@@sharkytampy You might enjoy this. It was my first attempt at Stop Motion animation back in 1985. I built both characters from armature wire and foam rubber! Took me 5 weeks to complete.

Not only Mr Harryhausen is a great movie special effects master,but also a great scale model creator,His pterodactyl model could flap or move it's body part in any manner.

Not that I don't find the concept of cavemen fighting dinosaurs entertaining, but a more accurate depiction of the world ancient humans lived in wouldn't really cut back on the drama. You could have them fight mammoths, mastodons, saber-toothed cats, woolly rhinos, giant bears, cave lions, giant ground sloths, giant deer with antlers spanning 12 feet, giant teratorn vultures and huge eagles, or if you want to be more exotic, giant marsupials, large spiky turtles, terrestrial crocodiles and colossal goannas for Australia. A lot of the megafauna early humans encountered were outlandish and right out of a fantasy story.

A very interesting short documentary. Yes, as he says people did not live in the days of the dinosaurs but who cares? It's a cracking adventure movie and let's face it, it's a more realistic depiction of life in prehistoric times than The Flintstones.

A little bit of a mistake. An anachronism: dinosaurs went EXTINCT about 62 - 64 MILLION years ago. And humanoids ( not even human beings ) appeared about 3.5 million years ago. People and dinosaurs NEVER lived together. Because of these movies, when I was a child, for years, I thought that they had, until maaany years later, I learned they didn't. I hate these mistakes. From the movies point of view, they were a great advance, but scientifically, a disaster.

Actually dinosaurs went enxtinct about *66 MILLION YEARS AGO*
@carlosramos5256
@carlosramos5256 2 года назад
@@limmeingo3428 It happened SO LONG AGO, that the precise date is not clearly known. As I said, it was 62 - 63 million years ago. It was so long ago that the bottom of a river where dinosaurs walked across, today is a vertical wall.
