter with some beast duplicates, hunter has so much ways to tutor beast (like the new 2 mana 1/2) that it is possible to highlander with a lot of good beasts

Teldurin is great in Highlander. Mayne not THE best Payoff card, but every Highlander Hunter will play it. Also i like the facr that they dont powercreep even harder. Some cards are decent, and thats fair enough. Firearm, Chaingang, Cow-thrower, Cow stealer, and Quickdraw in general seems good to me. Considering how few cards we have seen so far, its strong enough. Cant complain.

I wish they gave us Sherrif so we could try the sif play.

Azerite Chain Gang being both a reference and direct power creep of Saronite Chain Gang leads me to believe that a buff of the original is coming in the near future. After all, if we look at the trend of them buffing old cards Knights of the Frozen Throne *should* be next.

I actually liked Titans expansion alot. Card design felt great to me. Theme was top of the line. And sure it got samey as all expansion does in the end but i have had alot of fun with many different decks. Azerite is just a Trigger point for me. BFA ptsd for real for real. To early to judge some might say but i judge the hell out of it already.

Complaining about cards not powercreeping is funny considering how much you guys talk about not liking the constant creep， I get that card should be strong, and there are weak cards, but a little lower power, as long as the right balances are made which is a big if, could be really nice to slow it all down. Def won’t happen but interesting. I do think it funny how people complain about creep, and then when cards or characters don’t get creeped they complain. I don’t like the nature of that but it makes sense, and everyone does it, but I would like it to be seen more.

It feels really goofy. And hearthstone has been modeled after the Warcraft universe, but it’s followed pretty closely along with wows expansions. But this feels like totally out of left field. First music now cowboys. It doesn’t feel natural. It doesn’t feel like hearthstone.

I dont see a reason to play Theldurin when Prison Breaker fits current hunter so well.

Elise looks awful, like the meta is so awful nothing you'll get will be enough to defend yourself after getting too much damage

They should have done quests or hero cards instead of highlander as the gimmick

I know it's Rarran competetive side analysing these, but man, it's so sad that Bounty Board is considered too slow of a card... I cannot play hearthstone when it's like that... The game is not enjoyable in this state to a lot of players.

I personally think that this expansion is too weak and highlander is too slow of an archetype for the current standard pool, most of the decks end the game at at around turn 5 due to undead priest and shaman (minus warlock, dk and my shitty mill druid) ; There is also the fact that they have to contend with titans that are literally pay to win cards, they can clear the enemy board and the effects that they have are so strong that even if your opponent plays perfectly he can still lose hard just because of them (some of those effects are persistent like warlocks)

Theme is nice but the cards and new effects... man it's so bland.. It's like they intentionally wanted to slow the power creep or something..
