I'm a fan of the Suzuki Jimny in real life, even though I may never justify owning one. This RC model has been out a while & seemed to start the scale crusade for FMS/RocHobby.
Although I like the scale wheels out of the box they seemed a bit limited on performance. So I designed some new 3D printed wheels to use 1.33 tyres from the Hobbyplus CR18P Rock van. I've used some 1.33 brass wheel weights also. So the Jimny shouldn't tip over easily. The wheels are still a little rough, so an upgraded design is on the way.
It's not got a lot of ground clearance, but it looks great!
Purchased from FMS website on sale.

What a brilliant job of tracking you do, Guy. If this Jimmy had a driver figure, there'd have been moments where you'd absolutely believe that we were looking at a full-size vehicle.

Thank you Del. I made an extra effort to do a more circular track with the camera. I watched a few of the South Korean video masters to remind me of some of the filming techniques. Are you sure there isn't a driver in there? I'll admit the passenger seat has moved forward and blocked some of the visibility. Scale detail working against me there.

Hello. The tyres are from the HB CR19P 1/18 Rock van. I'm sure I've seen them sold separately. But you could try any 1.3" tyre. Glad you like the video. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍
