@@SubLimation7 I've had my death adder for 9 years. Nearly 10. Only thing that doesn't work is the middle mouse button. Middle mouse scroll works fine just mb3. Would have the blackwidow keyboard from the same time but spilt drinks on it numerous times
@@nobody_somewhere Why do you have "many razor products", if you dislike them so much? xd Don't get me wrong, I don't own any razor products, I just think it's funny.
@Yeti Confetti it is a joke that started on wan show when he forgot to add some stuff to the doc but then he accidentally copyright striked the entire channel and Linus said he was fired. Colton didn't know if it was true or not and he just kept working. Now it's a running gag
@@nobody_somewhere so I gotta ask: would you recommend Razer products? I couldn’t quite nail down your feelings from the MASSIVE, HATEFUL WALL OF TEXT YOU WROTE.
Dude, Colton's chair reviews are the best: Hi, this is a [ color ] chair, it's neat, has [add all the specs], it is comfortable? Meh. Thanks for viewing!
@@laerin7931 racing style chairs are just dumb. They're usually poorly made & priced for hype. You'll always get more bang for your buck & better ergonomics in an office chair. People have been making office chairs designed to be comfortably sat in all day for decades!
@@bbbbbbb51 Yeah, it's kind of the same deal as with "gaming headsets". They are often way worse than dedicated headphones made by companies that have been making headphones for decades.
@@bbbbbbb51 use a SecretLabs Titan for 2 years and tell me you still think that way :). Better then ANY office hair I have ever used (and I have been using them for a LOT of years).
"Razer, if you want to hire me as a designer, I could apply." Oh, Colton. The only way you'd leave LTT is if Linus fired you. And what are the chances of _that?!_
@@pandasdreamlygon Mesh chairs cost a shit ton of money though and don't start me with the used Herman miller chairs because that only works in the US and even then you have to search like crazy to find one in good shape.
"Designed for everyone, you can sit in all day and still be comfortable. That's their target market." Shouldn't that be every chair manufacturers goal? 😂
companies convince bosses to get lower quality chairs because they promote movement and therefor health, which only a desk with sit/stand modes can fully accommodate afaik
@@AtomikMenace yes because you have sat for at least 5 hours in every chair you've sat in for your whole life. You've never sat at a dinner table whose chairs' primary purpose is aesthetic. You've never sat in barbers chair, a bar stool, a park bench, a dentist's chair, a middle seat in a car, a folding chair, etc. No, you have only ever sat in high quality office chairs. Even when you're on the bus, you bring your heavy, large ergo chair because that's the only way chairs should be made.
I will never own another gaming chair. Albeit mine was a cheap no brand name thing off Amazon for a birthday gift from my mother. It was... A downgrade...
--- @@TheRealDrCube It really just depends on branding alongside the chair itself. But definitely the branding tends to make the prices to skyrocket. The (no-brand-name and no leather) "Synchro Ergo"-mesh--office-chair when bought via a furniture store called "Masku" goes for ~300€ nowadays and the price really hasn't been fluctuating these past five or so years ( I just personally was able to get mine for 200€ since the shop needed clearance and this was a fully-assembled display / demo-unit ). (( And yeah: I know, I know, me mentioning this chair is quite trite at this point how many times I've mentioned this chair; I've just yet to find anything better for my needs though. )) ---
@@botondzsigmond5345 I will say, for someone who spends a lot of the day in a chair (especially during quality) a good chair is an investment. Not worth like 700 tho xD
I love how Colton stated early on "That's where the instruction just go out the window!" and then proceeds to put the entire chair together WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! LOL
I guess David has always been pretty beefy, but my man looking yoked! Watching him mash those casters into place I was like damn my dude, take it easy over there. Linus jacked tips, amirite?
Okay this is packaged EXACTLY like Secret Lab, which makes me think they either copied the manufacturing of Secret Lab or they are using Secret Lab to fab these chairs on their behalf. Even the instructions are 90% identical
odd they name the chair after the sumerian Mischievous god of wisdom, water, magic and creation .... next chair will be called enlil for gamer girls ....
Word of advice: Don't buy the Enki X. I did a year ago, and it is honestly horrible. Without being able to recline, it's disgustingly uncomfortable to lean back. Also, no head pillow makes a huge difference. Also, when I did my research into the Enki X, it was advertised as having adjustable arms and it doesn't go into great detail about what can be adjusted, so thankfully this video tells you about that.
this is the only truth spoken in this entire video n comment section....i cant even count how many mice, headsets and keyboards i gone through over the years. 2 years ago i switched to Logitech and i havent replaced anything of there's yet...
