Hey everyone! Thanks so much for your patience on this! It originally got blocked for copyright after it uploaded so I had to cut out any footage from the Olympics. For those of you who need subtitles, it'll just take a bit of extra time but it'll be available soon! The footage I cut out was when my guest was talking about OTHER competitors and how well they did and I used footage to support what he was saying. You're not missing any information due to the copyright, just visual support for the points he was making. Thanks again for your patience and understanding.

I saw a video by an Australian blogger comparing this woman's performance to that of Paralympian break dancers and they were SOOO much better than her. So why are you not embarrassed by the Aussie female 100m sprinter that didn't get passed the first round. Clearly she was a joke thinking she was somehow going to run 1.5 seconds faster than she ever had before? Imagine going to the Olympics with full knowledge you are not going to come close to getting a medal let alone getting into the final. We should cast this level of judgement on every Olympian that finished last in their event.

I’m also an Aussie, and the mood here is one of embarrassment and disbelief that Raygun is the best female breakdancer Australia could send. My daughters are dancers and have been dancing since they were little, and I can tell you that the level of talent and skill I’ve witnessed over the years watching young dancers at Australian competitions is outstanding. I know we have real dance superstars in Australia, so I don’t understand how Raygun was sent to represent us.

@marzaak11 Because Raygun was judged to be the best in competition at our Olympic qualifying event, the WDSF Oceania Breaking Championship held in Sydney in October 2023. Is she really the best we have? I am led to believe she is not but the others, such as B-girl Mags, chose to compete in the Red Bull BC One World Final that took place on October 21, 2023 in Paris, France. They chose to not attend the Olympic qualifying event and so clearly were not interested in representing Australia at the Olympics.

Do your thing, girl, have fun. But you’re on the wrong stage. “You can’t just go in there and disrupt a whole culture of people. “There should be an investigation into why the World DanceSport Federation allowed this to happen. They should have required a certain level of expertise to be at the Olympics. “It would have been nice if she had bowed out. Her behaviour is a global trend that I have noticed. People generally have become so self-absorbed and they lack objectvity to the point that anything that differs from their little house of cards is already labelled as hate and is vilified. As a result, people put out mediocrity and expect it to be lapped up with no critical thinking. That's why there's jokes like: "Everybody's so creative." The interviewee should not be wasting his compassion on her. Yes, we all start somewhere, but to get to the Olympics, one should have a minimum level of performance that places them above average, let alone mediocre. Otherwise, every beginner should be allowed to participate everywhere. My question then is: What is the value of mastery in any discipline then? Her performance was awful and a complete mockery of the craft, the audience and the Olympics as a whole, that's statement of fact. What's worse is that she seemed to be condescending about it because she was on the world stage and had the attention on her. If that's not a high level of narcissism then I don't know what is. We may speak of compassion and grace but where is her humility and contrition for her behaviour?

The breaking participants from Oceania, Africa and refugees were much lower quality than the rest and only there to represent Oceania, Africa and refugees, not because they are the best in the world. In a marathon it doesn't matter if someone is much slower, in swimming it doesn't matter either. Conflict of interest = possible rigging. So, if these lower level comp were rigged, thats how she got her #1 bbgirl ranking with Ausbreak, which led to Ausbreak sending her to international comps and supporting her financially. Maybe the #1 bbgirl ranking (where she got it from rigged comps) is what led to her to grow this delusional thinking that she was good?

There is a serious cultural problem in the west Australia and the US - where the victims are completely discounted. She robbed a genuinely talented break dancer from the chance at Olympic competition. She knew she was doing it. She was allowed to do it and now she’s playing a victim because people are calling her out on it. This happens throughout society right up to the point of actual criminals getting off on light sentences or no sentences and the victims not even being allowed to protest. It’s not about bashing or condescending - it is about holding people responsible for their actions and ensuring that others see that they are held accountable.

