not really sure why you brushed off the razer's clearly superior lumbar support by saying "most likely people won't take advantage of it". I mean, just by sitting in the chair you're taking advantage of it. If you meant people won't adjust it at all, I don't think that's true. It's really the reason I'm considering the razer iskur. But this video has kind of swayed my opinion a bit making me reconsider secretlab. And no offense but it's really hard to trust you when you're sponsored by secretlab, so I really don't know what to do.
the point is...the better way to know how is better for you, is sitting in both chairs, i can find a few places here in japan to test the razer iskur, but i never have seen a unique secret lab to test! they just want to make you buy a product that u cant sit to feel!
You make a very great point! Lets take the biggest feature of the razer and say “But most people wont be using it anyway, especially if you dont have back problems.” 😑 If its functional, for sure ill be using it!
I've owned the iskur for nearly 14 months, it's junk period. Piston failed, welds are inferior and break. This is an honest assessment from a razer customer since the tarantula keyboard some 20 years now. But after razer support hassled me about a kown issue for over 2 weeks, they lost my support for that company
i dont agree that a lot of people wont use that lumbar system on the razer, i think that is one of the biggest selling features and that why i got one ordered :D
For anyone that comes across this video like I did. The Razer is $379 on Amazon while the Secretlab chairs are still going for $500-$529. So at these prices points which one would be better? If you’re on a budget go for the Razer. If you have money to spend and want to customize the look of your chair go for the Secretlab.
They are 50% off right now, and I was totally looking at the House of Dragon colorway from Secretlab. BUT the Razer Iskur at $299 was a quick buy for me.
I've been having back issues and the Razer Iskur has been a god send. If your priority is a chair that will help you improve posture and relieve back pain I'd definitely recommend it. If you're looking for pure comfort, I think there are better options.
Thanks for your comment. After working 2 yrs at home sitting in a wrong chair, my whole back (especially my lower) is suddenly killing me. I will give it a try.
@@johnroady9495 Got the Iskur yesterday, my lower back was also hurting me lately. I defientely feel that Iskur helps a lot, really recommend it, it supports the back perfectly!
got the same chair, if you like to lean forward in your chair or you don't like leaning back into it the lumbar support is awesome cause you can adjust it to be supporting your lower back even if you are leaning forward or over the keyboard. The arms also have like 5 points of movement which are great; up and down, in or out, swivel, forward or back, inwards or outwards. Its even great for relaxing and watching movies. One thing though if you fart it makes it sound 3x as loud or like you shat yourself.
Got same chair in fabric few days ago. I'm 5'7 tall and skinny, it fits me perfect, however neck pillow doesn't fit me properly, took it off. Lumbar support is really great, I'm not a gamer at all, but I'm sitting at the computer for 8 hours every day, it's just a great ergonomic chair. But if you are not skinny, I recommend trying first or to look at Iskur XL - seat on this model is narrow, it forces you to sit up straight.
I picked up the razer iskur for £270 and gotta say it's a fantastic chair. I'm also only 5.2ft and fit absolutely fine in this chair, if you have shorter legs and a smaller frame you can sit cross legged :)
"Unless you really have a back problem or really require a lumbar support... is not worth enough to be picked over secret labs" I mean... that's the whole point of the chair and the reason why I got it vs any other chair in the market. The chair forces you the sit in a proper position so you will be unlikely to develop back problems due to poor sitting positions. Guys it's no joke, if you spend so much time sit in bad positions your back will toss the bills in the future. I'm guilty of this, but after using this chair for a while now I tend to sit in the "proper" position due to my back getting used to it. I think is a fantastic chair, I got the gray fabric one so it blends with my setup. Can't go back to a crappy chair for sure.
I own the 2020 charcoal titan and was expecting alot more comfort for its price. Its like sitting on a chair made of plywood. I even removed the arm rests because they didn't go low enough for me. I'm above the height requirement for the titan so there's really no excuse for its lack of comfort. The lumbar support looks better on the 2022 model but I believe the padding material is the main issue. It's too stiff.
