One of my favorite third jerseys. When I was younger I always referred to this as their "baseball jersey." This predates it but it reminds me of the Toronto Blue Jays rebrand from the same era. Both have a sleek modern wordmark script. The MD monogram wouldn't look out of place on the front of a ball cap.
I've never looked at this jersey from a baseball jersey perspective, but it totally works. A handful of people on the hockeyjersey subreddit custom make hockey/baseball crossover jerseys. I feel like this already fits the bill for something like that.
I love the new format guys!! Excellent and fair jersey debate. Please keep this series coming. If I may suggest a tweak to the big board. It would be interesting to see what each of you scored every jersey next to it as well. In this instance 30.5 (Average), 35 (J), 26 (S). Colour coding could also be a way to highlight your respective highest rated and lowest rated jersey (utilizing this scale) on an individual basis. The legibility of the big board is key, so I suggest utilizing columns with headers. This would allow for information to be read at a glance as jersey style, & the respective score(s) would be directly above /below each other allowing for the viewer’s eye to travel easier. This should be able to be done utilizing the ‘tab’ key (if a table is not desired). To reiterate excellent video, and I look forward to supporting this series as best I can :)
Addendum: I reviewed the numbers as per my recommendation above, and have the following. J’s highest rated jersey was this jersey (35), and his lowest was for the Edmonton jersey (23). S had his highest rating on the Canucks jersey (35), and his lowest was also on the Edmonton jersey (22). One additional thought as it pertains to the value section. I think utilizing each number to represent a $50 denomination is excellent, but would use that category as a way for each host to show how much they’d be willing to spend on the featured jersey. For example if J said “I’d be willing to pay ‘$275’.” that would be a 6, and if S said “id pay ‘$200’.” That would be a 4. The 10 point scale would cap out with 10 on any jersey “valued” at $451 or more, and would start with jerseys valued below $50. I do understand this would impact past scores, but perhaps over time the initial jerseys could be reevaluated utilizing the finalized parameters. Phil could then provide the market rate which could allow for some further discussion. I apologize for the length of comment, and appreciate the time taken to read them.
Obviously we're gonna take some time to dissect and digest these, but we will absolutely look into what to implement. This is just an acknowledgement and thank you!
I have one on my ebay 'watch' list - $275 or best offer is the price. It's a nice and rare jersey, but I don't really want to pay that much for a blank jersey, maybe if it was already customised I would at least be making an offer.
Super underrated jersey in Ducks history let alone NHL history! It seems underwhelming in pictures, but once when you have this jersey in your hands, it’s pretty awesome (bonus if there’s customization on it). STAY MIGHTY!!! 🏒 🦆
I have this. I call it the Fedorov quack jersey. I never put it on. I shall never don a quacks jersey! Yes lighten the purple and it would be an awesome LAK jersey.
@@uglythirds 😆 I wouldn‘t know - I live in Germany and have to live with horrendous shipping costs plus taxes and duties. Any jersey is an expensive jersey for me to get.
I was never a fan of the Ducks wordmark jersey. It looked okay at best, but there was nothing on here that really screams "Anaheim Mighty Ducks" to me.
