Our mans Dylan Hepworth finally made it to the 'Bu to get some laps on the one-way. Witness his raw science on cast Rogue Trucks and 64mm 80a Six-fours
keep it underground, scene is legit cause love and fun for the sport exists, no groupies, no cyber-skaters, just awesome humans. I also feel cause the scene isn't commercial and there isn't tons of money in it. Money corrupts!! All we need is stoke and good vibes, we don't do it for media attention, we do it because we love longboarding!
That super straight can put you up to 60 dude, Im impressed he even went for the standup toe. Watch as he untucks before the left where he taps puck, it was a natural reaction that says, "OH FUCK im going fast"
Daniel Maisel ehh 60 is a bit of a stretch, i dont doubt it tho. you would need some pretty perfect conditions and be all suited up. on a good day its like low-mid 50s.
true, it was really only rumor that 60's are achievable. The speed out of the toeside shows he was probably in the 40's for that toeside. Especially after he tried scrubbing heelside in the right kink before the left. He still decided to untuck cause he knew he was going faster than he wanted to take that left. Full tuck to the turn may have been lower 50's like you said. It seemed pretty windy during this run as well.
watch this vid with only one eye and hold your hands ind front of you face to cover the 1st 1/3 with the left hand and cover the 3dr 1/3 with your right hand.... and wtf it looks like 20 kph...
the reason wide angles look fast is because the edges are warped and exaggerate distance. That's why cropping footage even to stabilize makes it look slower