I have both the Enki X and the Titan and the Titan cushioning is FAR more firm than the Enki! Sitting on the Titan is almost like sitting on wood! I can handle it, and my cheap gaming chairs always bottomed out in a few months so I actually was sitting on wood anyway! But the Enki seat is quite soft in comparison. It however is too short and doesn't support my thighs enough, IMO. The Enki X is really well made but it just isn't very comfortable. It doesn't have enough thigh support and if you put the back of the chair in an upright position you feel like you're being pushed off the chair. Also the pivot to rock back is back further than most chairs so it's not comfortable to rock back. I hope I don't have to send it back though, that's too much trouble and I hate to have to make a delivery guy pick up a 50 lb box again. I don't miss the 4D armrests or the pillow at all. In fact, I never really move the armrests of my Titan and hate the stupid pillow, too. The Titan is huge in comparison. In fact it's probably too big. Sitting back all the way my knees almost hit the front edge of the chair. I'm 5'11" maybe I should have went with an Omega. But I still like it. It's like sitting in a tank! LOL! The cloth fabric on the Titan has held up great over time, it seems brand new and it overall looks as new except one of the armrests has a big wrinkle in it.
My whole reason for getting a gaming chair was for the support, and I love my Iskur, but if I had waited just a little bit more I could have gotten the fabric version. The lumbar support is AWESOME. It is a year later from the video... and RAZER has more than just the Iskur, and the Iskur now has 3 finishes, 2 sizes, and an option to drop the Lumbar support. They also offer the XL edition which can handle up to nearly 400 pounds and a version for taller people. I suspect that once I land a new job I'll make my current chair the "visitor" chair and buy the fabric model for daily use.
I did my homework for months and watched so many RU-vid videos and I owned so many gaming chairs…. Get a Secretlab if you care about look, but if you care about your nerd neck, back pain, good posture AND still have a badass look chair THEN get the RAZOR!! also I think it looks better and more elegant aggressive style and it hugs you well and it feels like you’re sitting in a luxurious sport car. My back never felt such relief with RAZOR. SecretLab quality is cheaper you can tell from the fabric, less material, short back and shoulder edges, Razor is better in every way possible and price & quality proves it. ALSO Razor offers XL version now and it will fit Shaquille O’Neil with ease.
if it wasn't for the dynamic lumbar , i woulda bought a house of Targaryen secret labs chair lol.. it was sold hard to choose but i want went the iskur and love it
I was going to go for a secret lab but wanted to try thing was I couldn't the only two places to try are sheffield or London I'm the opposite direction of both and travelling for a chair is a bit ridiculous. My local store had a razer iskur tried it happy. Amazed you can't try secret labs before you buy.
I bought the Secret lab Titan about 1 year ago, I usually sitt up to 5h at least a day on this chair. The lumbard feature is a joke, doesn't support anything and over all the chair is way to firm. I have a lower back problem and also a tailbone problem, the secret lab chair just makes the problems worse.
@@nolashtheartist No, It is not... I got Iskur XL and my coccyx is in pain daily because cushion is too firm and it feels like a solid rock... avoid it!
You deserve so many more subscribers. Your production quality and content are amazing, I was honestly so surprised when I saw that the number was below 100K. Anyways, you earned my sub :) keep up the good work! You'll be big, I know it.
Also just a suggestion but I've seen many other RU-vidrs section their video's timeline and label each section and I love it. I think you should consider utilizing this feature for your videos.
A few days ago I sat on the Razer Iskur, among many other 'office' and 'gaming' chairs at a popular retailer. I tried many for range of movement, adjustability, comfort, build quality and all that stuff and came back to the Razer Iskur time and time again. The store would only sell me the discounted "perfect but unboxed" one if I bought a warranty from them (not cheap!). I walked away and bought one online for $399. Can't wait for it to arrive!!
@@sittkukk8278 Sitting on it now! Yes, I do like it and my back is much better for it too. Thanks for asking. The Razer Iskur is definitely the right choice for me.
do you find it comfy? ive never rly had a bucket racer shapped seat before and not sure if ill find it uncomfy as i tend to play wth my feet up but recently my backs abit stiff
@@Adrian890722 yes indeed, i can't actually compare it with another gaming chairs but quality of every single inch and comfort are fantastic. U'll have only 1 problem with it, the box is huge and heavy (30.3kg).