Why are you reviewing this? It's just another rebadged cheap and crappy gaming chair. This is probably made in the same factory as about 50 other brands of identical chairs, except for different stitching. There's literally no reason to highlight this overpriced junk.
Oh man, this bullshit (payed I guess) advertising! Quote "This is a chair, which is designed so you can sit all day in it." You don't say shit!? Isn't that the only purpose of a chair?
What they paying you over there? getting slightly tilted at the repeated "for a cheap chair..." That ain't cheap IMO - I know there are more expensive chairs, but that doesn't make this one cheap.
NGL I have the Enki and it is the best "gaming" chair I have ever owned, and mostly for the reasons hit on here. The wide base: every other chair I had before had a taper at the thighs of the seat that pushed on my legs, which means discomfort. The pillow: great shape, more supportive than others when reclining, but not needed for straight up. The cushion: sure it is less "plush" but you actually want a tougher cushion for an all day chair (especially noticeable after WFH post-COVID).
love my enki. worth every penny. had it for almost a year and its so solid. everything metal and very adjustable except the lumbar but the lumbar is perfect for me and probably most. ill let you in on a secret though. i ordered it from amazon and said the chair never got here. amazon has some crazy policies so yeah i got it for free. i would buy it for 400 tho for sure i wasnt even sure if the amazon thing would work so i was ready to drop the money. not to mention if you buy from their website you get a free %65 keyboard worth $170. dont know if its any good but sounds like a steal seeing as the chair is worth 400 already.
@@Skipperthekitty Yep, still riding the Enki, and it is still the best desk chair I have owned. The bottom cushion has held up wonderfully. The leather has very minor wear. The only issue that has popped up as it is aging is the hydraulic cylinder is starting to lose its firmness. It tends to need to be reset to the optimal height every other day or so. This is pretty normal wear though.
@@DoubsGaming As someone who has owned one for a full year, it feels pretty good, but I don't have a reference point, like a good office chair to compare it to.
Design-wise, it feels like a rebranded DX Racer chair (I have a DXR for bigger guys). I've adapted mine with a fleece fabric cover and a pillow for an added seat cushion. The steel frame, while great for support, is excellent at aggravating the damaged discs in my lower spine (L1 to S2). The fleece is because the chair's finishes aren't necessarily suited to gaming shirtless and / or without pants on. 😳😲🤣
Don't buy the chair if you're tall, I'm getting really bad back pain and thinking that there was a 30 day return period rather than the 14 they actually have has screwed me over. Other than that it's great if you're short and the quality and materials are great.
Bought the Iskar about 3 days ago, the lumbar support is priceless for the sitting/leaning forward gamer. My lower back is very comfy while I'm in a forward position. I never recline while gaming or on the pc, only watching movies
The whole "trying to fix that it's $499" bit is kinda undercut by the fact that the Enki is in fact $499 on Amazon and the Enki X is $399, not $399/$299 as stated in the video.
I wonder how long the fake leather lasts. My Maxnomic chair's leather started peeling after 4 years and after 5 years I bought a SecretLab chair with softweave. I really wish Secret lab would have this Razer Enki lumbar support because the lumbar cushion included is too thick for my taste but without it I feel bad. Razer seems to have created a very good chair this time.
So I've had this killabee massage gaming chair for almost a year and have been very happy with the comfort and the price. Maybe y'all could look at that for some kind of budget chair round up.
i work everyday with office furniture, and i have to say i am impressed about this chair with the adjustability. If i have to complain about something, then i would say the armwrists are too small and that you can't slide the back of the chair more backwards. Our cheapest NPR certificated office chair costs around $500 .. I also don't like the cover for the gasspring, it just looks so cheap. For the casters it depends on the floor what is the best to use. This is laminate, so a softer caster like this is great. On carpet it doesn't roll that well, and you are better off with harder plastic casters
The tilt on this thing is crazy, that would be nice to have on more regular office chairs. for the price its made of too consumable of materials, its not gonna wear as nicely as some more hard wearing chair fabrics / alcantara / leathers. $500 is also approaching the point where I'd expect the seat pan to remove for easy cleaning, at office chair prices I'd want more feature parity tbh
For that price point I expect more, way more considering the Quality Razer usually has they should sell it for less than 200, because those chairs tend to be as good or better.
