100% recommend this mouse for those that don't mind not having tilt scroll wheel and rgb ligtning on snake logo. They clearly focused on lightweight, also (NO DOUBLE CLICK OR other issues and i have been using daily since January) theres just simplicity with this one and i use it for mmos, mobas and fps. Razer showing they are ahead of the competition since all the other mmos mices are just way too outdated at this point and yeah i did my research the only other mmo mice possibly rivaling is their own razer naga pro but thats also not really comparable since its the pro version hence more expensive and more features. This is a Naga but with all the new tech from razer and i finally have a worthy replacement for my still working Razer naga molten core edition from 2012.
I have ordered this mouse to replace my aging Naga Molten too. I don't know how I'm gonna get used to not having the mouse 4 and 5 at the side of the mouse 1 button. I couldn't find any mouse (with good software) that has these 12 side buttons along with the two buttons next to the left button. Oh well I'll have to get used to it lol
@@bisztriz i feel you, i waited so long for a new MMO mouse until they released Razer Naga X . I tried Corsair scimitar MMO, SteelSeries, Logitech their old fat MMO mouse etc and ended Up returning alot of mices because they all didnt feel right even problem with THE hardware quality and software. THE Razer Naga TRINITY was a DISASTER in terms of quality so i was very sceptical at first when ordering My Razer Naga X but am so happy i did because it works great. Razer literally won me back just because they even considered updating the Naga series with all their improved tech, could have been Logitech or any other company i just want a good working device for My needs. Hopefully it works out for you Much Love
I agree, when u buy this mouse you don’t want an fps style side button. Also I have had so many problems with the side buttons not functioning on the adjustable naga models
I actually switched from the Trinity to the X when I heard about it being 85g. I have pretty bad RSI and the weight on the Trinity was too much for me. Plus, the mice I usually use for FPS generally weigh around 50-60g, so going back and forth to the Trinity always felt jarring and unnatural. The Naga X is definitely a huge step up for me, it's so much more useable for long term use.
Great review! Really informative. A 9 minute review with 9 minutes of great info. Many others will make a 9 minute review with 4 minutes of info and 5 minutes of nonsense. Keep it up!
to be honest, the naga is a mouse that you can use for anything, i own a naga x right now, and i barely play mmo's (im too used to the buttons, ive had this kind of mouse for ages) and the buttons are usable in everything, even battle royale's and fps's, i use some of the buttons for builds in fortnite, others for my hot bar in everygame, you can bind them to abilities, or you can macro them, the mouse is helpful, not that heavy, and well made, no noticeable delay, and good design, if you have small/slow hands and hate reaching for keys on a keyboard, just use the 12 buttons on the mouse, 9/10 i reccomend
Just bought this and im using it to Alex Legends. Works super great as i can bind my abilities and heals on the side panel. So works good for FPS Battle Royal as well. At least for me 😊
Removing the tilt shift is a deal breaker. Here i can get the trinity for the exact same price as the X so its a no brainer. Time to get the Trinity AGAIN. My last one broke after a year but I got my money back.
This will be my first Naga and I’m ok with the shortcomings. Don’t care about tilt wheel or changeable side buttons. With Wrath Classic and the way I’ll have to change my binds or fit new ones in, this will hopefully solve my headache. Good review thx.
weight is actually an important thing. My hand starts to hurt literally in half an hour if the mouse is heavy. 100+ grams in past models was a real stop factor
super important actually. I tried going back to an MMO mouse after playing with a few ultralight mice, and I just couldn't. I ordered the naga X because at least it is 85g. The Trinity is stupid heavy
I would have liked to have either left and right wheel tilt buttons or shoulder buttons of some sort, but the weight may make up for it tbh. This seems like a great all purpose mouse maybe, mmos and rpgs but also fps
I don’t know why people want the wheel to move left and right. It’s just a feature. Yeah it might’ve been new and exciting, but not worth a purchase just because the scroll wheel moves left and right 🤷♂️.
Great review, I was nicely suprised! Thanks for making this one, it seems it's the only one so far for the X model and very informative at that. Looks like I'll go with the Trinity model, because the scroll wheel tilt is too convenient to give up and knowing yours is still going strong after 2 years is giving me hopes for its build quality. Keep up the good work!
This is a great video!! I got the trinnity and its starting to double click so was hoping there new Naga would be my upgrade. I use the moba side for everything which is 7 buttons so 12 would be a change.
trinity has mechanical switch and this one has optical switch. I would suggest to go with optical switch if you are planing to use this mouse for a long time.
Are the 1-12 side Buttons on the Naga X easy to press as on the Naga Trinity? Or are they a bit more harder to press on the Naga X? I got the Naga Trinity and I feel like the side buttons are a bit too easy to press where I miss click sometimes. If the Naga X Side buttons are a bit tougher to press, then I will return my Trinity for a X :)
Brilliant review man, I was looking for this mouse as it was convenient for my work and gaming but I probably go with the trinity the more options you have is worth the price increase in my opinion,
My naga x releases m1 on its own. For example if im dragging a window to another location on my screen it just randomly releases while im holding m1. First noticed this when the mouse was like a week old or so
@@Runkpapper i got the naga x too now. mine did not start to act up yet. i do miss the scimitar and the ability to adjust the keyboard. i often tend to press the keyboard buttons and trigger all my macros. oh well, at least they reimbursed my money back for the scimitar.
