Needs 4ws. Would significantly improve it's already amazing preformance.

Agree, although the Dig feature basically replaces it ;)

Rear steering helps reduce turning radius, and in some situations can be useful, so yea why not :)

@@driverc4357 You should buy a Danchee ridgerock and try to make it beat this Bully V2 spending less then $200 in upgrades. The Danchee is sort of a trend right now. Would love to see what you can do to it!

I will begin building a Bully 2 in the next week. Will need to buy ESC and motors. Any suggestions? Very nice work on the video, BTW, hope to learn to handle mine as well as you do.I Do have experience with trail trucks.

Basically, you can't go wrong with either Holmes Hobbies or Brood when it comes to choosing motors. I went with Brood because I liked the customizing, I went for balance between torque and speed. I have them more than a year now and I'm very happy with them. About the servo, I tried to put something cheap and not so strong at first and it didn't take long to notice that it didn't do well on the rocks, so I switched to Holmes Brushless servo, its quiet, fast, and gives more than 30kg/cm of torque (depends on the voltage you give it). About the ESC, I didnt try much, just had the Hobbywing one and it is really great (especially for the price). But I heard that Holmes has some really great ESC that are smaller in size and weight. Can't say much about other stuff, just from what I had experienced.

@@driverc4357 Thank you for your response. I will look into those as well. This should be an interesting build since I haven't gone quite this far before.

By any chance did you make any holes in the tires to vent out the air it looks really bouncy. 👍🏻🔥😎🔥🤙🏻

Not in this video, here I basically did not touch the RTR except motors, servo and ESC. In my other videos you will see vented and trimmed tires, also switched the stock foam to CI later on, it had a huge effect really.

I just bought a bully 2 and got to this video from rccrawler forum. Nice work. What is the CI foam you reference here? Thanks

Hello.. I am siting her with a HH br-mini dual. But its bought secend hand. I runs bad, maby bad circuit. It runs hot. Its 150 dollar esc.. ;( I would want to try 2 esc 1080 HW. cost 90 dollar and brand new. What can you say abbout your 1080 experiance?
@driverc4357
@driverc4357 4 года назад
HH br-mini dual is probably the best ESC for MOA that enables separate control over each axle, but I think HW 1080 is also great. I didnt have any issues with 1080, its an awesome ESC, also considering its price. However, I put only one such ESC and connected with the RC4WD dig unit, so I dont really know how it will go with two ESCs. I suggest you visit RCCrawler forum (google it), in the Bully 2 section, I think some people posted such builds.

How "different" is the bully 2 to all other "comp" crawlers? I know it's the best, but I so love my capra. Thx in advance!
@driverc4357
@driverc4357 4 года назад
Bully 2 is a MOA, so its different from Capra which has one motor and shafts (some may call it shafty), some advantages of MOA are lower COG, and absolute control of each axis (if you use correct ESC/s). Overall, I think that it provides somewhat better control and stability when crawling, although if you tune your shafty then it can be no less capable than the Bully 2 IMHO.

@@driverc4357 Thank u! I ordered the rtr version. Is it a true rtr or do I need to buy anything else? Besides lipo & tx batteries and charger?
@driverc4357
@driverc4357 4 года назад
True RTR, needs only battery. I must say that the ESC is not so good IMHO, and perhaps you would want to replace the servo too (kinda weak) as first upgrades. In any case, and even if you dont change anything at first, I'm sure you will like the RTR, it's totally worth it :)

@@driverc4357 I'm planning on putting my radiolink 6ch in it, reefs steering servo, & ordered my hobbywing 1080 dual esc. OR do I need 2 single esc's? A MOA I've never had nor had any dealings with. Nor have I ever worked on 1 for my friends. (Sad considering how long I been doing rc. 42 years)
@driverc4357
@driverc4357 4 года назад
Hobbywing 1080 is probably the best ESC for the price tag, I put one in my Bully, and I use the RTR dig unit which works great. I didnt go with dual ESCs, I put different turn motors to compensate rear axle stall issue on steep climbs that occurs with one ESC. I'm quite good with this setup (I dont go on competitions or something, just crawling for fun).
