I own the Huntsman Elite for one month now and the chroma settings are not working at all .. it doesnt show the effect I want and also profiles just dont work. Typing and all basic keyboard functions are working. Can someone help me ? Razer support isnt really helping and I am thinking about returning it

Huntsman elite uses opto mechanical switches that means its faster and the underglow makes the keyboard amazing but it doesnt have macro keys but still gonna go for the huntsman elite

Which switches are better for gaming? Yellow switches or optical mechanical

I have blackwidow v2 yellow, it's fast and silent. However, the soft actuation may be the reason why I easily mistype something as any small force can register a keystroke. I just owned it for a month or two, maybe after I have gotten used to it, it should be faster than any green nor orange switches.

Unfortunately the chroma v2 is not produced anymore, so I can't find it anywhere. And I prefer it over the huntsman elite because of the lights. I am not a pro gamer, so I am sure I wouldn't notice these speed or whatever other details. Therefor it is important that it looks nice, and the lighting on the chroma v2 looked way better. Is there an alternative now at the end of 2020? Some keyboard that has the lighting better than the huntsman elite or blackwidow elite?

I much prefer the Blackwidow v2, one of the reasons is that I do a lot of typing and don't really like the loud sound and neither do my discord friends, so I love how I can quieten them.

The fact that they keycaps are not fully replaceable is the most disheartening thing about razer / "gaming keyboards"... what's the point of having a metal chassis, when they cheap ABS keys are going to get worn down, glossy, and oily looking, and you can't change them all because the lower row uses a non-standard layout... If this wasn't the case, I'd throw my money at the huntsman knowing it's going to last me.

The opto mechanical switches are light and membrane feel for me, i thought they were good until i tried it in person. So glad i didn't pick something newer without testing it

razer was really smart by including a white face backplate below the switches, to maximize the shine and beauty of the backlighting, i have no clue why most other manufacturers don't do that, it's an aspect i always see myself commenting about backlit keyboards. even though i think razer products are generally overpriced and for that reason i tend to steer away from this brand when trying new peripherals, that would definitely be a factor to weight in favor for me to acquire the blackwidow v2, or a similar razer keyboard. but i don't buy peripherals or electronics very often, i'm still using the only 3 mice i own, the logitech mx518, the steelseries rival 300 and the intellimouse, they're still working perfectly after nearly a decade so i don't have any reason to acquire a new mouse, and i'm still using my iphone 5s and xperia z3 phones from 5 years ago, so you get the picture. plus i think the planet is suffering so much from modern capitalism and consumerism, mass production of superfluous products. so.. it's unlikely i will purchase a razer keyboard. that is something that i always complain about in keyboards, when the keyboard is all black, or worse still, metalic\matte grey, it completely kills the effect of the backlighting. my ajazz ak33 i chose the white version and the back lighting is stunning, and on my royal kludge g87 which is black, i modded it adding a white back plate, it looks so much better and as beautiful as razer rgb keyboards the only brand name keyboards i've owned are logitech, the old models, and they're better than razer ones imo [other than the rgb that razer does very well]. and i never owned any corsair keyboards and don't care for them [i've tried legit cherry mx switches and they aren't my thing, i prefer chinese clones or other brands]. but most of my keyboards i've built myself using chinese sets of switches, gateron, kailh, etc, and i always add a white backplate underneath the switches

Blackwidow for me, softer wrist-rest and even more important - dedicated macro keys. Why keyboard that costs like Huntsman elite doesn't have them is just beyond me. Regarding plastic, I have almost 5y old G900 (since it came out) and it's still like new even though it's made of plastic.

What is your desk set up? I'm trying to get a spacious desk that can fit a monitor, key board and mouse comfortably, and NZXT H700i Desk. I also want to make it L shaped for other work. What did you buy? How many did you buy and in what arrangement? Your table seems different than the one in the description. Well, the legs look different. Do you know any alternative to this desk because many reviews are talking about damaged when shipping. Thanks in advance!

I just think the lighting on the Blackwidow Chroma V2 is a liiiittle bit better. It just lacks the awesome underglow.

Would be nice if they volume knob was on the left so you didnt have to take your hand off the mouse to adjust the volume, brush size, etc

admit it. everyone saying in the comments that the blackwidow is better because it is cheaper etc, you would get the huntsman elite if you could. I recently upgraded my blackwidow v2 with green switches to the huntsman, and it looks so much cleaner and sexier than the blackwidow v2. also, I dont like the two bottom corners on the blackwidow v2.

I'm still rocking my original black widow ultimate (blue) from 2012. Trying to decide between these as an upgrade.

Both beautiful keyboards. They both sound so elegant. In my opinion no other brand for keyboards can compare to Razer. They are above everyone else.

What a waste they removed the macro keys from the Huntsman Elite. I love the clicky keys on it compared to the Corsair K100 although both uses optical mechanical keys, the K100 has linear switches. I had wanted the Blackwidow V3 for its wireless feature but in the end the Huntsman Elite won the day, with the added bonus of having RGB even on its removable wrist-rest!

I came because I'm wondering if I should get the Blackwidow Ultimate Classic or the BlackWidow Chroma V2. Currently, the Ultimate Classic is just over £59.99 (£60 off), while the Chroma v2 is £119.99 (£50 off). I've never actually really used a mechanical keyboard before, so I don't have a wrist rest and I don't really need the wide range of colours. Although, both of them have macro keys and the Chroma v2 is apparently orange and tactile and silent. If someone could help me out, then it would be very much appreciated.
