I bought DOA6 on a 85% discount & still felt robbed

DOA Dimensions was the actual GOAT.

I remember playing doa4 so gooooooooddddd

DOA 2-4 was a vibe.

2 was incredible. Many happy memories of playing that on lunchtimes in high school

For 3 and 4, that's about 130% accurate.

DOA 5 LR was the best one

3 & 4 were beyond perfect... everything from the art style to the character designs...

doa6 is full of bad business practices and other fuck ups but they put one of my favorite king of fighters girls in it so it has some redeeming qualities to me in that at least

Doa6 was my introduction to the series and I honestly love it. I can see where the hardcore and longtime fans would hate it with the break blows and break holds changing the momentum of fights on a dime but as a fighting game noob it really sucked me in. I’ll honestly never go back to another fighting game, doa just feels right. I’ve went back and tried 3 and 5, both are great, but as a personal preference I really appreciate the outfit grind and the progression offered by the quest mode. I don’t mind the ridiculous amount of dlc because I was easily able to ignore it, other than the characters which were cheap enough to be worth it imo. Worth noting: I play fighting games purely for the single player experience and there’s just so much single player content for DOA6

4 is the GOAT

DOA3 will always have a special place in my heart, but I'm willing to try 5 and 4 someday and see how that is. As for 6, while it looks absolutely stunning, gameplay comes first so yeah. We'll see and I'll give my thoughts later on and maybe comeback here when I've tried these three. I was playing DOA3 with my brother earlier and it was awesome! Reliving our childhood once again! Edit: tried DOA4 and 6 and 4 is pretty fun but damn those bots are insane even on normal and don't even get me started on the boss on that game... And DOA6 is fun, but I imagine I'll enjoy 5 way more. Heard that one to many is the best one for sure in the series!

4 was absolutely my GOAT. Loved the brutal AI and lightning load times that kept you in the game as much as possible. Too much focus on Esports now, for me it was always about SP.

Doa 4 and 5 are the best ones!!…The only thing I don’t like about 5 Imo is the Online, and the fact how people dislike/ hate on it

Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate is my number one favorite installment in the series. The gameplay, the music, the stages, the visuals, the replay value, the amount of attention that was paid to detail, and the insane amount of Easter eggs keep me coming back for more, despite the fact that the game is close to turning 20 years old.

My main issue with 5, personally, is that it lack the anime-esque 3D looks that 3 and 4 had. 6 sorta return back to it. As for DOA2, I do admit I have the Ultimate remix on Xbox, which I do like.

3 is the best game. Only thing 3 is missing is Virtua fighter crossover like 5 does but it is what it is. 5 is good but lacks the same feeling 3 and 4 gives. 3 survival had different character themes playing each fight and that’s the best shit ever.

You forgot DOA5 & Ultimate DOA5. DOA5: Last Round is what killed it for me, I had Ultimate on Xbox 360 and enjoyed it, even tho I hated they didn't use in-game cut scenes during intros and outros like the older games + they took away instant replays. When I got Last Round on Xbox One, they forced you to own the Christmas & Bikini costumes w/o the option to uninstall 'em, so every other match you're fighting Santa Claus or strippers your 1st Arcade run thru. Also they added way too many female characters in the DLC and only added 1 male (Raidou) when they could've used that opportunity to add Kyo (NESTS Ver.), but instead we got Mai, added 2 brand new female characters, the female ver. of Tengu, and another female from another game series (don't remember her name tho). So yeah for me it took away that ol' school arcade 3D fighter feel that DOA was known for....sad man.

DOA2/Hardcore/ultimate is THE best. Characters, diverse move sets, music and levels. SO GOOD. It had it all that makes this game amazing.

2, 3 and 4 are PERFECT. LR is good but aesthetics, atmosphere and OST fail. 6 has some awesome stages like the pirate ship, Chinatown or NY underground club, but is hindered by short story, no tag mode and atrocious DLC policy.

I just started playing Last Round and it's my first DOA game. I gotta say even outside the fan service the gameplay is absolutely addicting! Never played the older ones but hey I wasn't there when it got good so it's not as nostalgic for me. Can't say anything on 6 except I think it's roster is still incomplete I think.
