i picked itup at the 50% off sale for CES, at 70 bucks its almost a steal for what you get. no latency wireless is what i got it for, along with all those nice tactile buttons on the side, and a tilt wheel. I would say its worth more than what i paid for it.
Orsyx Gaming your good at stating obviouse things, ware did you pick up that skill? It must come in handing when you want to sound and act like an idiot on the internet ! C:
I own this mouse. I got it during the CES half off sale for 70 bucks. I was saving up for it anyways so it was a no-brainer for me at the time. I LOVE THIS MOUSE. I honestly cant find a single thing I don't like about it. And I'm not a razer fanboy either; I haver 7 + gaming mice from different companies and this is my favorite by a LONG stretch. I also have used several mechanical keyboards and I find the k70 to be my favorite ATM. (so my opinions are based on what fits MY needs not the brand.)
UniCrafter No I actually won the k70 from a raffle but sold my 2013 black widow for it. because I liked it way better. rgb would be awsome then i could match them to whatever color I want. but college students cant be choosy now can we :P
Congrats on actually managing to purchase something during that sale. I was almost sure that everybody that got what they wanted used bots to place orders.
Who’s here waiting for the new naga “pro/ultimate” release tomorrow? Amazing they had all this shit back when this came out lol. Who knew this even existed
Owned a 2012 Razer naga and been using it up till this day.. I LOVE it. I play World of warcraft alot and I literally cannot play without this device. If you play ANY mmo id highly HIGHLY recommend a Naga. Doesn't have to be this expensive one.. But any naga will do! Best MMO mouse. Period
So after 5 years of use, I can say the Naga Epic Chroma (At least mine) was built well. The sensor still functions as it did on day one, all of the buttons are still working, and even the RGB works as it should. As for the shell, it has gotten any scratches on it after being dropped 3-4 times. The pads still glide very well and the rubber is still intact. Overall I'd give it a 8/10. I'll probably be getting the Viper soon because I don't play many MMOs anymore, so i hope it will be a good upgrade.
I'm here watching this because I'm in the market for the Naga Pro. Wild to see they basically had all the same tech so many years ago, down to the charging dock. I never knew this particular Naga even existed.
Correction, the original naga Epic was 130$ It was price cut to 90$ after the release of the naga epic chroma. I prefer the old naga epic, it has better grip options and ergonomics.
I bought one of these for video editing. I've set the side buttons to the keyboard shortcuts, it saves heaps of time and keyboard yoga. Badass. It's not mentioned in any reviews, but the connection between mouse and base is magnetic. What I'd like to know, is why the base is so damn heavy. Does it have a battery in there to charge the wireless n mouse whilst the computer is switched off? If not, why not.
does this mouse still have the rubber feel to it?? I had the naga epic before and broke it just wondering if this is mostly the same mouse thanks and good video!
Would this be a good Mouse to use for CS:GO? My main question is, can I set the side buttons to the different items like primary, secondary, grenades, knife, etc.? Also does this work with macs?
Quick question, does the charging dock need to be plugged in at all times for the mouse to work? I want to go complete wireless but with the 12 button feel the Naga has
Why do you push the mouse button with the tip of your finger? I find it a lot easier to push it with the bottom part of the finger. Might not be as easy with claw grip but at least the wheel won't scroll.
Wait so the two buttons below the scroll wheel? Can only be used to change dpi settings? Or csn it also be used to game as well. I am confused. Can someone help me out ?
Hi, I'm conducting a survey for a project I'm working on, and would appreciate your answers to these 3 questions: 1. What do you most want to improve about your current computer? 2. What worries you the most about your current computer? 3. What would you do with your 'DREAM' computer? Thank you for your time and input.
1. Replace my old hard drives with new and larger ones. 2. Component failure (Well my videocard, the MSI GTX770) it's rare but still worries me a bit to have a backup of my important files and such. 3. Play all of my favorite classic games without worrying about compatibility.
Razer and especially Naga is the only way to go. Used the first generation for 6+ years and only sold it to upgrade to the better grip (and some of the wireless). Treat the mouse and it WILL serve.
+Viktor “Icon” Vad i have to say spending the money to go the chroma for side click mouse wheel. and maybe a bit better grip. does not seem like it is worth it.
I had this mouse before I got my Naga Trinity (my favorite atm) I was forced to use this mouse corded because no matter what I tried to do, the mouse would just randomly move, sometimes a half or a full screen’s length at times. I tried everything from a complete software reinstall to a windows clean install and nothing would keep it stable for cordless mode. Could I have just had a bad wireless component in there, or was this thing EXTREMELY sensitive to interference from other things on the 2.4 GHz band?
