The Baltimore Ravens tamed the Detroit Lions with a 38-6 blowout win. Lamar Jackson had an incredible game, finishing 21-of-27 for 393 total yards and four total touchdowns. Colin Cowherd explains why he is crowning the Ravens 'the best team in the NFL.' The Kansas City Chiefs (and Taylor Swift) defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 31-17. Justin Herbert struggled, finishing with 259 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. He was also sacked five times. However, Colin is not here for the Herbert slander and discusses why the QB is not to blame for the Chargers ongoing issues.

Money doesn't change people, it just lets them be free to show who they really are. That's no different with Lamar. Football people who have followed him since Louisville (where he efficiently ran a pro style offense into a Heisman year without any top tier receivers) aren't surprised by anything other than how long it's taken the rest to catch up on how really good he actually is.

Honestly, the only team that I would say "owns" Lamar are the Steelers. Now, he's only played them, I believe, 4 times in his career cause of missing games due to injury, illness, or in the case of 2019, sitting out Week 17 when the Ravens had already secured the division and the #1 seed. I think he's 1-3 in those games. Lamar owns the Browns and Bengals with a 14-4 record against them, 3-1 vs Joe Burrow. When Lamar is on, there actually might not be a player more difficult to beat.

To reiterate further, Versus the Steelers Lamar Jackson has his lowest Passer Rating of 66 with 636 yds 4tds 7ints 20sacks and 6FF and 4 lost. with a 1 - 3 record. The Steelers own the Raven not just LJ8. They have beaten them 6 of 7 with Sweeps in 2020, 2021, and should have been swept in 2022 if Trubisky doesn't replace the Injured Pickett and throw 3 INT's in the Redzone a game where the Steelers lost 17 - 16.

Yes, but the lions were actually the first NFC team to have played him twice with the same HC both times. This will change with McVay Shanaham & Carroll later this year. Came a little faster than once every 4 years with the 17th game scheduling. I do agree that I don't think the playing only every 4 years argument is whack, dudes just a nightmare to play against. Only teams that really have had his number are the steelers and chiefs

Against KC it was a tipped ball, he forced a throw against Dallas on 3rd and long with the game pretty much being over if he’s sacked. Vastly over exaggerating how bad those ints are. defense has let up 350+ passing yards 3 times in 6 games. Most points let up in a QBs first three years ever. Get real

True, Herbert's numbers overall are good to very good. And yes, he has obstacles to overcome on a weekly basis. However, the team has been down by a field goal or less in two of their losses with roughly two minutes to go on the clock. In a third loss, they went to OT and won the coin flip. In none of those situations was their Herbert-led offense able to score. If he is indeed elite, I would expect that at a minimum he would convert one of those situations into a win. He's 0-3.

With the Chargers, when you don't build rhythm...run, run, pass...Herbert can't get going. The 4th quarter is when they give the ball to Herbert and say "we're losing and are out of "bad" ideas". They should give Herbert the ball in the first quarter so he can figure out the defense.

Only reason we were even in contention to win against Miami, kept us in the game scrambling for his life and running for firsts against Dallas, had to play literally perfect to beat Minnesota and we still almost lost at the last second and we’re blaming Herbert? Teams can win in spite of bad qb play, the chargers can’t even win in spite of good qb play.
