Naomi Thank you for sharing your story it follows my own lifes path I went to see Froggie in 1983 having seen him once in the 60s. He was playing Selly Park Tavern B.Ham every Sunday night this became a ritual for me to both see him and by his records I travelled 20 miles round trip and his music was in the house all the time . I saw him later at the Town Hall and what a fantastic night it was I took my Wife and her best friend and they also became big fans. My one big dream was that one day Raymond Froggatts name would be outside the Symphony Hall and of course this happened and another fantastic night my ,dream had become reality and memories for ever. The reason your dad and my paths follow is I to now have terminal cancer and reading your story I saw my own life story in a way. Raymond is not only a great singer songwriter but one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure to meet sadly he should have been a mega star in this country. If he had been Amercan he would have been as big as Neil Diamond and the likes instead of " Raymond Who " Just one more thing very few people know of the charity work he has done over the years a very Humble down to earth Lad from Aston B,Ham. Thank you again for your story it really touched me Love xxx Fred

My parents left Ireland to find work in the UK in the early 70's, I was 2 years old at the time. They settled in Small Heath, Birmingham for over 30 years, I lived in Birmingham for 40 years. We were watching a programme on Irish TV last year, when this song came on. They both loved it. I googled it and found out Raymond Froggatt was from Bordesley Green in Birmingham, such a small world?
My big bud and myself went to Morecambe to see Raymond on the 14 /6 / 2019 it was worth every minute on the road. We all are getting older but who cares that's life and the enjoyment of the evening took the arthritis out off us all I hope. Than Q. FROGGIE and Band .t
