Ooh, Lets talk about Ray Rice like we are actually going to do shit about it. People make me laugh in the comment section. Saying shit like "Vick should be banned" and "Ray Lewis was involved in a murder like some shit ago" even though EVERYBODY knows already. But yet you still had to say something about it because, well it's RU-vid. I'm glad everyone here is picture perfect so they can judge someone who made a dumb ass mistake. Thank You
To say something back to your question why was he first ballot hall of famer was because he was confident in his team he motivated them he showed them wat its like to be tough he was a great player. he never gave up yes he was hurt multiple times in his career that means nothing he still came back with all his energy and confidence and his motivation. at the end of the day they chose him.✌✋👅
Oh well that still says a lot about your integrity, let me guess, you dont give it your all 100% of the time like moss and you're a big whiny cheater like your bitch boy brady? I bet I am pretty close cheater
Didn't this guy allegedly stuff a dead body in the trunk of a car? Too bad there wasn't video footage of that. Him and Marvin Harrison and Aaron Hernandez should be sharing a cell.
I do know that Ray Lewis is a first ballot hall of Famer but I sometimes question what for. I know this guy was tuff and you didn't want to go across the middle because of him but this guy was always hurt through out his career and I know he made some great plays but I think his legacy is all about the dance and passionate quotes he's a great linebacker but no better then London flecher or Brian urlacher. And urlacher was overrated as well
Lewis was injured during his prime only the 05 year. I don't know how closely you watched Ray or not and that's ok, but Ray was actually Revolutionary. One of the first breed of speed line backs who beat guards to gaps, covered even slot receivers, and completely efficient tackler. Had a year with 6 interceptions, only player with over 30 sacks and over 30 interceptions. He was definitely much more special than his speeches or highlights lead on. He read offenses, called most of the plays for 17 years. And I'll be the first to say that he severely got worse after 2009. From 2010-2012 he became a liability for Baltimore at linebacker and was reduced to a signal caller and leader and less of a play maker. But from his prime years 96-09 (00-04 in particular) he was literally unstoppable he'd shut down backfield play by any one.
Bryan Gilchrist Ray Lewis was the first modern Mike, in the vein of Keuchly, Willis, Bowman. He was revolutionary. First of all, it goes without saying that he was the most fundamentally sound tackler of all time. They said he was undersized coming out of college; he shattered the prototypical mold when he had IMMEDIATE success. He could cover receivers one on one, he could rush the quarterback, and his vision for stopping the runner was unparalleled when he was in his prime. He made everyone around him better not only because of the standard of excellence he created in regards to preparation, he LOCKED DOWN the middle of the field. Like people don't realize why Ed Reed was able to gamble so much, why every edge setting Linebacker that played next to him (Adalius Thomas, Jarret Johnson, Ed Hartwell, Jamie Sharper) had so much success playing with him, then went elsewhere, got big money and then FLOPPED or at the very least had a huge decline in effectiveness. There was always one consistent factor during those years. People remember Ray for the dancing and the emotional leadership he brought, but he was one of the most cerebral football players to ever play the game. The coaching greats have said as much on many occasions; that's why he commands so much respect from these legendary Quarterbacks as well.
Lewis was a very good linebacker who delivered some huge hits. In 2002 and 2005 he got hurt and I think in 2012 in the second half of the season. But there’s no doubt he’s probably the best middle linebacker I’ve seen play.
