That was 18 minutes well spend. I loved the radius contraption, it is genius in it's simplicity my friend. I think you definately have what it takes. Best regards from the Netherlands.

Using a welder to etch into metal is a great idea. I never would have thought that something like that was possible.

I built an exact stingray copy including the bridge in 2005. It featured on various Ernie Ball forums. At that time there were no parts available and so I made everything. I’ve since built a 5 replica also.

Your an incredible builder and woodworker I'm soo impressed especially with the neck you made I know how hard that is that's the reason I'm re purposing a old bass neck I had I'm just putting wings on the headstock and cutting out the design Im building a 4001 rickenbacker copy from scratch I'm halfway through it and I don't have a workshop either so I enjoyed this even more

Really cool build man! I have always loved the look of a Stingray bass, which is why I bought one back in 1998. Still have it too! Anyway, your work is awesome even without a proper shop!

nice. I'm working my first body build. Lots of challenges. Few tools. Scavenged wood. You obviously have skill. It's great to see such a fine job done WITHOUT a full wood working shop. Would love to see the video of the fret radius jig.

Nice build... I have always wanted to try and build my own bass... I recently after tons of research and asking a ton of questions on talkbass, dives into a headstock repair on my Ibanez. Its an inexpensive bass, but my father got it for me in 2003 and he ia no longer with us, but i had pretty much tossed a fit at band practice and tossed my bass down and damaged it. The headstock was split and cracked very badly... You can learn anything on youtube these days and i was successful with my repair... I would love to have some.custom inlays put in but no luthiers are close iny area and i haven't got the steady hand, patience, and courage to do it myself... Thanks for your video, and that bass looks and aounds great.

very good man! amazing work, I'd love to purchase one of these but I'm a little broke lol, my only recommendation to resemble the appearance of the stingray better is to use a sterling bridge from a sterling ray24 or ray34 from reverb, and a string tree, what a sexy instrument you made!

Man build me a BASS pleeeeeeezzze? I really have the money….lol…no but really i do! I just love your builds they have this rawness that I’m really looking for & i want hands touching my instrument not a robot!!! Can’t replace love bro. And I’m rewarding myself with a custom build after years of road, studio & just hard work it took to raise a family as a bassist full time and never had to really do much else ( pure luck). I’m extremely great full for being just lucky enough to be at the right place for a few long term gigs that made my being a full time musician worth while. However I have had some really nice basses and I’m always adding this taking away that too kind of make it mine per-say, but I’ve never had a custom and I just want one before it’s over. I’m still groov’n daily but I’m 60 now.

How did you get the conductive paint to connect to ground?
@PforProject
@PforProject 2 года назад
The conductive paint works as a Faraday cage to prevent interference from outside influences. It doesn't need to be grounded to block the interference. That said. The conductive paint touches the potmeters housing everywhere one is inserted through to the other side. The housings are grounded and thus, everything is.
