I’m sorry for the random silence at 3:58! Don’t know what quite happened there 😅 also if you’re a skipper, I got you, the time stamps are in the description box 😉 also please tell me..how do you guys feel about background music? Do you like videos with background music better or does it depend on the video? The last two videos I uploaded have been without and I’m curious to know your thoughts!
Make sure to check ingredients & do your research… My Yuka app also said the covergirl skin milk was rated 22/100. Because it includes bad ingredients such as cyclopentasiloxane (silicone). And like most makeup & skincare phenoxyethanol (like a paraben) and both have been linked to hormone/fertility issues (endocrine disruptors).
Sen may be discontinued or out of business. Their website doesn’t work and their Instagram hasn’t been active since 2021. So disappointed, I really wanted to try it!
I do have the Ilia True Serum Skin foundation and I love it. Everyone says I look really healthy when I use it. It is pretty hard to find a foundation that makes you look alive when your skin is so fair lol.
Girl, if my skin was as flawless and gorgeous as yours I probably wouldn't even wear Foundation. I hope someday my skin can clear up and look as beautiful as yours does! I love your review on the products! Keep up the great work.
Aw thank you so much! But trust me, my skin doesn't always look like that, I get dermatitis on the regular. I'm just foundation obsessed, always been that way haha. 😅Thanks for the love and support!
LOVED the intro and editing on this vid. You're killing it! I also really appreciate time stamps so thanks for that. I'm definitely interested in the Ilia skin tint. :)
Okay LOVING THE DEWY FINISH of the ilia and I like that it includes SPF 👌👌👌 also love the honest opinions and how you show exactly how much coverage there will be for each.
I've been trying to 'clean'up my beauty routine and love learning new products to try. What brushes are you using to apply? I love the double end, seems way less wasteful.
Aw yay, hope my video was helpful then! 😊 In this video I was using the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Complexion Brush. I really like it because it's extremely soft and yes double ended which is great for concealer--I just added the link in my description box✨
Omg you're welcome! Glad this was helpful. The sen is great when you're looking for a natural looking fuller coverage. Kosas is amazing for everyday and if you're combo/oily it'll give you a dewy glow 🙌💞
I have the milk makeup one and I like it, I also have dry patches on my cheek (because of retinol). I find it works better when I blend it with my fingers, maybe that's why? It also sheer out the coverage. But I always use it on top of a heavy duty moisturiser, so that could be another factor on why it works for me. But hey, it's makeup, it works on some people and doesn't on some others, no hard feelings :D I would also love to hear your thought on some of the Hourglass makeup. I believe they're cruelty free and vegan? Anyway, don't know why I always rambled but I love your vids. It's always very clear and informative :)
I'm so glad it works for you! It's on sale right now at Sephora so if you love it, definitely a good time to grab it. So interesting how skin and texture can react so differently--I'll definitely try your moisturizer and blending it in with my fingers tip! Ooh yes hourglass is both vegan and cruelty free. I own several of their products so I'd be happy to do a review. Omg feel free to ramble, I love chatting to you all in the comments--thank you so much for watching! 💞🥰
With their being no real defintiion of clean it's hard to say. Some brands that say they're clean are silicone and fragrance free while others are not. I went by the Sephora label that has them listed as clean 😊
So. I never wore makeup but I am 52 now and want a stand alone foundation that's clean and spf free (just my preference). You sold me on the Kosas and also the Sen. Unfortunately the both seem to be defunct. Of course. Just my luck.
