Well, there is a way that Arthur can k!ll him in chapter 2 lol, but he eventually respawns of course - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9TNW_dEN8dU.htmlsi=aFUrsAaQFWJtlvhH
This horse holds a special place in my heart and will always be considered my Arthur’s canon horse. RIP Orion, we will meet again on the next adventure.
Mine is a female and under most light she looks pink. So her name is Rose 🌹. Still in chapter 2 but I get a bit teary when I think of her future. She’s my girl
I have that horse to level 4 bonding but it still throws me off when facing a cougar or bear. I don't know if there is an RNG when it comes to horse bravery but the Perlino i have in my playthrough gets afraid of the same stuff as my white arabian does.@@RockworthRDR2
@@lunasilvermoon2283 Really? No horse is exactly the same. That’s why different players have different experiences than other players with that exact same horse. However; I would say that any andalusian at level 4 bonding should perform better than what’s happening with you. Some horse breeds in the game tend to be braver than others, but that hidden courage stat is just unpredictable I suppose.
I have read somewhere that stable-bought horses (which are supposedly trained) tend to be braver than wild horses you break in yourself, so i'd have to try that to see if that Andu is better or not@@RockworthRDR2
@@lunasilvermoon2283 Hmm, interesting. I haven’t heard that one. It may be true, that’s something I may have to look into as well. I never buy horses, even when I get them from stables I steal ‘em lol
i love that they added more horses that you can find in chapter 2. i really like starting arthur out with a horse and keeping it the whole playthrough and this one is one of my favorites. arthur needed more blue-eyed horse options
When did they add the horses? And to find this specific horse is there any kind of glitch or you just find it like how you used to find the white Arabian horse?
If anyone does not know the breaking trick, pull down on left stick and move it between 8 and 5 o'clock while rapidly tapping the square button, horse will break in less than half the time. Good luck !
@@matthewhummel1572 don't overlook the Hungarian Half Breed, when you collect the debt from the Polish guy, look in the barn before you leave, very underrated horse.
@@king_b7160 missouri foxtrotter and turkoman is much better, a tanky horse is almost never needed because of heals, and bravery is not a real stat all horses will throw you off at random. The only stats tha really matters are speed, stammina and acceliration, they are stats that will affect your gameplay the most. Especially when you want to get all items, animals and so on you will be riding ALOT so time is everything.
@king_b7160 you do realise he said strafing . . . Not starting? So when your weaving your horse around shooting off its back left to right in a slow pattern to avoid incoming fire?
Absolutely the best horse in the game! Never bucked me once in any playthrough I've done. Bears, panthers, cougars, gators, wolves... it sidesteps, stomps around a little, but is absolutely FEARLESS!
I get this horse every play through. When you put the Panther Saddle on Him/Her, to me it just looks so Epic. Definitely a good choice. Descent stats as well.
this is one of the coolest looking horses in the game imo. it's not just tanky and brave for stats, it looks like it too. it's incredibly useful when you're getting ambushed and you want to fight on foot because the game automatically unequips your rifles when you dismount for some reason. most horses run away if you're getting shot when you dismount so it's hard to get your rifles back but this one stays still so it's a lot easier.
That cougar chase (never seen one before) was really amazing. Ask someone how to kill a cougar without a shot and they will come up with knifes and stuff (good luck) but probably never with "my horse"
I came across this horse by chance recently. I named him Llamrei after King Arthur’s horse 🐴 the setting with the waterfall and this beauty of a animal just felt right for it.
I tamed one of these but never used it much because I got the Braithwaite Turk right after. But the perlino was attached to me, it was weird. If I hitched my horse at camp, the perlino would come over on its own and nose between us. It would run down the path to camp to greet us on our return. Its part of the programming, but it was begging for action. When I finally took it out, it was incredible. Stays loyal in battle, never leaves me hanging, stands tall against everything that threatens. I know there is no programming on that stuff, apparently, but i swear something is going on with this horse. Random yes, but its there.
The best part of having this horse is when you dismount it doesn't wander off. So many times I needed to mount up quickly and my horse was off doing God knows what. I keep this horse on every playthrough now.
Not sure if anyone is interested in an easy way to break any horse but, if when approaching the horse you spam the square button until you get close to the horse, then immediately hit triangle, and once you mount the horse immediately hit the left D pad to bring up your "Tasks" list, the whole thing will put you in slow-mo...just ride it out until the horse is broken, you will not get bucked off...you will know it's broken by either the little horse icon on the top right, or when the horse stops bucking.
