Just launched my longboard company NeuVision Skate Co! neuvisionskateco.com/ The first drop is limited and only available to US, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Mexico so check it out if you're interested :)
you gotta love life A LOT to be able to skate like this otherwise as soon as you get up to speed you'll fall and rip off your entire face and then some.
Indeed! In addition to running over 60mph behind him, he clearly moved his camera hand up and down in a way to perfectly offset his jerky movement while running at superhuman speeds, giving us a perfectly smooth video to watch as well! Very nice work from the camera man
When you realize its an SUV chasing him with a camera strapped to the grill, and not another guy on a board...holy crap. Good driver. And epic run there Josh.
@@omsteve4761 you can literally see the shadow of the car, but I don't believe the camera is strapped to the grill. I'd assume they have some sort of rig to support the camera for these smooth shots.
@@LTTMonene not directly on the grill but if you watch the shadow of the vehicle from 2:58 - 3:00 you can see that the camera is mounted on the front of the hood.
@@russell7491No sarcasm. I love the fact that it's just the sound of the board and the wind. No music to drown the sound of what is really happening. I will NEVER attempt this. But seeing you do it makes me feel like I am there. Thank you for posting this; it's awesome.
Yes I'm, this vidio show for: 1. Sports and Extreme sports fans 2. MotoGP technic & technologi likers, ETC. (This is my context). Your vidio has arrived in Indonesia (Country in Asia), because here too there this game a little bit same. It is played by village children in mountainous areas but uses a tricycle and I forget the name, because the name is too traditional. Be CAREFUL Bro !!! Have a good day !!!
Everyone talking how dangerous and impressive that was and all I can think of is how his legs must have felt like tv static after being on a furiously vibrating board for 8 minutes straight
@@maxmoore5857 not at all, his wheels are hard so he can slide like that, the vibrations are killer i know i was almost sponsored my freeride for downhill bombing
I've done similar with Inlines and its all about routine and training - and ofc Inline-Skates are way less able to shock-absorb than this longboard. The wood does a good job here. You need to have good trained calves and hours of driving. Your soles of your feet will become callus and your leg muscles get used to it.
@@blyat1 physics dictate that any problem with the balance of the skater the car's inertia would crush him to dust; my point is : it's one thing (assumed risk) of skating down a hill but another extra lethal risk comes from the fact he's got a car waiting to run over him 5 meters back ALL THE TIME (which runs at a speed that makes impossible to brake in those 5 meters if the skater falls)
The physical strength, endurance, balance, skill and confidence you have are just mind blowing. What an unbelievable ride. Im sure I will be watching this a few thousand times. Thank you Josh 😊
This video is so majestic, the flair from the sunlight, the wind flowing through his clothing, the sheer thrill of his downhill ride...the way that he aligns his right knee behind his left knee for the ultimate downhill aerodynamic speed.
This dude does not even have knee pads, but he drives at high speed along a mountain road. And I’m even scared to ride a skateboard in a flat city park.
@@Halvtooth Yes, I saw a protective shell. But still, the guy is fearless, I would dress like an astronaut, in the sense that everything would be protected, since I can not ride. And he is a master in his business, coolly riding, on the verge of fantasy.
@@Kabardino-Balkaria07 the fear of falling can keep one from falling. i havent seen this guy jumping mega ramps or sky diving, but one person's extreme is another's happy place! im afraid of heights but love to climb/fly/dive regardless. same with public speaking and roller coasters, at any moment you could shit your pants but when you start with that thought and forget it as you keep going, it becomes extremely exhilarating
@@Slikk0201 I've been skateboarding for 19 years and longboarding for 11 years. I know more than enough to make a comment. If you think im wrong explain why. p.s. I also do downhill longboarding, I know exactly what im talking about.
Man, how I love Josh Neuman skating. Words can't describe the peace I feel just watching this guy skate. You literally brings tears if joy to my eyes. I can't skate for schite, but my eight year old son is learning. Very very unfortunate that you've left us for the next life. All the best mate.💐💐🌹🌹 From Africa, Lesotho🇱🇸💝🇱🇸🇱🇸🇱🇸
Not being a skate boarding fan, I have only just come across this guy due to his death in a plane crash in Iceland. It is a great loss to the skate boarding fraternity and all who knew him. I would probably have thought twice before doing what he was doing, on a bicycle, let alone a skate board. An truly amazing talent.