The woman had a not so favourable three minutes on a dance mat, that is true. As an Aussie, I feel it wasn't her best moment, no. But she doesn't deserve the same kind of attention given to actual criminals, who set out to do harm. This woman and her family's lives have been affected. There have been threats of harm. Fgs. Who was physically damaged by this dance? No one. Aussies had their pride bent, yes. So what? Get over it. Word up, for the Hip-Hop culture here is some very thought provoking background information on the entire Raygun fiasco for any interested people... When breaking was announced as an Olympic sport for 2024 the AOC went to DanceSport Australia who in turn went to Raygun and her husband Samuel Free. Raygun and Samuel Free brought in AUSBreaking (which was created in October 2019 around the same time as the Olympic announcement of breakdancing in 2024) to help them organize the Olympic breaking qualification process. A $275,000 grant was given for them to oversee and to help them organize the Olympic qualification process through AUSBreaking. Raygun's husband (who is a physically challenged break-dancer) wanted to represent Australia in Paris but due to an alleged leg injury he became an Olympic team breaking coach - Raygun's coach specifically. Raygun then became their focus of getting to Paris which would make for a storybook tale of PhD Dr Raygun going from academic to Olympian. Money was to be made from books, speaking engagements, honors-awards, TV appearances, movie on her life, and more. She would also become the face of female breaking in Australia all the while enhancing her academic and national celebrity profile - a living legend. They (AUSBreaking) then rushed the Olympic qualification process which kept many of Australia's best female breakers out of the event. Only 14 of the 16 female qualification spots were filled - all by friends of Raygun. Raygun subsequently defeated Holy Molly, someone she had defeated at least 3 times prior despite Holy Molly visibly being the better break-dancer (their previous battle videos are on YT), to qualify for Paris. Raygun had almost a year to come up with an Olympic routine but knowing that she was outclassed her and her husband came up with that buffoonery that we saw in Paris. Raygun then doubled down in a post-Olympic public statement claiming that she worked really hard preparing for Paris and gave it her all. In the end all of their behind the scenes manipulation of the Olympic qualifying process blew up in their faces. Raygun has done nothing but steal from the Hip-Hop culture since she got involved with breakdancing. From her PhD in Cultural Studies (Deterritorializing Gender In Sydney's Breakdancing Scene: A B-girl's Experience Of B-boying) to her manipulating the Australian break-dance scene through her manufactured AUSBreaking organization breakdancing profile full of highly questionable wins and national rankings to her disastrous Olympic appearance has all been for self gain at the detriment of the culture. Raygun is a propped up academic poser who has been perpetrating a serious fraud - she's not down by law!! You reap what you sow... as the old saying goes.

It wasn't without merit and there wasn't any manipulation. The competitors simply weren't very good. The World DanceSport Federation conducted the selection process and the judges were a panel of international well known people from the breakdancing community. None of them were Australian. Anyone from Oceania could compete by simply registering and turning up at the selections in Sydney. There were 37 men, but only 15 women showed up. The judges decided that she was best on the day, and if you watched it you'd see that there wasn't much talent in the whole field. The main problem is that if she'd performed the same routine that she did at the qualifiers, then no one would be aware of what happened. She may have come last, but it wouldn't have been reported on and it would just fly under the radar. But instead, she had a brainfart and decided to be 'creative'. By jumping around like a kangaroo, posing like a T-rex, and flailing around on the floor, she performed a ridiculous routine that had little to do with breaking, and she opened herself up to the ridicule of the world. This could have been avoided if she'd simply performed the routine somewhere before the Olympics and someone would have let her know how ridiculous it was.

Just wanna clarify something in case anyone wonders ... I couldn't help but go into a deep internet dive around her breaking background, following the terrible display at the Olympics. Personally, I find her very smug & painfully unaware of her lack of skill in breakdancing. I also get the impression that she has been surrounded by "yes, you're good" people for years, wth no-one being honest with her. Her husband is an absolutely shocking breaker & his influence & coaching too, raises many questions. At the end of the day, Australia is known as a strong sporting nation & we send the best to the Olympics... I think we are owed an honest & detailed explanation as to how Raygun qualified for the Olympics & more information around quality breakers who may have been excluded from participating. There are major kinks in the chain for someone with Raygun's skills to be on the Australian Olympic team.

People saying she was terrible isn't hate. Yes, there are jerks, but don't go on a global stage and not expect criticism. Especially a free trip across the world to do...that. And I looked at the percentages per HER suggestion...it made her performance look even worse. Out of 270 categories she won seven, I think? I'm not interested in breakdancing at all, but if people say she did poorly, that's not hate. The numbers prove it. It was proven she legitimately qualified, but I saw the opponents, and it was DEFINITELY a "best of the rest" situation. Is this comment hateful? I haven't attacked her personally; everything refers to a situation she sought out voluntarily. And I'm sure people will reply "you couldn't do any better" No I can't. And I'm 100% certain they criticize people they couldn't outperform either. Everybody does that.

Haha I can simplify it if you’d like. See the red boxes above going from A-I? That’s the color each judge voted for overall, red being Logistics and Blue being Raygun. To see why they each went with red you have a more detailed breakdown for each judge. The left most column is each judge and next to them is how they voted on each criteria as well as their overall preference (which is the exact same thing as the top horizontal line A-I). So even if on 1 criteria, 2 judges thought Raygun did better, it wasn’t enough for their overall pick to be her and so they all went red and she scored 0 😊