So I just learned keep Arthur’s back facing you and pull the anolog stick towards you and just move slightly left and right depending which way the horse is turning. You’ll break it in less than 30 seconds. No spamming needed
I tamed this horse in the beginning and then lost it not knowing you cannot have 2 temporary horses...I didn't care and went on without it..later in the game i realized it's Worth i was so sad losing it...i carved for it even after having turkoman and pinto....I went to check if it is still there in the wild .... I got the Girl version in the wild. I cried like literally...😢😢 Long lost love found much
@@dewicahayafitri1089 yea I just realized my game was glitched and it actually allowed me to store more than 4 I’m not sure how I did it though definitely something to do with the white arabian
Just randomly found it today.. first play through in chapter 2. I goggled the horse name, found this awesome video. Thank you. Now I'm looking forward to level 4 bond then going hunting panthers.
Found this horse in Chapter 4. Awesome horse! I was wondering if anyone else found it! Got two play games going. Got a male and a female. Sad that I am going to lose it. They should have made it where Marston could buy Arthur's horses after he dies. Hate to lose this horse. Going to wait to visit Hamish with Marston to get Beull.
I have silver dapple thoroughbred, Never bucked me off even once. I regularly hunt hordes of o Driscoll and bounty hunter. It performs excellent in combat as well as speed.
My favourite horse is still the golden Turkoman you can buy in Saint Denis... Standard/WarHorse... really fast and solid... - and when it rains its fur is like liquid gold!
The Turkoman are freightened little girls, when compared to the Andalusian. And speed and accelleration does not matter, a Ton of videos comparing horses speed can confirm this.
On my second playthrough I stopped progressing after reaching chapter 3 and got Legend of the East outfit for Arthur, I grabbed this horse and named him "Not Buell" 😁 I absolutely love this horse, any other horse starts running away automatically before even getting close to predators or simply just buck you off, this Andalusian though he just gets in right into their face and gives no fks. Easily my favourite horse in the entire game.
Great horse! I love the pure black American Standardbred and white Arabian too. Just zoom around the map early game and have all the npcs complimenting your horses looks. Weirdest comment I got was "I wish my horse was that hot" outside strawberry lol.
I'm glad I saw your video. I was using the white Arabian, but I got jumped by a bear the horse instantly bucked me off and ran and I got mauled to death. I can't look at it the same anymore so I'm going to find this war horse.
I just recently got this beautiful horse at the beginning of chapter 6. Haven’t gotten much play time with him but from what I’ve seen, he’s pretty well against any attacks, maybe not the bravest but he tries.
An excellent horse, especially for hunting, but the Dutch Warmblood, from Valentine stables, is the best I found for the Van Horn to Blackwater challenge - getting over that broken bridge with no trouble.
I ran into this thing the other day and Broke it, ran around the corner into the waterfall to grab the treasure map and came back out and the horse was gone. I didnt even know it was rare. Was odd to find it alone in that spot as Id never seen it in any of my previous 2 playthroughs.
This horse, with the panther saddle is a good one for a low Honor play through. Behold the pale horse and the man that's sits on him, his name is death.
Fun fact: I saw a wild horse when I was looking for Jim boy Calloway, it was this andalusian perlino, but just after I got him, had to duel Calloway. The horse was standing right in between , and we both got shot. I restarted the checkpoint and killed Calloway, the horse didn’t even blink with the shooting… yep, that moment I knew this was the horse I was looking for!
As a test, I just went to get this Andalusian to see how brave it is. At Level 1 he's a total chicken so far. Backed off from snakes and totally refused to move down the road at all because a black bear was a good distance off the trail in the woods. I'm going to level him up to 4 and see if he is better. Will comment after testing.
So the horse was afraid of everything at L1. Now at L4, it was still skittish, but I was able to ride right up to and past a black bear plus ride over the top of solitary gators. Horses that are afraid will stop before you get to the gator. So horse bond level matters a lot.
This horse spoils you because of how good it is and how gorgeous it looks. I named mine braveheart and I keep coming back to it after trying new horses.
