This fight was incredible. Neither man gave up an inch.

They had everything set up for a big Ray Mancini celebration but Livingstone Bramble crashed the party.

The biased announcers finally had to admit that Bramble's punches were really hurting Mancini after round 7. He was landing beautiful counters though the entire fight but not getting credit for them. I thought he was winning the entire fight. He chopped up Mancini like an Italian pizza! Great upset!

Bernstein was quite biased in this fight, but his guy Mancini was getting pasted t/o the fight , no way it was even after 10!

Mancini couldn't hide anymore. After his loss to WBC legend Alexis Arguello Mancini would go on to win the WBA title from a less heralded champion in Art Frias. Frias was definitely not in the same league as Arguello. From there Mancini would be fed a steady diet of over the hill has beens in boxing and men whom you never heard of. Yes, he had the reputation of having a lot of heart but his camp knew against much more talented men his Rocky Balboa balls to wall style of fighting would only take him so far. But don't be fooled by all that heart. I remember this fight vividly. I remember that people at ringside could hear Mancini tell the ref to stop it as Bramble was teeing off on him in that last sequence. In replays you don't see it nor hear it but more than one person was quoted as saying that Mancini asked the ref to step in. That may explain why Mancini doesn't look all that disappointed in his corner.

In my opinion he(Mancini) has had (even at this point) "too many wars"! And then maybe it could have been the "Du Ku Kim" situation or perhaps both! Even Arguello would have had a tough time with guy(at least on this night anyway)!

Totally fixed fight shouldn't have never stop the fight boom boom could take a bunch. Just too much money involved with both fights vs bramble. Boom boom beat Hector Camacho as well. Even Camoncho said so. Boom boom's only true loss is to Alexis argueo. Boxing is one of the most fixed sports there is. Football is beginning to turn into it.
