Jen, nice review of a very good looking dart. The barrel looks interesting, but I don't know about that knurling. The knurls remind me of darts in the 80's. How did you like throwing them? Thanks and keep the reviews rolling.

Hey Mike, I'm definitely in agreement - I do think knurl can look a little outdated. I really don't mind the texture/feel of knurling (usually a little too aggressive for my personal liking), however the placement of that section being in the very front of the RVB Echo barrels was too far forward for me.

Hi there, loved the detail in the video. I'm a back grip player and I use short shafts. My darts tend to drop a bit in the back when they land in the board. So I'm kind of looking for a dart with a bit more weight in the front and a good grip on the back of the barrel. Any tips?

Our first thought is maybe try a scallop grip in the back and barrel that is overall front loaded. The front knurling section is sharper and the back half is very smooth.

They are not front loaded even with the subtle bomber shape. When the dart is fully dressed, the center balance point is almost the exact middle of the barrel. When it's barrel only, the center balance point is in the middle of the center smooth notch close to the front of the dart.

Yes quite a huge difference in texture since the RvB Echo has adopted the matte/sandblasted grip of the Echo series. The RvB Gen 4 has a more aggressive knurling grip intensity in the nose and smooth radial grooves throughout the back.