Immediately found it where you said. The bravery was also immediately apparent. I was riding back to camp after breaking him and got caught in the woods by a few wolves. I had a 4 bonded American Standard Bread with me following and that thing ran off immediately while this thing just stood ground and didn't even flinch.
The Mustang is my favorite. It doesn’t panic easily even when a panther or a cougar is already in front of its face. It’s not the fastest but reliable enough to get me from point a to b.
By the way, surely someone else in the community will have already noticed it but, according to what is reported in the wiki, if I'm not mistaken this horse actually seems to be the only wild horse (which can be found freely and for free in nature) to have one of the four statistics (health in this case) equal to "7". This certainly makes it unique in its own way.
Hey mista Rockworth ! big thx for all yer vids bud, I just returned back to gaming this superb game, fantastic game, sadly they dont make games like this anymore. BIG UP to you brother
Just picked up this horse yesterday because my Arabian died and I sure as hell wasn't riding a shire everywhere. Named her Kerosene and she's my 2nd favorite horse I've ever had.
Juat got this now on my 2nd playthrough. I have high bounties all over so had to wait for some hunters to go away so they didn't scare it off. Beautiful horse.
Isn't it frustratingly slow when coming from some of the faster horses? I used an arabian through my entire first playthrough and to be fair I didn't notice the skittishness until I started researching other breeds, but it was still near impossible to kill it. I don't know if the sacrifice in speed would frustrate me. Going to give a warhorse a bash and see...
It’s not “frustratingly” slow to me, like other workhorses. Won a race with her and got stat boosts that helped also. Was using her more than either of my Arabians once I realized she basically doesn’t spook. I think I JUST reached “this is now your temporary horse” bond level and a bear came by. She was a lil resistant to go that way towards it, but other than that, she didn’t even flinch. That was all I needed to know lol.
The tobiano american paint is also a brave horse , its a war and work horse , got this horse at chez porter doing the home robbery side mission havnt been thrown once .
Ran into an ambush while riding where a caravan exploded. I was at level 3 bonding. The explosion got me bucked but this horse didn’t run away. Got back on an killed our way out of it
get the dark one from the lawmen or bounty hunters, they seem alot braver than the wild one. also looking for a way to get a dark bay Turkmen in chapter 2 or i guess chap 3. i know i can get one from the Braithwaite's when i get that far tho.
@@HBGP-007there is. Not as scaled as the previous guy says. But you can see by yourself that non war horses like Arabians get spooked sooo easily, while Andalusians not. Don’t pay attention to people saying that horse’s bravery is a busted myth.
@@secretweapon7764 but never seen or heard about an Arabian behaving like the Andalusian shown in this vid. The game guide itself mentions it like a very brave and hard to spook horse. Come on, it trampled over a cougar, it’s fire
I really wanted to like this horse, but imo the dark bay andalusian just looks so much better, and can also be had early ch2. It does have reduced stats 5/4/3/3 compared to the perlino at 7/5/3/3, but in actual use it's hardly discernible: it still has the same health stat as the foxtrotter, and only 1 point less stamina than the perlino (i never got the perlino even close to running out of stamina).
I found it, pressed square to calm but horse kicked me twice, finally just ran towards it, climbed and pulled my controller stick back. This one is much easier to break than Arabian
It's the only horse I use in the game. Mine is a female, I don't know if it's related, but in the presence of cougars or 3 or more wolfs she bucked. Its not superfast but it takes a lot of it and in presence of shootings she keeps going.
I found and broke this horse, thanks to this video. However, as I was returning to camp the panther(?) attacked us, this horse threw me, and I died. Now I don't know where to find this horse again. Any ideas? It would be truly appreciated!!
Damn, I always thought that Ardennes horses were as calm as a rock when some situations get intense. I've never really tried riding the Perlino Andalusian cause its bright blue eyes make it look kinda creepy to me 😅
I've gotten this horse before with no problems. Just started a new game, in chapter 2, AND HES NOT THERE !!!! Is there a mission that has to be done first????
Hi Rockworth if you sell this perlino andalusian can you still tame it in wild after couple of days? like the white arabian? or this is only a one time getting this horse? also we can also get the this horse in a stranger mission with a veteran right?
I’m definitely now getting an Andalusian the next time I play also and encounter I had with a cougar when I had the first horse you get at level 4 bonding he dint bother bucking me off I just kept calming him eventually he became calm and I kicked the cougar till it ran off