What about showing us the other Razer chairs that are made for the International markets like the Razer Tarok Essentials, Razor Tarok Pro, and the Razor Tarok Ultimate Gaming Chair they range in prices of 250-400 AUD
I bought one for 150euro a year ago, spend 8-10 hours a day in it and with a couple of mods (i put an outside dining chair cushion on and a towel over it) it's been an absolute tank of a chair. Fuck paying 100's of dollars/pounds/euros for something because of the brand name when we all know they all do the same thing underneath.
Start checking out the more expensive ergo options from brands like Herman Miller and Steelcase. See if the exorbitant price is worth it over something in the $500 range.
The Razer Enki chair is a major disappointment. The poorly designed waterfall edge causes serious discomfort after just a few hours. It can create pressure points that may lead to circulation issues, even affecting the feet. Don't be fooled by the sleek look - this chair is an ergonomic nightmare. Save your money and your health by choosing a different option.
Warning: Lumbar support is way, way too low. It only fits well when seat is reclined like 25%. If you like to sit upright it will dig into your pelvis and it cannot be adjusted. This is VERY uncomfortable chair if you do not like slightly reclined position.
Gaming chairs are joke. They are designed after a racing seat which in no way is made to be comfortable or even ergonomic, it is made to hold your meat sack of a body in place while taking high g-force lateral turns. STOP GIVING THESE JUNK DESIGNS CAMERA TIME.
I have the exact same chair except mine has a sliding lumbar support, t's fabric not fake leather and it doesn't have the "Razer" logo. Mine cost USD $169 delivered..... in New Zealand. Go on, pay the extra $100 for a Razer Logo and less lumbar support options 🤣😂🤣😂👌
See my issue with most of these chair companies is I don't see where they cater to larger sized individuals who are above "A buck 50" (150lbs) Like I won't lie I'm a thick fella and I want to see someone like for instance Anthony from the LTT group who's larger much like myself. WITH ALL DUE RESPECT to Anthony I would never said anything disparaging about him I love the guy....BUT someone like Anthony should be on these vids testing these chairs as well who can truly represent the bigger men community. Other than that the vid was great
Too bad Razer jacked up the Canadian pricing. The Enkei is $599 CAD in Canada. $399 USD to CAD is $493.88 Which means Razer is charging a $100 premium for the chair for Canada which is honestly just shit
Be glad you don't have the EU regulations mandating that the castor wheels have braking applied when there's no weight in the chair, because let me tell you, those F*CKING brakes on the castors are pretty much always on. They'll roll smoothly about once every 100 times you try to move the chair while sitting in it and the rest of the time they're frozen solid. I'm a chonky boi too, so it's not like there's no weight on the chair. 200+ pounds of load should qualify as someone sitting in the chair, methinks, at least in Europe. EDIT: IKEA, you owe me for a new floor for making me slide around on locked up castor wheels!
It's En-Ki. Not Ahng-ki. This ain't Anker either. It's En-Ki. Like the letter N, followed by Ki. And not Ki like Kite. But Ki like Keeeee. So it's N-Keeeee. There, for the Americans, all together: N-KEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Why people are still buying gaming chairs is beyond me. You can either get an equally comfortable and quality office chair for $50, or a much higher, extremely comfortable office chair that is miles beyond what this will even get close to being for that same $300. It's such a scam...
As a note to gaming chairs: They are pretty much all garbage, they're all buying the same chair and slightly customizing it, it's not a good chair for one's posture while being overpriced, get a normal office chair instead, your back will love you for it. Important with a chair is: - lumbar support - arm rests elbow height and can adjust so they are inline with your table Gamersnexus did a nice gaming chair review once, highlighting how bad they are.
Not for everyone in the side says "FOR GAMES BY GAMERS" generic gaming chair have most components build in the same factory. get a good office chair and gets cheaper and better for the body
They're probably actually trash. I own two Haworth Fern chairs and have used the "Logitech" gaming one and several other chairs from Herman Miller. All of them are inferior to the Fern. I'm a software developer and probably sit in my chair 12 hours a day.
It's a $400 chair. Why would i expect great rolling wheels, right? That's less than $500. I think you spend too much time hanging around with Jeff Bezos over there..
Oh my gosh the name is absolutely painful. My brain is whack and literally replaces "Enki" with "Friend of high status". I love my brain. But hey, good review!
Don't get this trash, get a $150 ergo chair from anywhere like Staples, Office Depot, etc.. Your back will thank you. Racing chairs are absolutely garboni.
So i have this question, if ENKI is called ENKI, then what does ongkey called? What about ENglish? Is it onglish or english? If thats the case, what how do we promounce inky?😳
