RCT2 Reviews: Thorpe Park by Airtime

Today we look at a fantastic semi-recreation of London's Thorpe Park, built by Airtime. Although not a complete recreation, it's pretty darn close with a excellent architectural detailing, rides, and coasters. The park is set as Thorpe Park was in 2006, before the last 14 years of newer additions. Come along and explore the island as we look at this amazing park!
This park was built in RCT2 vanilla, using various trainers to hack the game for many of the rides and scenery elements. Download the park here:

As someone who's been to Thorpe park very recently, this is very cool to see! The rides look to be amazing recreations but a few details have changed since. I'm going again soon so I'll make sure to take note of what it looks like from above and if you want I'm sure I can take some reference photos of the newer ridesm

Thanks for the kind words Brian. Regards to Zodiac; it was hard to place it in the park and fit everything else in properly so I took the RCT aesthetic‘s over realism. That’s the whole motto of this park tbh. As you mentioned Colossus is another example as well as most of the buildings between Inferno and Stealth. If you’re in the area to visit Thorpe, Chessington or Lego, give me a shout I live next to them.

Thanks! I was happy to go back and take a closer look at this since it had been a few years. The details are still so good and hold up incredibly well. I had spent a fair amount of time walking the park in Streetview and it's pretty amazing how some of the areas are just spot on. Would love to see an update if they can get ride of the object limit at some point. I'll let you know when my wife and I head over that way. Looking like June of 21 now, but I've learned this year never to assume!

If I get the motivation I’d defo like to add to this, timeline it. Give it more depth with seasonal events e.g. Fright Nights. Probably have to delete the surroundings to get over the object limit until they fix it. June 201, at least you could visit Paultons and get the new Mack Spinner.

Was lucky enough to visit Thorpe Park during a trip to London years back. Mr. Monkey's Banana Ride has stuck in my head all of these years for some reason. Delighted to see it covered here, and the rest of the park as well of course.

Thanks! Airtime did an incredible job with this park. I forgot how much I enjoyed it. Vespucci is still on the list-- just need to get to it, haha. The list has gotten longer. I'll try and knock that out within the next week or two though!

I'm impressed by the custom supports, I can never get them to look right. Especially inversions are seemingly impossible.

One park I'd like to see done is Sunset Resort. I remember watching that park be made on the fourms way back in the day.

Is that the one by enigma? I'm actually not super familiar with it, but I just downloaded it to look through. Seems like something I'll enjoy for that period in RCT history. Thanks!
