Thank you my friend for this simple and straight forward info! Just cleaned mine after a couple of years of intense and dirty use and it looks and acts as its brand new now!
yeah fr I remember I saw this shit 3yr ago and was like....nah but after all this time it just grosses me out, well at least I dont have to do it often (ffs I never cleaned my keyboard and I have it for 4years)
@@dorianpompa8409 I don't have the Ornata anymore, it broke on me probably 5 months after this message i made 3 years ago? I built my own keyboard now since i wanted to have a specific build for it and its pretty worth it since I'm not afraid to remove the keycaps n shit
No, it won't break unless you decide to be stupid and use all your strength to pull it out... so if it doesn't come out then just keep trying and applying a tiny bit more strength little by little, I did all this and I cleaned my keyboard perfectly
I spilled beer over it after cleaning it for the first time in 3 years I'm so pissed lmao. It's fine but 2 keys are pretty sticky/stuck, do I need to clean the inside of the keysocket somehow?
its 100% mechanical feeling and sound but it actually isnt beacuse if it was the keys would go inside the keyboard too deep and couldnt be membrane. So there are mecha switches but its not fully mechanical so they arent used they are there for the sound and the feeling. but its still a really good keyboard.
Yo can you pls help i cleaned my ornata continously with alcohol mostly ethyl and ethanol and even isopropyl it gives the matte finish in some ways but pls can you tell me if I'm corroding something
@@koleff2541 Dude I bought mine years ago and still I'm just considering cleaning it. The most cleaning I ever did was blow through the slits and hope dirt gets blown out somehow. or when i turn it upside down and slap its back like a drunk friend.
@@coopercannon7034 I lubed my Ornata and the spacebar is now mostly silent, using thicker stuff in the braces and thinner lube for the rest it's awesome! I would recomend everyone do it. that extra glide layer has dropped the sound by a few db. Yes to do lube them if you want to.
@@coopercannon7034 I like membrane keyboards, and I wanted the RGB control and the Ornata Croma was the only one that offered that as an option^^ and I got a new one for £40 :D