HardwareCanucks hey im looking into a mouse for MMO games but i have big hands probably as big as the hands in the video (not sure if yours or not XD) would you say its comfortable to use with big hands? Please reply when you can and thanks in advanced btw awesome vids!!
@Malevolence2012 what do u recommend im in the new mouse market n high dpi and red led cause my build also look for a red led mechanical keyboard any recommendations? Thanks man
This is not a "first of its kind" wireless Naga mouse as the review seems to imply. The original Razer Naga Epic (circa 2012-ish?) was also wireless and also featured the same kind of "chroma" lighting with the same limited number of lighting options. Even the wireless setup (with the large base station that also doubles as a charger) is pretty much the same. Frankly, about the only major difference between the two Naga Epic versions are the 12 buttons on the side, which on the original Epic were flat. This version might also be a little wider than the original Epic, which is overall a good thing because the original was a bit on the thin side for my hands.
I personally like this mouse even though there is a lot of hate out there. I would not have bought the mouse if it was $140, but I did find a new one on eBay for just $75
I've been through three of these mice. Only one of the three didn't have constant cursor jumping problems or clicking and dragging issues. And that was only when it was wired. After about 2 years of owning my first one which only worked properly when it was wired, I got a second. RMA'd that after a short while and got a replacement with the same issues. I have tried this on several different computers, wired and wirelessly, Synapse open and Synapse closed. This mouse is VERY unreliable - at least in my experience. They need to fix a couple things on this mouse and it would be perfect.
R0K99 As far as the wireless versions go this sensor should be quite a bit better. The shape of the buttons looks more easy to use as well, though I didn't own the original. By capabilities of wireless+many buttons+ >8k sensor this one looks good yet overpriced.
xyanide.wav I've got the OG epic. The sensor is great and honestly the 3.5G sensor's 5600dpi is overkill already and has no acceleration making it as good as it will ever need to be. Only difference I think matters in the epic chroma is the new mechanical side buttons as the OG nagas buttons are slightly mushy.
Are there any other mice with those twelve buttons on the side because I'm not likening this one I own at the moment but I really need the twelve buttons on the side for mmos
I have bought 3 Nagas so far and all of them had tracking issues while my Deathadder always works perfectly. I first bought the 2014 Naga and then bought an epic chroma that got broken in 1 month, replaced it and still got the same issue with the las one.
I used the same surface for both of them and I have calibrated the surface on Synapse. Most of the time the tracking issue only happen when in wired mode.
I had my naga epic chroma since 2015... still works but I had to get the trinity because of the upgraded sensor. The quality razer provides is good imo.
Have an original naga, still my favorite mouse ever. Definitely a necessity to anyone that plays MMO's, but i also love the side buttons for choosing weapons in FPS. Review here mentions using this in Diablo 3...why the hell would you? Only reason I can think of is if you have one hand to play the game, either by necessity or choice.
The sensor on this mouse is quite bad when running wirlessly, it WILL mess up (jittery movement) at times and nothing you can do about it but plugging it in.
I'm just sitting here going "The Naga Epic I have now (which isn't the Chroma, at least it wasn't advertised as one when I bought it) has RGB lighting, with static and spectrum cycling lighting modes just like this one. It has wireless capability, and quite frankly the only difference I see is the tilt scrolling, which I can't do with mine... Can someone please try to help me with my confusion? Have I bought the Naga Epic Chroma without knowing it??
***** Because im not a professional league player, I don't currently know what I would assign all those mouse macros for, as im quite comfortable with using keyboard keys so I don't see any reason I would need macros.
can someone pls help me or give me ideas on how to fix my mouse. it is the same one as in the video. every time i use it im moving it around and it just stops randomly and wont let me move it. idk why this is happening or how to fix it and it is very annoying and i havent been able to use it. is the censor broken or something?? someone pls help me and give me ideas on how to fix it.
i have it... anyone else have it jumping around and pausing by itself mid game for no reason at all? im 5mins away from throwing it out the window, its been 6months of trial and error
He said if your into fps games its useless, but thats not true I use it for cs:go and its amazing, I can switch weapons and throw grenades so fast, so don't be scared to buy this mouse if you play fps games.
I had the mouse for 2 years. The little electronic board that controls the charging broke and it stoped working, even when pluged in. A small resistor exploded. It is a smd part and i couldnt fix it since it burned through the circuit board. Called razer for a replacement part and they didnt even want to hear about my problem because it was out of warranty. For the price i paid... I expected a little more respect from the company. Never going to buy razer again and i recommend everyone to stop buying their over-expensive crap.
My g9x had chroma led, now my g502 doesn't...annoying. Led colors for profile change visual confirmation should frankly be standard on any gaming level mouse.