Love the design of the razer one but I'll still take the titan for that grey fabric material. If razer would have done a mercury white/grey fabric one it would have been a 100% buy from me.
I just got the Iskur, the lumbar is on point! And you may not have back problems now young buck but you will, oh you will. The Razer comes in all black now as well. The Titan chairs are too flat looking.
@@baboom007 Wow, I got ripped the eff off lol Fuck me, yes I do still like it though. I'm a big dude and I wish it was a little wider. Big muscles not big overweight just to clarify.
@@k1r1n07 There was no XL version when I ordered mine and they came out with the fabric material a month after I got mine. I'm a little bent about both of those as I would have ordered the XL in cloth. I might see if I can sell it and get the other one. I don't mind paying good money for a great chair, I sat in crappy ones at work for decades, have bad back issues and now work at home so it's worth it.
Thank you for this review! I'm struggling with sizing, and am leaning towards secretlab. I'm 5'2" and weigh 145 lbs. I prefer to use the pillow near my neck. Also, I'll be sitting in it all day (desk job). Would you recommend this chair for me? How can I measure the arm rests? Sometimes they are too high making my shoulders scrunch up.
That's tough, but if you want to go with this style of chair I'd say choose the Omega. The arm rests are really adjustable, "4D adjustable." Its also the smallest of the bunch which should fit your height better. SecretLab's website has exact measurements of the chairs if you do some looking around. Something that might work better for someone spending a lot of time at a desk could be a ergonomic office chair, might I recommend a Herman Miller (used around $400, new around $1200).
@@JohnSmith-yy2uj Thx! I ended up getting the Omega. I got it weeks earlier than the site suggested, and I LOVE it. It fits perfect and keeps my posture straight. I'm so happy with it and my husband is jealous.
Its a firm seat, but pretty comfy.i'm 1m77 and 73 kg.fits me as a glove. i got it so id be able to walk after a long gaming session.so i didnt expect a plush sofa.but if im going to watch a movie,i ll be in my sofa rather than be in the chair.its perfect as long im occupied if that makes sense.
i loved my iskur i actually love the black and green color and the ergonoics cause i want to situp straight, more for reading and working than for gaming but ok
do you find it comfy? ive never rly had a bucket racer shapped seat before and not sure if ill find it uncomfy as i tend to play wth my feet up but recently my backs abit stiff
@@Adrian890722 i gotta tell you it is not a soft chair, some of my family members find it a hard surface, but i like that is robust, and it does not lean to the sides, since i use it for coding, but i have fallen asleep on the chair when i recline the seat back and raise my feet
I bought the Joker Omega, I prefer the shape of the base than the Titan, it hasn’t arrived yet, it’s now 6 days late haha. I never seen the Razor before, it’s a beautiful looking chair.
The iskur isn’t bad for short sessions, but for long play periods, it’s almost intolerable to set on with how firm it is. At this price you shouldn’t need to consider buying a cushion.
I bought the Razer Iskur and was disappointed, if your like me and have larger thighs the chair is just so narrow it actually hurts the sides of my legs when sitting in it. Now my 15 year old loves that this was not a good fit as he is the proud owner and it fits him like a champ!
I’ve had the titan joker edition since 2021, honestly thinking of swapping to razer. I’m not sure why the hype on these chairs, they’re hard asf and 4 years I’m still expecting a “break in” period to finish so the comfort starts. I game for HOURS daily weekly monthly yearly, this was kind of a let down for the 700$ SL asked for. Durable asf, it still looks brand new, just is NOT comfortable in any way shape or form for long periods of use.
I’ll also say blatantly. Razer makes things just to say we can do that too, and most times is junk bc it’s a 1 and done and never spend money for R&D to improve on it, hence why they’re all peripherals and fans and that’s it, I hope they continue the chair line improvements but I’ve bought backpacks for 120$ from Razer that’s fallen apart like a 13$ Walmart bag in just a few weeks too. Weary of Razer but I do like their mice & keyboards lol
@CALEB NG RAE YANG HCI smoother and softer is because is thinning. Peel warranty is only 3 years, not 5. And when they say warranty, it does not the additional service fee and the hassle for them to replace yr chair. Good luck in a few years time
@CALEB NG RAE YANG HCI cause i owned a SL chair for 1.5 year and it peeled like shit. The chair is shredding leather bits and it looks disgusting. Aside from gaming chair, there are many other ergonomic chair that are comfortable than SecretLab. And to clarify, I understand the chair is comfortable for many buyers. What I am criticizing its is quality and the leather they are using. I am not sure why you sound personal, maybe you are working for SL, but I am just sharing my experience. And when someone ask me if they should buy, of course i will comment and not recommend it.
