Great razor mate I agree, I have the older RR Hawk V2 Aluminium & the new RR V3 with the A plate, I use the Kai Protouch MG blades which come with the guard, perfect combination for me > aggressive plate+guarded blade.

Good evening Kevy! The Hawk cry was a terrifying surprise...my son's dog experienced that in my back garden and was completely traumatized. What a nice looking razor; a work of art. Yes, Kevy, you are the lather master! I believe those single edge razors clamp the blade better thereby making it more rigid and providing a smoother shave. Nice shave mate. I agree that the water in Scotland is very cold and seals most weepers as it provides sensory overload. Great for waking up too. I found some vintage shave related items over the past month, soaps and blades that I am keen to try. Stay healthy and safe my friend. Take care.

I have two single edge razors. A Gem Clog Pruf Micromatic and a Blackland Vector. I like them both. The Vector is a favorite.

I recently received 100 gem blades from Connaught shaving. I have a Gem Featherweight razor which I really like, now I have the blades and I am good to go:) This soap seems to be very good, I have only tried the BM Latha line of soaps which are no longer made as far as I know, I was not impressed but yeah that was one of BM less expensive soap bases. Another nice shave. I can't recall ever using a SE razor in my younger days. I'm more inclined to stick with a DE because of the obvious advantages. Nevertheless, I can shave vicariously thru your reviews 😉 You stay safe as well.

Nice shave Kevy💈💈 The Hawk did the trick, seems quite mild with that plate but also efficient. I have the Asylum RX SE razor, it's way too aggressive for me, like a R41 on steroids. I have a Hawk 2 and my son a Hawk 3. We love them. But my fave blade for both is not the Feather. They're too aggressive IMO. Schick P30 is the best for me. Great shave, levy. All the best,

Hi Kevy, the RR Hawk V3 is one of my favorite SE razors. What a pity that due to the Brexit does actually not deliver to UK. So at the moment I‘m lucky to life in Germany 😉 Hope this delivery issue will be fixed soon.

I want one of those razors, but they're selling fast. I love my razoroc eco. we don't go to sporting events. Before the the pandemic we would go to Nearby Biloxi, Mississippi to the casinos for concerts. The hard Rock casino arena is huge! We've seen styx, kansas, Blue oyster Cult, Pat Benetar, Loverboy, to name a few.

Great shave. I don’t have a SE razor, so I can’t really say a word about SE razor shaving unless I get my hands on one. Someone should do a soap that has a scent based on soccer or basketball or American football. It’d be interesting and I’d love to hear about a soap company doing a scent based on any of those sports just like B&M did on baseball

Indeed, I am very fond of using SE razors. I like the Style of GEM Contour & Contour 2 but I find the truly ancient Ever Readys shave equally well. I am not as fond of the Modern/Contemporary razors such the OneBlade or Razo Rock Hawk razors. I am seriously bugged by the proprietary blades on one and the unnecessarily expensive artisan blades needed for the other. And I am a huge fan of all the Schick/Eversharp and PAL Injectors.

I have the Supply, One blade core and Blackland Vector. The core blades are too expensive and I find the Supply slightly Artificial, hard to explain. The Vector is great but it can bite in my problem areas lower neck etc and I find it difficult to load the blade, working out which way the blade goes with the head. Probably just me though.

Hi kevy. Great shave as ever. I got a hawk aluminium version one, is the v3 any different in shave apart from the weight? I shave daily and it makes for a quick morning shave and great under the nose. Have u got an opinion on different artist club type blades

could you perhaps test the "The Twig Razor" (SE Razor) from Leaf? It doesn't need any special blades, but only half DE blades, which you can break.

I'm really interested in the Hawk V3. Great review. Would you say this is the smoothest SE razor you've used? Also which is the smoothest razor you've used? And by smooth I mean no blade feel (low risk of irritation) but not necessarily cutting back on the efficiency.

I have the original Blackhawk (version 1). The blade is difficult to load, and even worse to remove. Needless to say I don't use it often. It appears you need to sit in Mrs. Kevy's barber chair. A trim will compliment this great shave. I'm not a baseball fan in the strongest sense of the word. Yet I've seen Manny, and Jeffrey use Diamond. The scent is like a ball park. The sweetness is like Cracker Jack (caramel corn). Then the grass and earth is so remarkably realistic. Today's feedback was very loud for only 2 days of growth. Out of curiosity, does Nevis smell closer to Green Irish Tweed than Sharp Dressed Man? Is the longevity better as well? Thanks for posting, mate. Ok, I have seen enough I believe, time to call the Lather Police Special Unit. Haven't we tell that B&M soaps demand dripping wet brush when loading??? I mean, it was a good lather anyway, but unfortunately they will come at dawn. Tell them you did nothing wrong and next time, you will start with full wet knot. Hope they will understand... (Seriously, if I find it, I will send you a video in the mail, that Will sent me, when lathering the soap. You won't believe your eyes. After loading for 15 seconds, he had the tap running and put the brush under it for 5 seconds!!! He did that 2-3 times) George, the Lather Instructor.
