Eagles pre and post game will never be the same without him, like I'm really kinda sad right now, the squad I grew up on is almost gone. The Gov, Westbrook, Douglas, now Ray. Even on the basketball side Dei Lynam is gone, the network just isn't the same.

Same here man. It feels so weird now. I can’t imagine what it’s gonna be like in September. And don’t even get me started on wrapping my mind around Merrill Reese being done one of these years very soon as well. Time just keeps passing by.

Yeah, they really shook things up over there. Ron Burke, Leslie Gudel, Neil Hartman, all gone. At least Ray is leaving on his own terms. I'm not an Eagles fan, in any way, but I always watched post-game live for his analysis. And Barkhan isn't funny as hell...

It's been a JOY to have Ray Didinger as a member of the Philly media. As a kid I read his stories in "The Bulletin" and loved his appearance's on TV. My 1st game was 1974. I have the 74 yearbook which I have autographed by both players on the cover. Roman Gabriel and Harold Carmichel. I started following the Eagles in 72 after receiving for Christmas my 1st electric football game. And wondering why every Sunday my Father would yell at the TV! I guess you can say I been a Eagles fan for 50 years and all that time Ray covered my team. I cannot thank you enough for how you made my passion grow with your reporting. I will miss you very much and God Bless you!

Ray Didi is my all time favorite local media analyst. He will definitely be missed. Met him in person a couple times as well. Totally humble. Just an awesome person. Incredibly talented, knowledgeable, and has an unmatched work ethic. Dude uses notes and written remarks and has better opinions/analysis than 99% of all media. Congrats to a legend.

As a kid, I fell in love with the NFL, taking in the drama and poetry of NFL film classics on ESPN, narrated by John Facenda. The way Ray Didinger spoke and wrote about the Eagles reminded me of that NFL poetry; and the fact that we had him as Eagles fans made me feel as though there was something just a little bit more special about being an Eagles fan compared to fans of other NFL teams. I'm from the millennial generation and listening to Ray Didinger made me feel a connection will every Eagles fan who ever lived, going all the way back to the Norm Van Brocklin and Steve Van Buren fan bases. Truly the end of an era.
