Investing any reasonable amount of time into RD2 or even GTA5/online absolutely destroys the quality and detail of all other open world games. I try playing witcher 3 and I cringe observing the movement and horse animations... still fun, but it's nothing like a Rockstar release.
@@dislikebutton4981 Witcher 3 came out 2015 and had a lot of support with great content and DLC's. In witcher 3 you had multiple choices of handling a mission even dialogue options. In RD2 just standing sometimes 2m from the mission would give you a fail, no options, no freedom, no choice, old wanted system from gta vice city, cops have gps system to track you down, everyone knows you all the time. Open world with nothing in it and even having sold millions of copy's no support from Rockstar games. I like both games but Witcher 3 is still king because CDP did the right thing with it. RD2 and online has a huge potential but Rockstar only loves money, so only GTA online is getting the love right now.
@@TheVanmeijer No absolutely not, the game cost in between 170 million to 240 million dollars, and that's because of the high living cost in big city's and the multiple delays the game had. The 540 million dollars are the total cost with marketing, those number are estimated and cold be wrong. the Real numbers where in between 370 to 540 millions with marketing cost's but game journalist's love to pick up the highest numbers and that's why you see the number 540 million when talking about RD2. People thing the Witcher 3 cost 80 million but in reality it's a 50 million dollar developing cost and a 30 million dollar marketing cost making it a total of 80 millions. Witcher 3 has a low budget cost because of being developed in Poland and the less intensive work on animation.
Just finished RDR2. Have to say it was worth every penny. A masterpiece. The story, the graphics, the realism, vibe, music, the characters, everything is top notch.
The only Characters I like are Sadie, Arthur and Lenny, Tilly, Charles and Hosea (although I wish he had more dialogue). All the other one's are annoying and useless.
@@sanchitasrivastava1753 why twist the plot, it's actually 10 yrs ahead for real, see the quality, gameplay, details they have in their game, is mind-blowing
it was there in splinter cell chaos theory back in 2006 ......that game was way ahead of its time, unfortunately Ubisoft isn't the same it was back then
When horses react to gunshots, I'm pretty sure in rdr2 when you have a higher bond level with the horse it reacts differently. My horse with level 4 bonding doesn't react to any gunshots I fire. Cool detail
Red dead just destroys each and every game which comes in its way What a masterpiece Damm I earn 2 subs I had made 3 videos and I had earned 18 subs but just a comment and got 6 Cool
Something else I noticed while watching this which is a cool little detail. At 7:20 when you show a horse collision and the NPC starts a gunfight. The NPC gets up after the collision holding his left arm at his side because he was hurt from the fall from the horse. Just a small detail that makes it more realistic than just having the NPC get up like nothing happened.
Also sometimes the npc will just get knocked out from the collision instead of just straight up dying. One way to tell of someone is dead or knocked out is to aim at their body and if the dot is red like they’re alive than it means they are knocked out. If the dot stays white or turns gray it means the npc died
considering just how fast the gaming industry evolves, the fact that rdr2 is still on top of the industry (in terms of physics, ai and general realism) is impressive. i wonder how long we’ll wait for a game that manages to beat it.
@@SamS.7598 watching this video made me realize that since RDR2 came all games I've played from ubisoft has felt so cheap. I think that the start of the last generation xbox one and ps4 they made better games. AC Unity for example feels really good, looks great not the best story wise and had a bad launch with bugs but the graphics and everything looks incredible. Since AC Origins they have used the same assets in every single game and you can tell they are more about quantity over quality. But of course we want something new to play always and they give us games every year
Yeah but all of their games take so fucking long the wait is horrible but the game is worth the wait when it comes out and they don’t release unfinished shit every year like every other big studio
It's Obvious RDR2 is gonna win this,I mean,It's RDR2 ffs.... But credit where credit's due,FC6 ain't much of an effortless lazy game either, I still think the Game is actually filled with great tiny details of its own and it's still certainly a Stunning looking and Detailed game overall tbh and the jump from FC5 to FC6 is night and day. ....now CP2077 on the other hand.
