I absolutely love your idea for mounting the body over fixed grubs. I have a RC4WD Landcruiser and the body screws are a real headache.

Black wheels look excellent on the blue truck IMO.

Treal makes a set of vintage wheels that I put on my blue K10 that I think look good but they are 1.9

Maybe you can thread the grub screw for like a axial drive shaft and have the smooth side sticking our rather than the threads clicking on the body while removing it. Your method is good and it works nice truck.

Man rc4wd is really making it hard not to spend my money, I’ll definitely add one of these to my collection.

The secret to painting perfect tail lights, fog lights, runners etc. is an airbrush and multiple thin dust coats to build up opacity. You'll never get the paint to lay properly with a brush at this scale, it will always end up splotchy and thick on you. Even those cheaper Venturi Style airbrushes is a better choice than a brush. 👍👍

Got my first RC4wd because of you, it’s the Marty Mcfly Xtra cab. I love it but I need to find beefer tires for it. The new Scottsdale is looking really nice now that it has a scale engine bay.

Truck looks awesome. It’s nice to see the engine bay when you open the hood. As for the K44 , I first seen them on the rust bucket blazer I got. I’ve been told they were using yota axles on chev trucks for awhile before that

Damn, looks slick in black! Oh yeah, just a heads up! RC4WD has a detailing kit that adds the missing engine bay details like the A/C equipment, blower motor, the tools/jack and some more fender support detail. The part number is Z-S2221 And as of writing this, RPP still has the breaker and stocker 1.55 wheels in stock, but they are still full price.

What a beautiful truck! One thing I've noticed about scale RC, the wheels are never scale in regards to the year of the truck. Not sure what you've got on the blue truck, but they look much more like scale 15 inch rims than the ones that come on the black truck. Those era trucks need to have scale 15 inch rims. I don’t know why they wouldn’t drop in the aluminum scale 350 and R4 tranny and add a couple of hundred on it like the Limited Blazer? They sold thousands of blazers and more . And for wheels, I personally like 1.9’s on the square body’s, because they are so big and look better with a bigger tire. 1.55’s look better on the Toyota body’s , they are smaller . Do you have any of Engin Saracci wheels? I have 3 sets of his and hands down they are the cleanest looking scale wheels! I’m bolting on his 1.9 Weld Racing Mountain Crushers on my K10.