Sigh.... I still got the Naga with the tilt middle button and I love it, though it's getting like 6 years old now n dirty haha. My previous OG Naga I had for like 5 years. it's my go to mouse but I don't wanna pay $200 for detachable buttons and that rubbish, wish I'd bought 2 or 3 of the version I have now :(
the scroll wheel left right click was bad anyways, it made normal scroll wheel click impossible to do cause it would rather go to one of the sides, so it sounds like an improvement to me :)
never owned any other razer products, my friend had a keyboard from them and i absolutely hated it, but i must say everyone was recommending me this mouse for FF14 and I absolutely love it, feels nice and is light and ergonomic
I'd argue that this is one of the most important upgrades as it doesn't come with those cancerous mechanical Omron Switches. (they break all the fucking time) Can't find this revision anywhere in EU yet, though. :( One thing I don't think they fixed though is that rubber band on the scrollwheel, that thing becomes loose over time and messes up the wheel. Wish they made a metal one and be done with it.
I can get this for $45 at Best Buy right now I think I’m gonna pick it up. I’m sure it’ll be quite a bit better than the $30 redragon mmo mouse I have right now lol my non mmo mouse is the Razer Basilisk Ultimate and I love it
My molten razer naga numpads just died a week ago after years of hardcore MMO and multipurpose tasking (Naga is hilariously useful for multitasking!) and I've been thinking of buying Razer Naga X because nobody sells the old Nagas anymore. (My friend has Naga Pro and warned me from buying it as he have double click problem with it) Thanks for the review! Will be buying this Naga X
titanwolf, half the price, same software with even better macro manager options, way way more performant and durable. Half the price. All my razer products died after 6 months
they really need to make an anniversary edition for the original. I still use mine, but really need a new one with the classic Shell. I tried to new naga and had to return it. Can't get used to it. Feels cheap.
Holy shit yours isn't broken? XD Dang I love the old body indeed :( I still have it laying around somewhere. It felt so amazing in the hand. The new shape is aight but the old one is magical xD
Nice review:) l like the naga x, only gripe i got with it its quality wise not on the level of my trusty old g600, but technically it is better in almost any way, love the low weight and snappy sidebuttons and optical switches especially. Definitly my mouse for everything rpg related, for shooters i got the xm1r, but the naga x would do there as well.
I went with the naga x now, because i had 2 logitech G600's and both suffered from not holding the left click and double click issues. Granted the mice lasted me nearly 4 years. I read that the naga x has better and long lasting switches.
wanting to replace my 2014 naga mouse, and this is so tempting, but the thing I worry about is they removed the backward and forward button and replaced it with a dpi switch. I've programed the side for other tasks and wouldn't want to occupy one of the button for functions that was on a dedicated button before... Just notice that missing side scroll...nope for me, definitely not buying it
one question: i have had a razer naga x since today and it is very, very difficult to press the mouse wheel. The mouse wheel can be turned very easily and is not very tactile. Is that normal? I think everything else is very good. I would have liked the same mouse wheel as in the new Razer Viper 8k ... Thanks
@@Jaypher Thanks for the quick reply, I also ordered a Razer Viper 8k for FPS games. The mouse wheel is perfect for me on this one. It's tactile - and not spongy. In addition, the mouse wheel is easy to press. With the Naga X I often press a side button because I have to hold the mouse somehow so that I can click the mouse wheel. Maybe the entire mouse wheel is defective? It actually works flawlessly, but doesn't feel valuable. If the mouse wheel can be pressed like the Viper 8k, my Naga is defective because my Naga is much more difficult to press.
Does anyone know if this mmo mouse has the same problem as the pro I had bought that awhile ago and first day out the box there was a stuttering problem with the pro mouse
It's a medium weight mouse. It's naga shape. Sign me the fuck up. I've _loved_ the naga shape since naga 2012, but after experiencing 60g mice, there is just no going back to the 120g+ bricks. I do however need a new wow mouse and this _definitely_ caught my eye - it's not just another naga, it's a naga that isn't a brick. I wonder if there is some weight reduction to be had with some tinkering...
This would literally be exactly what I am looking for if they didn't ditch the rubber on the pinky. That looks terrible. I want the same mouse as the trinity without the detachable side panel as it always randomly stops registering clicks and getting me killed in fights in fps games.
for me this is the crapist mmo i've ver used.why? i switch fast and frequent between several apps like blender/ ps/ fusion 360 etc. the app f this mouse - "synopse" kind of thing , switch "profile" of the button like 10 seconds after im in another app! it give me a hell of headache, just wating it switch to new app. so the buttons got right. so i have to return this thing tomorrow. g600 has a "ring finger" unconfortable thing , and corsiar schmitar have a double click after a while ( ive used like 5 of them). if u don't have issues like i do, this mouse is pretty okay, nice feeling, clici okay, and that " optical switch" is the reason i bought it, i dont want change it like that corsair schmitar. but anyway, i didnt found my love mouse today.