We blame R* for not releasing GTA 6 but we all know, when they do release, it'll be used as THE standard to compare each game that gets released later xD
@@yoda9256 You know there's a roleplay server that was made by one person, I'm pretty sure a squad of people could make something that could be GTA VI. I know all models are developers but they could be if they have the talent.
@@buggy730 dude, RDR2 took 1,600 professional, paid workers eight years to make… a couple of modders can make a mod or add some textures or whatever… not a game
@Yung David yeah ppl didn't like the realistic character movement in rdr2 edit: guys stfu I meant the character movement being heavy. if you compare the movement with gta 5 it would feel heavier
Seriously, RDR2 has to be the most detailed game world ever made. The amount of thought that went into every tiny bit of detail is astonishing. I think RDR2 takes the crown for me for the most detailed game made to date, completely eclipsing all others (and most definitely CP2077). When Rockstar Games does it well, they do it damn well.
@@progamervn5245 god of war isn’t an open world game yes it’s amazing but you have to consider than RDR2 is a huge open world and no other game comes close
I remember slamming the breaks in a Far Cry 4 race because a deer run in front of my car. Almost failed. Then in a different race, a dude was blocking my path. Just accelerated without giving a fuck.
In terms of story telling, it absolutely will remain a masterpiece but graphics/details are something that eventually will outdate It will not remain a graphical masterpiece even in this next decade, someday you will also see 'red dead redemption 2 REMASTERED'
I have a question. In RDR 2, if ur horse dies in the jungle, would it be quite difficult to go to any safe house, as there is no vehicle, and you cant get just any horse, you have to bond too and there are many wild animals waiting to eat you alive.
I know that no games could come near RDR 2, but given the fact that FC6 did a tremendous job considering it's developing time comparing to RDR 2 which took 8 years.
Dude there’s nothing like revisiting red dead redemption 2. It’s such a great game and I’ve noticed so much more detail about it the second time around
@@abcdefgh6121 it can be anything from little foreshadowing moments in the game to little encounters you have with strangers and other characters you may not have seen the first go around
Yeah. I have it but I don't think I'm old enough to have GTA five. I don't get why I'm allowed to have either as they are the exact same thing to my knowledge but I really know as I haven't played it in a while. All I remember is committing the worst crimes in that game imaginable and complementing the graphics.
I give both character models of the horses in the games 9 out of 10 for realism in design but rdrd2 did get it better for the next step by having the horse reactions more realistic
Rockstar games are the standard of gaming actually... expect for their online games but they have a different team for that so it's not the same rockstar. You can't deny that GTA IV and V were awesome as well (rdr2 is the best tho)
@@francescacastronovo647 Liked 4, did not like 5. I'm one of the minorities on this. Maybe its my generation. Vice City for me was the best though. Again, I think it has to do with my generation. The RDR games are a different tone though and I think they nail it well.
I guess the main point is that it's not the release date of the game that matters, but the amount of effort invested in its creation. It feels like studios nowadays are trying to release the game as soon as possible, while sacrificing quality.
Ubisoft games has potential to be good but their games are too rushed. They nearly pumped Assassin's Creed every year until newer Assassin's Creed like Valhalla is bad
I bought red dead 2 around when it came out and I'm still finding many details and features as well as locations and other activities that I never knew existed, Rockstar did an amazing job.
They did an incredible job with everything, BUT the combat. Melee combat is actually pretty fun but the shootouts become repetitive after a while. I know It's supposed to be realistic but still.
GTA V: It took about 7 years for the other games to be able to compete with it. RDR2: It will probably take another 5 years to finally have worthy opponents. GTA IV: doom and dark souls music start playing at the same time.
I know I’m a bit late but in RDR2, horses aren’t scared of water, but they really don’t like it, they will leave water immediately whenever they aren’t mounted and take larger steps when in shallow water to try to keep their hooves out of the water
My mind's on how much of that Definitive Edition did Rock Star break versus those graphic enhancements. It's going to be a dirty job, but ENXGMA is gonna have to *_compare_* it up.
