Rayman was awarded best music in a CD-ROM game and rightly so. When you listen to this video and see what all these tunes mean to all these people you can see why. This just takes me straight back to my childhood! Thumbs up if you agree original Rayman is the best!
Are you sure Remi made that track? There was several composer for Rayman 1, i've heard he did not make this one... Officials Remi's song from various sources: Pink Plant Woods - Dream forest Blazing Brass - Mr Sax Eat at Joe’s - Lurking in the Darkness Entering the Cavern - Crystal Palace Moskito - Hold on tight Mr Skops - Never wake a sleeping scorpion Candy Chateau - Creepy Clowns The Magician Challenge - The Wizard Cloak of Darkness - Mr Dark Once More - Continue / Replay Theme Partie at Joe’s - Credits Theme End of the Line - Game Over Theme
Oh no me acabo enterar :c su música me hizo muy feliz de pequeño y hasta ahora me transporta a esas tardes jugando al rayman, hizo un trabajo increíble. Gracias maestro
You had a lot more time to spend doing the same stuff over and over when you were young, so you learned the levels almost by heart. Nowadays, well, you forgot everything and most likely give up after a while.
anaalinaama Largely because we have a lot less time to spend with games nowadays. Presumably at least. I know I hardly have any time at all nowadays for any kind of gaming, and I'm 21.
Oh my... I didn’t know the composer passed away a few weeks. Oh no. Well, I’m going to say it here then; This soundtrack is amazing. Harmony, first steps, Magician, and many more amazing tracks this guy made, and I’ll praise him for this. Rest In Peace, man.
Hina Face Well Crash Bandicoot is a bit hard but not impossible. THIS GAME THOUGH IT'S FREAKING HELL. Oh and trust me Band Land is one of the easiest worlds. Wait till you get to Art World -.-
***** Well there are cheats for the game. I managed to make it to Picture City (art world) but it was impossible to progress beyond that. Just look up the cheats for infinite lives
Hina Face I made it all the way to Skops the Scorpion once. Band Land and Dream Forest were never much trouble for me at all, but when I made it to Art World, I would almost always burn out on one of those next to impossible maneuver puzzles or a boss battle. I made it through Art World every now and then, but usually didn't make it much further beyond that.
the nostalgia is unbearable...i used to play this all day when i must have been around 5-6 years old and im 19 now, i loved this game with everything I had. I recently found my old gameboy and it no longer works :(

@@JoeTAC Hi there. I'm not sure. Being an adult is the realisation that the world ain't as great as it was when you were a kid playing rayman. I feel stuck in between being a mature adult and an irresponsible teenager. I'm confused. I resist the world. I just wanna go back and play Rayman. Peace
Nothing like a charming flute some banging drums and happy percussion music to bring back deep traumatic stress of memories of that level called Band Land.
Nostalgia:') My favorite song in Rayman. My favorite 2D platformer together with Super Mario World. I love this game, incredible atmosphere, great level design and a fantastic soundtrack.
This game was a real work of art. The worlds were so beautiful and creative and the game just had so much soul. The music is just so relaxing to listen to.
1st game ever played got addicted and look what i am now a gamer! this started it all without a doubt. the sense of adventure i got from this game cannot be described.

Holy fuck, if that recent leak for Rayman in Smash Bros is real, then there better be some good stage and/or music representation of the first Rayman game and also some of Rayman 2. Origins and Legends have a cool artstyle, but I don't want everything to revolve around those games. The original Rayman needs some love.
Dude I actually just came here to get this song, cause I was saying I'd love a level from this particular world in smash. It's probably the world I remember most from that game.
Rebellious Treecko Yes indeedly. Rayman seems to have ranked in 4th place in the early results of the ballot and yes this music needs to be in. Let's just hope :3
oz pardo Not Omni's fake, the ballot results. He placed rather high, but not that high. But considering that at this poin they're letting EVERYBODY get in smash...
This video can't really do this track justice especially the flute part, remember the drums that make a sound when you jump on them and the cymbals that play when you walk past? They really added to the magic.
What is it about this song? Rayman (GBA version) wasn't even my favorite game, yet... There was something about this level that I absolutely loved as a kid... Wait, nope, scratch that, Allegro Presto was the PERFECT level for my 8-year-old self. And just the first flute notes bring back so many memories.... The whole thing... is amazing. Literally the one GBA track that stuck with me after 10 years of not hearing it. Not even Pokemon had this kind of effect.
For saying this game is as old as it is...you can tell from this track alone how much work went into the game...damn!...companies don't take the time to make things like they used to.
This version is much better than the version of this theme I heard when I played the Rayman 1, mainly because I played a remake on the GBA, and this version sounds so much nicer than the 32-bit version!
Played this when I was 3 and 4, until I was around 11, never beat it. Finally, at 26, beat it for the first time. It was hard as hell still, but so much fun, this music makes me cry from nostalgia.
when you say you beat it, do you mean unlocking the secret final level or just doing everything up till there? either way congrats, i’m yet to even pass the blue mountains world myself lol
this is so beautiful. i'm turning 20 soon, and i feel like all good memories are dying. it's like my brain is just moving them to the part where all of the useless stuff lying. i don't know why but i can't feel nostalgia anymore. i feel like a potato with no feelings, and this is fucking me up. i can't remember memories like i could 4 years ago,i can't feel nostalgia when i play rayman like i could 4 years ago. i miss my childhood so much
This is one of the very very few tunes that has stuck in my head since I was a kid. Today I am a musician and huge fan of everything that is close to this kind of music. I just can't help it... It got to me then and guided me good music to this day. It's funny how a good tune from your childhood becomes somewhat a meaning of your life later on...
I was 11 when I played that game. My dad bought a joystick because I was ruining the keyboard but my dog ate the joystick, since then I never played again. It brings good memories, it was my favourite game.
For me, one of the best games ever!!! Rayman, Spyro, Gran Turismo, Hearth of Darkness, Digimon... I miss you... :'( Anyone have a time machine to go back in time, please!!!
i rember i was atleast 9 or 10 playing all these great ps1 games while everyone at school was playing halo and all that other junk that was in 2008 i still love the ps1 and all the games on it even this
I started searching for a Win98 midi video, then I ended up here thanks to the related videos. Awesome! I used to play this when I was small, and probably Band land has my favourite soundtrack of the game, and probably one of the bests of all games (for my taste). This game, as well as Tomb Raider, were my childhood.
This game is so pure and full of magical nostalgia!!!! They really need to Re-release this game!!! Literally re-release the 1st game all over again just like it was when it first came out, and make newer games just as amazing as the 1st. And of course, keep the original music, and create some new music that sounds just as amazing too!!!!!!! BRING BACK RAYMAN!!!!!!!
I LOVE THIS GAME! My first game as a kid! For anyone that still wants to play it and cant on the computer I recommend getting a PSP, you can go to the Playstation store on your psp and download it directly from there
I absolutely loved this game. I played it and beat it on my PC when I was in my mid teens. Don’t know how, because when I try playing it again now I don’t have the skills nor perseverance to go far. Definitely one of the best games I ever played. They rarely make them like this anymore.