There's a million cheap average gaming chairs but I'm glad SecretLab puts out a more premium product. I would like to see an even more premium gaming chair put out by someone maybe costing $600 or more.
@@11BCampbell11 I looked at the Herman Miller and Steelcase chairs but I don't like office chairs compared to gaming chairs. I don't know what it is but gaming chairs just seem to envelope you and are more comfortable for lounging and game playing. Office chairs are good for sitting and typing but they don't make you feel comfortable, IMO. One thing I hate is that the back reclines separately from the seat. That just seems weird and uncomfortable/insecure to me for some reason. I was thinking of the HM Embody or Aeron. I actually bought a Aeron clone and didn't like it at all. I really don't like the mesh. The Embody looks nice but it's like $1800 when my SecretLab Titan is a much better chair for me. Thanks for the suggestion!
Does the back rest have the tiniest bit of give when you sit back into it, or lean forward? not sure if its supposed to do it, or mine is broken? would love someone else to check theirs! Thanks
If you put the Razer chair to the maximum height and sit on it, is it the same height as the Omega at maximum as well or do you sit higher in one of them?
Most people even looking for a "gaming" chair are well, gamers. Who are prone to back issues. You say most people won't use it and haste over that feature. however that's biggest selling point, moreover a chair actually built for people with these issues and not just another generic bucket seat racer
Iskur user , disagree with you , the lumber support is the best system and even for non back pain user , it keeps you on the right and correct position , I guess you never used hr iskur too long and feel the system before you give the review
I got my Razer Iskur in a few days ago. I'm ... mixed on it (which isn't great for a $500 chair). It's really REALLY firm. And as this video suggests, it sort of forces you to sit in certain ways - which can be good or bad. I feel like the bulk of my gaming time so far is spent thinking about how to properly sit in the chair to feel 'comfortable'. I'm on the taller side, so perhaps I'm just out of it's recommended range. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it at this point.
How is you chair now after 3 months. I am thinking of buying it since my lower back hurts as hell...Did you adopt and have positive feeling now? I am thinking Herman Miller instead and a little more money, but i have to bought it abroad, since in my country only Razer is on stock and i can get it asap...
@@matt7232 I've really warmed up to it. I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it the first week or so, then after that I settled into it and I think it's pretty great. I don't have any back issues or anything. My only 'issue' is that it's a little bit creaky. I thought it would be something that would have gone away by now, but it hasn't; I don't think it's anything impeding the performance or longevity of the chair - but it's my only gripe that it creaks a little bit when repositioning yourself. I also wish the arm rests were a bit longer. I feel there's too much space between them and my desk during normal use - it is notably shorter length than my previous chair.
do you find it comfy? ive never rly had a bucket racer shapped seat before and not sure if ill find it uncomfy as i tend to play wth my feet up but recently my backs abit stiff. Also have you tried getting foot rest from amazon? they do like foam roller type ones, this might make it better when you want to recline more and play.
@@Adrian890722 I very much do. I will say the bucket seat isn't as wide/flat as some of it's competitors. It hugs a bit more, so depending on body type it may be less favorable than the larger flat seat of the SL Titan. I almost always have my feet up in a slightly reclined position (esp when playing games) - I have kitchen stool that's the perfect height to elevate my feet to an ergonomic position while still going comfortably under the desk.
i got the isskur especially because of the lumbar support i am sitting more then 10 hours a day and i am not having any back problems anymore also the looks man also also its razers SECOND chair ;)
@@baboom007 i like it and for me it is the only cheap alternative to a 1600$ herman miller chair... i had a broken middlepart after a few month but got a new chair from amazon support on razer side was super nice aswell... so i'd still recommend it if you cannot afford herman miller if you can go for the herman miller since it has more features