If you mean that the trilogy looks bad I can see why But as all 3 of the games are my childhood seeing it with that somewhat same look with modern systems makes me like it more If it had the hyper realism of rdr2 or gta 5 I would have bought it but wouldn't have been as excited Rockstar is trying to keep the same feel of old games I ain't defending rockstar cuz those guys destroyed gta 5 and its legacy with the thing that is gta online but I'm just eayin
@@Jonas-ej7id we will never get that as it will take at least 200 million dollers for that to be made. But the aiming and shooting mechanics mini maps and stuff has been improved (according to rockstar) I also hope that we can take cover as it adds an extra layer of complexity to the game
Basically It's more than 3 years since they use the same assets as all previous farcry games from far cry 3... So no... The game wasn't done in 3 years... Rockstar had to start all the way over with rdr2
@@fxliquorfeatoldsheikh1142 only base map of new austin, plus they didnt add 80% buildings and sightings from rdr... they started over with with the base rdr2 map. with new mechanics, details and graphics at an even higher scale. so basically, yes, they didnt. not like far cry's same everything, just new graphics and animations
I'm a massive Far Cry fan but this was never even a question. RDR2 is the greatest single player experience I've ever had. Maybe best game I've ever played period.
@UCakJJjHTeIg5ShEyFA7bRoQ It is an open world game that takes place in Los Angelos during the 70s and focuses on a detective questioning multiple people and uncovering schemes and corruption. Definitely not made by Rockstar.
You got the bit with horses not being scared of water wrong, they will grunt harder, and if you dismount one, even in shallow water, they will immediately go at full speeds out of the water
This goes to show that anything that comes from rockstar is always a masterpiece and I’m sure it takes quite a lot of time to create something this wonderful, that’s why we’ve got to be patient with them on GTA6, Im very sure it’s been in development for years. Imaging how itd be like when it’s out.
@@hobei4605 red dead one had an MAX of 18 fps on xbox360 what made it unplayable for me and and bully is just straight up overratet i thought it would be like an huge open world with 80 hours playtime and it was an school and when you get to the open world it sucked ass i also finished it in 20 hours
I put 90 hours into RDR2 on a 1080 ti and thought nope I need to to this what this really looks like. So I got a strix 3090 oc and water cooled it both sides. Then I started again to see it in all it’s glory. Totally worth the entrance fee. Greatest game ever made, period
@@-nightraider-1169 just like everyone else who thinks rdr2 is a masterpiece, all you say is “story, graphics, npcs, details”, where is the fucking GAMEPLAY?? Easily the worst part of the game and a dealbreaker for many rockstar fans
Funny thing to know is that red dead redemption 2 is actually the most realistic horse game on the market. Never such a level of detail has been reached before. Environment physics, muscles physics, different breeds and coats, and the insane numbers of animations provided. For example, focusing on just the different speeds you have : little walk, then jog at the trot, more extended trot, super extended, canter, extended canter, in hand gallop and full extended gallop. you also can back up, piaf, drift or half pass, sliding stop and many more plus you can interact with your horse, brush, feed and lead him. Your horse also react to the environment surrounding him, threats, animals, the weather etc... It's basically a horse simulator lol And I'm only talking about a small part of the huge detailed and polished world of red dead redemption 2. I do recommend the yt channel of strange man to see all the secrets hidden in this game which are insane. tbh we can't compare far cry 6 which is just made in a small amount of time to make cash as quick as possible. It's not the same approach as rockstar as they don't make a lot of games but when they do, they create true pieces of art
True. They even render horse dick and horse shit. Each and every NPC feel like a normal human and has a life of their own. The way they react to our action and how we react toward that reaction is also realistic.
far cry 6 was literally far cry 5. same death screen, same animations, poor storyline, but all they did was add a bit new stuff and its somehow an improvement?
