So sad. I live in the Scottish highlands and have never been fortunate enough to travel in a 747, DC10/MD11 or any of the other beautiful classic airliners. Seeing these gorgeous ladies all sat lined-up at the air park makes me very sad.
The first 747-400 has been saved is now sitting in the Delta museum in Atlanta. It was delivered to Northwest first and then became part of the Delta fleet after the merger.
I have almost 10,000 hours flying various 747's, much of it as captain. This is very sad. Been to Pinal Airpark many times. My ex company used to lease the place. Enough said on that!
