My favorite jet ever. Was heartbroken when they announced it's retirement. Whoever was piloting this one is amazing. I've tried rc planes, they're no joke. I would be so afraid to crash it, that landing was beautiful.

How loud are those miniature jet engines? Should you have hearing protection when starting them up and when near them when taxiing? Is there much throttle lag, and if yes does it affect landing technique (IE: can you abort a landing )?

at idle it's not too bad, hearing protection would come handy only when testing the motor on the ground at over quarter throttle. Yes there is a throttle lag, 1-2sec throttle lag depending on how fast your flying (turbine RPM). Yes you can abort the landings and go around only if you catch it early on from the approach, if too low and you don't catch it on time and spool up then the throttle lag may cause you to crash.
