It's almost impossible to judge moves in past Mortal Kombat games with how badly X spoiled us with its gore & brutality

After going back to MK9 from MKX, the X-rays seem tamer than they used to. Most of the X-rays in MKX have 3 parts that just get more brutal, while these are mostly 2-part X-rays that show attacks that are generally recoverable from (with 6-10 weeks of being in a cast). Mileena's X-ray is a personal favorite with that MK2 fatality snuck in there (and her being my main).

For some reason, I prefer the style of X-Rays in MK9 since there’s no excessive shattering of bones flying all over the place, instead it feels more contained and realistic in a sense. It all feels a bit more painful too. I dunno, I like this a whole lot more

Honestly kabal has to have one of the best x-rays in this game in my opinion.

Sonya's X-Ray is one of the best gameplay-wise, since a lot of people don't block the whole combo sequence in the beginning. It's the same thing that often happens with people fighting against Cassie in MKX, who also have combo as an X-Ray start up. Also, part of her X-Ray is the reference to her special move from MK3 and MK4. Some of my favorite X-Rays in MK9 are probably Sektor's and Cyrax's. I LOVE sound when Sektor charges thruster in his hand and Cyrax X-Ray just looks cool.

I like the video, although I would say that for rating it always helps having a criteria, something like to rate them we base them on how good they look, how much gore they have and how true to the character they are.

I like how most characters do ~30% and jax and kano do the most at 42% for the xray, Sonya has the most hits at 11

@Max you gotta remember that XRays were never done before this game in any MK Game. Seeing them today is entirely different then when the game first released. So for example that first one with scorpion might be a 5/10 today because its already been seen probably hundreds of time and MKX improved on the XRay attacks but back then that could have easily been a 7.5 - 8.0 When things age and are seen constantly they start to lose their original impact.

After Tekken 7 and SoulCal 6 and $mash Ult; counter attacks, final attacks trades, etc. MK is gonna need those Xray integrations that Max was talking about to give MK hits more impact like other games

In MKX I didn’t like how the bones vibrated but in this game the impact was instantaneous and I like that
