When you hear a horrible noise most people would stop and check it over, not wind it on lol

either the coupler wasnt tight or the shaft needed grease or both. the part that fried was a grease shield , you dont need that part, it stops the grease from being flung all around the inside of the boat.nice to have but will run next time with out it. It didnt sound right from the start and it didnt seem to be any where near fast enough. Mine does 56mph (90kmh) out of the box with no adjustments.

I have the same problem too! On the first trip. Despite the wave greased, everything is annealed. Will now ask the manufacturer for warranty.

Just like any new model. Cars, planes etc. Always go over every nut and bolt. They are mass produced and things get missed. You needed to pull the driveshaft out and grease it and make sure the coupler on the motor is tight...It was clearly loose from the factory and that drive shaft was spinning about 25,000 rpm so yes things melted lol. It actually is an incredible boat. Don't give up boats😁👍

Incase anyone runs into this problem it’s not a “grease shield” or anything like that. The problem is the way they glued the stuffing tube in the hull. The stuffing tube then spins around kinks the flex cable and melts the front of the stuffing tube mount where it holds it in. The black crap all over is the “glue” they used burning and turning black and smoking.

Exactly what happened to mine the day it was released. I just finally fixed it this past week. Horizon didn’t wanna get me the parts to fix it either. Was a total turn off I didn’t even get to run it for 30 seconds.

Your flexshaft was obviously loose..Hints why it was taking forevvvvverrr to get on plane ..It was spinning freely in the coupler cause ridiculous heat and friction.How the esc didn’t fry you lucked out..always check flexshaft coupler it tight and clean and regrease with blue marine grease after every run. What not to do with your brand new boat! Damn man. You fried her. As you can see, if all was greased and tight and once on plane...that thing takes off. Better luck next time.

Vor dem fahren fetten und alles kontrollieren dann passiert so etwas auch nicht . Ich fahre die Impulse 32 schon fast einen Monat regelmäßig/ mit guter Wartung ist sie absolut schnell unterwegs ( 107 km/h )

Same thing happened to me and Horizon is useless for help. Mine had Teflon parts in the grease shield and in the back, but new parts don't show any Teflon? What the heck. I have 6 boats none this expensive and nothing like this has happened. So mad.

I purchased a 200 dollar rtr boat from horizon, it arrived DOA. Horizon refused to do anything about it.

You need to lift the strut up to lift the nose out of the water more

Wtf you kill the boat 😅 When you hear the high rpm noise and the boat run no fast ,is the collet flex shaft aredy lose, you need to tight it hard , the boat original out of the box on 6s easy to get 50mph

Flex was lose from start. When is that noisy? Bring it in. Sorry man you don’t know. Nothing about boats.

I read your post diagnosis it's wasn't user error you should be able to gun that boat or any boat full throttle over and over without issue it's just a crap design like I said a few guys in my club have these for there kids and they are all crap and pro boat is usually a decent brand rtr company it should go back to horizon and be replaced for free that is on them nothing was loose it was a failure with the bearing in the stuffing box if a flex cable is loose going faster doesn't make it tight like it was it was loose and tight then loose again when you were running that kind of motor doesn't take more then 20 seconds to get on plane like a few people said you should have bring it in immediately and checked it out but you live and learn

What is wrong with you!!!!!! There is an issue on setup powertrim sooooo falls an Schaft lose man The Schaft is loos from the beginning man you hear it from start. Man man man

Change the prop had a couple of props do this taking forever to get out and going trust me I been running boats for 10years better prop then that shit one that comes with it
