Just happened to notice. This screenshot shows the person playing had wasted all of their lives at this point. Sorry, but if you're on your last life by the time you fight Moskito, you're gonna have a bad time with this game.
What if he lost them all then got 3 lives then? You wouldn't notice it. I'm saying this because losing lives in this game is very common. I personally found Miskitos nest hard but the other forest levels were fine. And this is coming from someone who got through band land quite quickly, though I did screw up a lot so I'm no scrub :p
How come the very first boss has one of the best themes in the game? I mean, the others don't get a theme this kickass until Mr. Skops and that's a shame 'cuz there're THREE bosses until you get to him and none of them has a theme like Moskito. I'm not saying their themes are bad, on the contrary they're great, but they oddly don't feel better than this one, which I think would normally happen in any game. The first bosses get some pretty awesome themes and the subsequent bosses get even better ones. Oh well, at least the songs for Mr. Skops and Mr. Dark were perfect.
sperrotta91 Well, my point was about the OTHER bosses, the ones that come after Moskito and before Mr. Skops. Like I said, the songs for Mr. Skops and Mr. Dark were perfect, but the others left me wishing for a bit more. You'd expect them to be a little more kickass than Moskito's theme.
sperrotta91 Err... forget what I said, I thought you were talking about Mr. Skops theme when I replied back. Guess I must've been tired back then or something, I didn't realize you were talking about Mr. Sax' theme. Yeah, it's brilliant and very fitting for the character, but like you said it doesn't feel as imposing as the musics for Moskito and Mr. Skops. I dunno, back when I used to play this game in my PC, the audio was broken so there was no sound whatsoever, no music or sound effects or voice or nothing. Back then, whenever I reached Mr. Sax and (specially) Mr. Stone, I'd picture a dark and menacing boss theme since both of them were so big and both chased you in some point during the game. Guess my expectations were a little broken the day I decided to find out what their real themes were like. Pff!
OMG. When I finally busted out the Rayman disc for my PS1, hooked up the speakers to the system and TV, I was like "HOLY CRAP THIS-- TOO MODERN FOR '95!" It makes the game seem new since not even games today have soundtracks like this.
@leothar i heard that there are 2 bugs, one is bzzzit, the friendly one, and then there's moskito, the actual threatening one, so they have unique names to change who each one is.
What annoys me about seeing this boss battle on RU-vid is when Moskito flies along the ground or in mid air - some of you duck or jump over him! WHY!! You can get another hit in on him in mid air or on the ground - and will make life much easier for yourself!
The most confusing part of this boss is the color mixup. Moskito is actually red and the pink color used in the video is Bzzit’s. It wouldn’t make since if it would look like that Bzzit quickly betrayed Rayman after befriending Bzzit. And in the Mr. Dark boss. Bzzit’s face appears in the glass and the boss (where his head is mixed with Mr. Sax and Space Mama) But luckily Rayman Redemption fixed both of those problems.
Well let's be honest: Awesome as Rayman 1 was, there really wasn't too much of a plot. Evil wizard arrives, kidnaps the denizens of your world. Go stop him My only real complaint for this game is whatever happened to Mr. Dark? He got away, didn't he? But we never see him again. Did he just up and decide "Okay, I'll be nice now"? What happened there?
That feeling when someone used this song on Sven Coop. The half-life MOD I was like "Wait a minute... I have heard this on somewhere D:" when I was playing.
I just got this game as a PSOne Classic and played it on my PSP. It's almost like the game was meant to be played in widescreen, even though the original image is stretched.
michael ancel in nintendo power mag about rayman legends: we wanted to have that atmosphere like in rayman1 and 2, but still have the humor and diolgue that rayman3 possesed
@Nsanity96 In my opinion, Rayman1 had a certain atmosphere that alot of people loved, in the sequels they kinda destoryed that atmosphere and made it a whole different kind of game, thats why so many people that loved the first game dont like the sequels. I loved rayman 1 and 2-3 was good, but its 2 completly different types of games.
FLANDRE! what did I tell you about blowing up random people their heads? You go to bed with NO DINNER young lady! Flandre: but daddy... *snivel* *Comforts Flandre*
isnt this Moskitos big brother or something weird like that? this dude is red in the eyes or something i i remember well, the one you save is pink and cuddly. i always assumed its small+big brother
er.. are they the little blue things or the green ppl?, i remember the little blue things there near a tree on one level but the green guys i can only remeber seeing a guy with a plum on his head lol, btw i played rayman 2 i think its better than revolution coz i wouldnt spend well £5 now but when it came out i wouldnt spend £30 on a game that has the same story.
in the original versions Moskito is red whislt Bzzit is pink. Rayman befriends Bzzit after defeating him and he returns in rayman revolution. Moskito is just evil to the end
@MrEliiz Not true. Rayman 2 still had that "magical" atmosphere that the first was able to convey. Rayman 3 was the one that lacked atmosphere, it focused way too much on trying to being funny and the plot suffered.
