How will Demonbolt never be good? It has a full 2 years to be fucking amazing. And once we lose Witchwood and Demonbolt, Warlock won't NEED Demonbolt because Zoolock will once again be top zoo class.
*WELL MET, KRIPPARRIAN. YOU HAVE DONE WELL, RUNNING INFORMATION FOR THE CULT SO QUICKLY AND ARTICULATED. I GRANT YOU A SMALL TOKEN OF GRATITUDE, A GOLDEN LEGENDARY IN YOUR NEXT MASS PACK OPENING. MAY IT BE ONE YOU DESIRE.*
Mecha'thun my lord, is there a chance i will find my first golden legendary from a pack? Of course, it wouldn’t be better than you, my first golden legendary, even though i crafted you, but i would really appreciate it, my lord.
The fact that you can just play Halazzi and complete the hunter quest with that one card is very interesting though. I wonder if someone will be able to think of a good deck that just plays Halazzi, hunter quest, and then just a normal hunter deck. You could even mulligan the quest away and play it later for fatigue.
Timmothy Galvan I think it’s an ok card and the ability is definitely strong but I also feel like it could be a little bit stronger /: I don’t think quest hunter would make the cut even with this. Definitely not the weakest loa though. Druids for sure got the short end of the stick this expansion
@@cameroncardozaster I think (my opinion) priest got the worst Loa in terms of synergy. There are a lot of cards that synergizes with Gonk put for Bwonsamdi there is only the spirit. You have to work to make Bwonsamdi synergies. Stat wise, I would say Akali/Gral du too their cost. In terms of pre-existing deck, yeah Gonk is the weakest because their isn't really any existing Druid archetype that supports what Gonk wants to do.
Moshogg enfrocer is meant to be comboed with oakheart. Its not as bad when you compare it to sleepy dragon, so it can find its spot in taunt druid as it helps to stabilize before using hadronox as a finisher.
That dev who streamed with kibbler looked like he was playing hs for the first time. Kibler *does a shitty play* Dev "i must say, kibler you are a very skilled player"
Auchenai Phantasm is a 5 star card, it will see place it almost every control priest deck Combo it with circle of healing and it shuts down agro hard Combo it with the New card regenerate and it's a high tempo combo It's also better than auchenai soulpriest because it is cheaper, and you typically only want the effect for that specific turn - soulpriest could back fire if it sticks around
Arena Treasure Chest has a square theme. 4 mana 4 health. However If I where to make a card like this id push the theme further. Deathrattle: Both players draw 4 cards. If we want to go even further it can also heal both players by 4 and give 4 mana crystals to both players. But that would just make this card a legendary level.
For Dozing Marksman, you could play cards like Overlord's Whip, the new warrior weapon, or Animated Berserker. Both are fairly weak cards outside of this combo though, so I don't really think it makes Marksman worth playing those.
26:20 talking about the scarab egg reminds me of the jeweled scarad, who was a 1/1 scarab. I know it is not the scarab they're talking about, but it could be a nice new card: a card that summon a minion with a good battlecry, but you would need to bump it back into your hand to be able to trigger it.
@@dr3adfulr3aper44 makes more sense because he deals with and makes mech, something warrior is known to use. beside its not like he really tied to a actual class like zulgin
OK, Serrated Tooth is a 1-cost mana card that is better than the hero power and has a deathrattle effect that can be activated for 2 mana at any point in the game. It's similar to Rocket Boots from the warrior class and at times even better, depending on the situation because that rush aspect can be free sometimes. So, at the very least it's a pretty good arena card.
Serrated tooth Is so good for Rogue if your playing with auctioneer and spooders and you draw Them while your enemie has a big Bord you just draw 2 or 3 spooders and give Them Rush.. Thats what rogue needed
Tom McGraw it effectively counts as a 2 and 3 health minion. Not bad, but I don’t think it outshines the 2 mana 1/1 divine shield minion, which does the same thing for defile, except better
Kripp doesn't realize how insane Demon Bolt really is even in Control Warlock. Warlocks are already running a 6 mana Assassinate via Siphon Soul. With Voidlords and Guldan it's super super easy to stick at least 3 minions on the board and make this way cheaper, especially after your guldan turn.
Blizzard have done well in this expansion. Theres so many archtypes being revived or being created, unlike Boomsday where everything surrounded the whole Mech theme. I think the next couple of months is gunna be very interesting.
Hey do you think playing the hallazi will be good with spirit of the lynx and I know it wasn’t good in Druid since it didn’t have a card like hallazi You could play it across two turns that may not match up well when your playing hunter but you might not need all the lynx
25:13 Unless im misunderstanding what the card does, this is some of the worst analysis of a card i've ever seen. An ability-less 4 mana 3/5 by itself simply cannot be a one star card, and against aggro decks they will absolutely be forced to trade as fast as possible if they dont wanna lose a card every turn for almost free. By turn 4, most cards are gonna be 2/3's and 3/2's. Give it a single hp-buff like hidden power shield and it should be a nightmare for aggro decks to remove. Obviously the card is heavily matchup dependent, but aggro is like 40% of the latter anyway probably. It won't make it to standard because that's mostly reserve for the best of the best, but i cannot fathom how he can say it's at least not a 2-star and should be a 3 star.