I remember being able to just tell my body to do crazy things when I was young and athletic and it would just comply. Now my body laughs at me. You took that same ability and cranked it up 100 notches. You are the kind of athlete who says if I can do this, then what else can I do and go do it. It’s frightening and exhilarating to watch at the same time.
My clothing company neuvision.co/ just went live for presale!! (72 HOURS ONLY!) Everything is going 100% to charity and each sweatshirt sold will give one person clean water for the rest of their life through our partnership with GlobalH20! Please check it out and considering supporting :) Love you guys!
If by "cruise" you mean plummet 600 miles per millisecond down a 40 degree mountainous paved road with hairpin turns every 11 inches - I'm'a give that a hard pass.
What with the relative narrowness of this road, the speed going around blind hairpin bends and the speed of the following car, the potential for fatal catastrophe is huge.....amazing, as usual.
That close call at 2:35 was amazing! You held that slide to the last possible second and still made it. I wish I had enough confidence to power slide like that. I learn so much from watching your videos. Total respect to you Josh!
@@JoshNeuman I cannot believe what happened to you man. I’m so sad that you’re gone. It would have been a dream to be able to skate down a hill with a legend like you Josh. You inspired me to level up on my skating and take on going downhill. Also, you reminded me how I should be living life, and that’s to its fullest. I will forever remember the impact you made on my life. Rest In Peace brother. The day I ride the French alps like you, I will do so in your name.
Gorgeous mountain scenery plus skateboarder flying down the road at 60 to 70 mph is a winning combination. Your videos are addictive ! Keep them coming.
Awesome views. Unbelievable power slide...8:41, That road section seemed like it was really on the edge. Accelerating and dealing with wicked valley windage. Your too much......
All I can say is incredible and talented!! This dude has skills the ability to judge the speed on those sharp turns blows my mind INSANE display of NO FEAR if he crashes it’s a rap like falling out of a airplane! Much respect to this Kat!!
RIP Josh Neuman. You were an inspiration to extreme skaters who craved speed. Your videos are works of art. I wish I bought one of your boards while I still could. You helped inspire me to learn freestyle skating. It's tragic that you died. Your skill and balls on a skateboard were straight up legendary. I guess you finally had a fall that you couldn't handle...
@@adamvoliva I'm not too sure about that. If the guys sliding on the ground, he's pretty light and friction would slow him fairly fast. A heavy ass car on the other hand better at least have some good brakes
@@Piegoose you actually slide farther than you'd think when you fall off a longboard with those speeds and one also usually slides on the gloves so there's less danger than one would think
I’ve just only over the last couple of days come across this incredibly talented guy, and appreciate the amount of skill needed to zoom along these beautiful roads being a motorcyclist myself an used to absolutely love flying round the roads myself before I had a bad accident a few years ago. I still enjoy it but have to take a bit easier now a days 😏 ! Such a shame finding out about josh loosing his life just recently!! But wow he was “ incredible “ Rip man!! Greetings from Portsmouth England 🏴
Amazing as always. Thanks for the great video again. Quick question, what's the distance (miles/kilometers) covered? I always wonder whenever i watch these vids.
RIP Josh I'll meet you in heaven some day, your videos were the best in this universe. I'm pretty sad man how can you pass away Josh I wanted to meet you.
Damn fine run Josh. Super rad control of those frontside slides...a lot confidence in that wheel grip. Props to your bearing sponsor that can manufacture bearings that can sustain those rpms for 11mins.
The Hodophiles if you look it up the director said he did the stunt himself and it was filmed in Iceland. Super cool right?! Anyway sorry it’s just that it’s my favorite movie ;-;
I think that once I fully give up on life, I'll start living like this. On the edge with no seatbelt to save me if something goes horribly wrong. I suppose that would be the definition of being alive. “Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, “Wow what a ride!” - Hunter S. Thompson.