This was very helpful, thanks 😊 I noticed the same about the dry patches with the Kosas Tinted Face Oil. But I love it for the ‚No makeup makeup look‘, it‘s buildable and so leight 🤩 I use a Aloe Vera or an other serum , then a clean oil based sunscreen and above a cream without silicons or my holy grail, the 100% Pure Mattifying Primer. This primer works perfectly in the warmer months in the t-zone on my combination skin. 100% Pure has a Luminous Primer, too and both primers are Aloe Vera and oil based, so they work perfect under the Kosas. 100% pure is a great green brand for all sorts of makeup products by the way 😉
I’m still on the search for truly clean products. The ones you mentioned still have Titanium Dioxide and other non negotiables, which is a deal breaker to me. 😢 Please include a disclaimer about these ingredients in your future videos as otherwise, your post would be misleading and only partially true. As a consumer, we look to other who’ve done research for advice and direction and seems like most everyone on RU-vid is slightly greenwashing. 😮
Aweome vidoe!! This was super helpful thank you. I'm keen to try the Sen Organics one after your comment :) I use RMS and really love it. I have dry to normal skin and find that it sits really nice on my skin and gives great coverage. I didn't know about their response to the BLM movement though... that's a real bummer! Another great clean foundation is Ere Perez oat milk. I find it really good in warmer weather. I've tried the Ilia True Serum but didn't like how it looked on my skin and I reacted to some ingredients in it. We all have our different preferences but still really appreciate this video! :) X
Awe thank you! Yes I've heard some people react to something in the Ilia products, not sure the ingredient but at Sephora I had some clients report the same thing. I know, bummer about the RMS response. I don't believe in "cancelling" brands but I feel like it's important to call them out so they can step up and take responsibility. Thanks for the recommendation! I've heard a lot about the Ere Perez one! I'll have to test it out and report back ✨Let me know if you end up trying Sen! It's one of my favorites 😊
@@sarahpalmyra oh good to know I'm not the only one reg Ilia 😊 yes totally agree with you, they should be called out on it and I hope they will educate themselves and provide a better response. Yay hopefully you can get hold of a tester. Yes will do for sure hun. ❤️
Covergirl looked awful on me too! I tried it when it first came out so excited but it smells like potato chips and isn’t smooth (?) looking to get Ilia / Kosas soon
I really enjoyed this review! Base products are my absolute favorite makeup product bc i grew up super boring. The RMS un-cover-up is my favorite; I always come back to it, no matter what else I end up trying out. I've gone through 4 or 5 pots of it by now. I really want to get the Ilia skin tint but I haven't figured out what my color is, which is frustrating. I was on the Glossier train back when they came out and i've wanted something to replace their skin tint (which I don't use anymore but miss) for years and the Kosas oil... ain't it lmao. Have you ever tried the Kjaer Weis? I find it a little dry so I need a decent amount of skin prep before I use it, but imo it makes the best spot concealer. Or it did - I actually used it up and have been too lazy to repurchase because it's expensive.
Awe thank you! 💞I've been tempted to try the Kjaer Weis but was put off by the price lol--although I imagine that if it's a good spot concealer then it would be worth the money. I'd say the Ilia is similar to the glossier in finish but with more coverage and SPF. It's also dewier. The RMS does have a lovely finish! I didn't like the stickiness but I definitely agree. If I end up trying the Kjaer Weis I will update. I have so many foundations I may end up making a part 2! 😊
I just figured out I am olive too! Fair olive...its so hard to find the right shade. The only foundation that really matches me is revelon buff150 in the colorstay but unfortunately I am now allergic to the strong scent and they arent very clean. I might try the Sen, but you might be a warmer olive than me?
I have a question, How are they clean products when they do contain parabens, ammonium and other stuff? I have done my ingredients research and i do not put anything on my Skin that does contain controversial or not so good products that could be potential endocrine disruptors. I would like to see a review of good products that are completely bio and also product which do not have a negative environmental impact. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much! I am playing with their concealers at the moment. They're cruelty free but I don't believe they market themselves as clean. I'm moving towards "clean" exclusive content since there's no unified definition. I'll look into their foundation for a review 🥰
Have you ever tried the westman atelier foundation? I didn't see it on your channel and I'd be super curious to hear your thoughts. It's one I've been considering but given the pricetag, I don't know if it's worth it.
What product will you recommend for oily skin? I watched the whole video, but I am still in doubt because most of them were for dry skin types. Thanks a lot.
@@sarahpalmyra wow! The shimmer definitely made it appear like eyeshadow. It’s beautiful either way. The very talented makeup artist Andreea Ali said in one of her tutorials to leave the upper eye un-covered if you have darker eyelids for this very reason. How beautiful. ♥️
I really want to try Dr. Hanushka foundation. I love their products which I already have and really want to try their foundation. Anyone has experience with it?