Hey kripp Do you think odd warrior is still going to be played since now there is war master voone and you were talking about a new dragon in odd warrior
the arena chest 0/4 isn't that bad if you have some trigger deathrattle effect cards though, is it? You can trigger the draw 2 cards effect several times then
when the next rotation cycle comes i'd like a little review of cards that might get better or what might change now that some cards rotate out. like you said with demonbolt, 4 1/2 stars because odd rogue/paladin are better zoo but once baku/genn rotate out it might become OP in zoolock.
I think youre underrating gurubashi offering, if you go first and play this its pretty much guaranteed to go off. If it didint go off it means the opponent used some spell and theres not a whole lot of spells youd be willing to use to kill this on turn 1. A priest wouldnt want to use smite, because if they run smite they are a combo deck, but if they dont you gain 8 armor. A shaman using lightingbolt will overload the next turn. A rogue backstabing, maybe, but backstab is a pretty good combo enabler and youd be giving that up. A mage frostbolt? He would have to coin that, definitely not worth it. So if you play a deck that strongly synergizes with armor and has loads of removal maybe? For example if a deck like golden monkey fat warrior surfaces again where you can turn your surplus of removals and early game cards into random legendaries in the lategame once your opponent runs out of stuff this could maybe be worth putting in?
Hard to compare MTG to HS, but in modern I play a mardu deck around spirits and humans that runs Blood Artist and Cartel Aristocrat and Falkenrath Aristocrat. Swarm the board and chip damage to them and then play blood artist and sac my own board to burn them for 10 damage or more. So I'm looking forward to the warlock minion, i know 2 mana vs 7 or w/e it costs is a big difference but I still think it will work as a finisher. Pushing through a taunt and turning it into burn is useful I think. We'll See.
You could play dozing marksman in an enrage style warrior deck. Theres a 1 mana 1/3 minion for warrior that deals 1 damage to a minion whenever you play 1. Theres also the new warrior weapon which is a 1 or 2 mana 1/3 with the same effect if I'm not mistaken... because it's a weapon it increases the consistency of triggering enrage. Even more interesting, theres that classic card... something swordsmith - when hes enraged your weapon gets +2 attack... so you could trigger that off the weapon itself. I dunno, I just want a self damage style of warrior to be good... maybe try it in wild
Balloon Baffon has been written off a little fast in my opinion, small spells turns out have great synergies with auctioneer, combo, perhaps the spell priest being pushed with the priest weapon
It’s possible someone else has said it, but the 3/3 minion that gives your opponent a coin is possibly viable for milling an opponent. It’s still not a good card, but it has more going on then Kripp gave credit.
Doesn't Demonbolt rotate out with Genn and Baku though? They came out this year with Witchwood. Therefore will rotate with Boomsday and Rastakhan in just over a year..
If they want Druid to have any chance of being good at killing things with your hero they need a Druid legendary with some requirement to fill that upgrades your hero power at the start of the game like Baku.
About the 2-cost cards that you mentioned were not good enough to use over Keleseth; even decks don't run Keleseth. So these cards are good enough for even paladin and even shaman.
25:13 How much better would these sorta cards be if they healed at the start of the opponent's turn? Then you could trade and it'd heal right back up. Otherwise it's most likely not going to survive battles, first your attack and then the opponent's attack(s). And your opponent is never going to just throw random damage away on it without killing it outright.
Kripp, if you get gurubashi offering turn 1, there aren't many classes that can immediately deal 2 damage, especially if you go first, so I reckon it'll turn out pretty good
Gurubashi Offering, Play on Turn 1, Gain 8 Armor basicly not much your opponant can do on Turn 1 going second or even if he didnt get to play anything on turn 1 and you went second and played it on Turn 1, However Outside of that i dont see a huge problem for it outside of someone wasting a remove on it instead of something more powerful or allready having a minion or something out on the board or a AoE clear or something like that.
So far, I’m really excited for this expansion. A lot of good cards for the classes I enjoy in a non cancer way. Plus nothing too annoying in general, especially to the meta decks that are currently strong out there. I’m pretty optimistic on this one
The hunter Loa (the Lynx that fills your hand with cats). Its basicly a 6 mana card, sincs you have to play a cat the same turn to not overdraw. 5 mana is bad you say? 6 is even worse
I think you miss some gurubashi offering power, its to be used a little like doomsayer on key turns where the other player has a lot to do, it only costs 1 so if they spend more destroying it then its a win, and if you get the armour also a win. Still not an amazing card but I think its viable
rumbletusk shaker is gonna be pretty good i think. imagine playing aggro, you play a 1,2 and 3 drop and on 4 you drop rumbletusk shaker, seems pretty good to me, everybody played shreder back in the day its kind of the same just not as op.
Stolen steel totally takes my hunter card idea (which woulda been called “mind if I roll need” calling back to when hunters in WoW just took every weapon they could get their hands on) and gives it to rogues :(
The development team wad like : "ok what do we do in this? Who do we buff -Zoo warlock? -A degenerate agro deck that is already competitive? HELL YEAH"
Arena treasure chest has potential in deathrattle rogue. THe threat of Necrium Vial will make enemies kill it losing face damage and giving you 2 cards.
