The g-15 color is so underrated not only on the aviators but all Rayban Models. Many complain how the Wayferer ease only has the typical classic colors but I think it looks classic and elegant.
Ive watched the film twice and noticed that although other characters Ray Bans had the logo visible, it was however missing from Mavericks. Always wanted a set of Aviators but whener trying on, even the 55m looked too big so i got a set of Caravan 55mm. However today i found and ordered the RB3044 Aviators. Same as the classic 3025 but 52mm. 😊

@@oldlud8971 Yes but the 3400's have translucent nose pads while the original L0205's have transparent ones. Both are RB3025's. Otherwise the same glasses. They were promoting the 3400's in a lot of ads with Top Gun: Maverick. Either way it's the same look.

My only problem with G-15 lenses they barely make any difference when wearing them compare to my own eyes. Very little, almost unnoticeable difference. On a direct, bright sunlight is just not good enough.
The sunglasses of the fist top gun movie were better. Val Kilmer wore the shooter model. That’s the true classic. Aviators are cool but if u want a true vintage look then u gotta buy the shooter model.
Hey Jake! A flash mirror's reflection is more subtle or subdued compared to a solid mirror that completely blocks the ability of people to see your eyes when wearing them.

It is not, any polarized Ray Ban lens will have a 'P' stamped next to the logo on the front of the right lens. Pilots cannot use polarized lenses because it interferes with their ability to read instrumentation in the cockpit.

Going off screenshots from the first film, he does appear to be wearing the RayBan 3025 Aviator. Note the thin wire temples synonymous with the RB3025, and the bottom part of the double bridge is slightly curved upward. The Concorde model by comparison, has a broader temple as well as a straighter bottom bridge and a wider gap between the 2 bridges. Hope this helps!
