RAZOR FINE EDGE RETENTION: m390 and Sandvik 14c28n 1 of 3 

For price there is nothing better than 14C28N. What I like most about it, is easiness, getting edge to be razor sharp.

the thing is, if i do an internet search for a straight razor in 14c28n, or its lesser brother 12c26, i get no results. shame, since the video does highlight that - at least for a constantly-stropped blade - you could get a good bang-per-buck out of these steels. i wonder why they aren't used in razors anymore. at least not straight razors.
